I think that most people understand that winning is cyclical. They don't want to see a partially built house in terms of a team such as when Ralph refused to complete his 1970's team or allow Polian to go get Keith Jackson from the Eagles or Ray Childress from the Oliers during the SB era. When rebuilding in OP got to be an issue people realized that Ralph was never going to change and were only going to invest only so much themselves during the season. As far as Brady goes the minute you bank on him for things such as stadium is when he has a career ending injury or father time catches him early on. People have been so spoiled by the current regime in NE that when they fall on hard times people will stay home. It happened with the Dolphins post Marino-Shula, The Raiders, and down the line. A long stretch of greatness is fine but there is a price to be paid in that people don't readily take to disappointment after those times so attendance slumps disproportionately.

This all changes with a few consecutive successful seasons. I loved Ralph but he was the single biggest reason for the underperformance at the ticket window. If the Pegula's have their people now and treat them right people will see that they are committed to winning. Ticket holders will come from 100 miles in all directions creating upward pressure on ticket prices. It's not just about winning but commitment as well. Ralph laid the egg too many times with Saban, Knox, Polian, etc. and people were just put off by that.

HIs perspective is lacking for whatever reason. Just in New York there is 3 million people west of I-81 (Watertown, Syracuse, Binghamton) that could be considered potential customers along with 250,000-300,000 in NW PA. At least a couple million people in Southern Ontario so the customer base approaches 6 million people. If he discounts people here as not being potential customers then you have to do the same in Minn-St P. Not all of those 73,000 dollar households will be buyers of Vikings tickets or gear. Nobody is just going to put down money out of the goodness of their heart when it comes to political entities. Best to plan for no help and be pleasantly surprised when it does come versus expecting 100's of millions for associated costs and have your hand hanging you know where expecting it will come. Orchard Park may be awkward in its layout but it is essentially complete and those savings will loom very large as any project gets worked out.

The existing infrastructure in downtown Buffalo will be of minimal use for a stadium and support features. The road ways are not designed to handle tens of thousands of cars in a couple hour period twice a day on a Sunday among other things. Catching a bus, train, or subway is pure fantasy at this point.
-
I agree with your logic in large part but infrastructure will be key in this and however awkward some of it is in OP at least it is there. The downtown contingent overlooks that by many estimates it will take over 100M to do the upgrades to make a stadium practical and usable there. Further, these same people moan "the state will have to pick up the cost of eminent domain, new roads, utilities, parking, etc." and in my mind that is wishful thinking and no more than that. Up off I-90 near Clarence would provide a "clean sheet" if you will for the associated costs and have fewer lawyers to move aside or be bought off. You are right in that long term the Bills will have to court big money from outside Erie County which would include Ontario and those patrons might be more interested in a quick in and out versus an entertainment district that can be accessed by foot.

Now if Obama had his third term i.e. Hillary....................... A lot of the Subaru all wheel drive vehicles have a heritage that goes back to the AMC Eagle from the late 1970's/early 1980's. -

Without further examination there is nothing proving those canisters are full of tear gas versus being elaborate smoke bombs. If Hollywood can fake it so can a motivated political group with an agenda. -
Doug Marrone Not Getting Fired Per Ian Rapoport
RochesterRob replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was only possible with an AFC South that was a train wreck with Watson and Luck out among other factors. Marrone can fool the media but he can't fool NFL execs including Coughlin who know how to analyze things. -

Your communist masters pretty much adored the media when they had complete control over it. I don't think that they or you would talk so loving if the media was adversarial to them. By the way American values are far more complex than one politician or one political party and for that I am thankful. I would think that it would have to be killing you to withhold telling everybody here your idea of an ideal state. Why don't you just open up and be done with it. You know that you want to. Hopefully, the lights have not gone out for the evening on the Soros cubicle farm so you post back soon. -

Murder journalists? Until now I thought that was a low blow for even you but now I know better. Anyways, I am too much a lover of this country and like seeing a thriving middle class among other things. Russia although it currently does not openly state it still considers the US an adversary and really thinks that economic gain should be pretty well be limited to a ruling class. Sounds like you to a tee. -

Strongmen usually have complete power. Trump has anything but. Not a Trump lover but his willingness to throw convention to the side has some promise. I certainly can't give him a grade as his work is incomplete in most areas to this point. -

Guys like Tiberius keep declining the invitation to espouse the joys of a restrictive state. That aside it seems that the guy who employs the stinkiest turds during a time of upheaval gains control of a country. It's not about liking but pretty much fearing the state. -

I'll concede that as long as the printing presses for currency keep running it is hopeful for the Democrats but past that people will get tired of being fed garbage even when the Democrats call it caviar. I think that Putin's Russia is more conducive for guys like you and we both know that. Still far less individual freedom for the average person and you prefer it that way. Travel is still far from being totally unrestricted but not as bad as the old Soviet days. There are still eyes in every locale for people deemed unfriendly to the state. -

Not like it is done or has been done in socialist or communist states. You are concerned about burning up the planet so no doubt you are in favor of limiting population such as China has tried to do with a one child per couple law. Perhaps food should be rationed to the most "intellectually promising" so the mouth breathers will be gone in 50-60 years. Likewise energy should be rationed to the most "intellectually promising" to keep the planet from burning up. Those determined to be nothing more than a drag on resources due to lacking intellectual creativity will be limited to a certain number of calories and watts that might sustain a cat on a daily basis. Am I getting close? It would considerably deepen the dating pool for guys like him. -

You are hardly stealthy in your views and vision. You want a government that firmly controls the masses. -

You can fool yourself but you are very obvious to the rest of us. As to Asia it is one step at a time regardless of your political affiliation. In your case it is embargoes and sanctions to get the Asian countries to do what you want at least until like minded individuals take over leadership. In your mind China was heading the right direction with Mao but then people started wanting things. -

From where you sit there is a a solution but not one that can be sprung on the public all at once and only after the ability to resist by the public at large has been eliminated. Admit it. You dream of a government that can dictate to the public without back lash. Clown cars would be the best a person could hope for in your utopia. -

Good point and one I forgot about but as was said when similar plants were idled they can always be returned to production if there is a shift in oil prices or the economy. -

You a GM worker? I did not think so. The automotive industry has been out of the shadows of the Presidency since WWII when the POTUS could influence how much plant space went to the war effort. In the late 1970's the die was cast outside the influence of the Presidency when Chrysler and Ford were at risk of slipping under the water. Only movements made by the respective managements of both companies ensured the survival of each going into the late 1980's. Heck, we are decades beyond when a quarter point move by the Fed would make or break a year for the US auto companies. This move just confirms that there is too much capacity for the expected business heading into the future. We already have 96 and 108 month financing or 250 dollars per month leasing on 35-40K vehicles. The only thing left to do was reduce production and work the cost side of the equation. Maybe there is something that Trump can do but a lot of the economic Viagra has been used up with tax deals and so forth. -
Did not get to see every play but does anybody know how many snaps Kyle Williams played today. It seemed like there were a fair number of big runs when he was out. Maybe Edmunds should have been assigned to spy Fournette? Archeleta said the Jags OL was dominating our DL and if that was true that concerns me. Big games against our run D by Indy and the Jags makes me think that our staff will make DL a higher priority than it should be in the draft.
