We can go back and forth on Journey and like I said they are not an alpha male band. They were getting the most airtime for a group on MTV back when that first started. As far as the Stones go while I liked a fair amount of their material they were derided as being the band for your brother who is 8-10 years older than you. It still does not change the bottom line for me which is trying to get and keep a desirable girl who happens to be into Journey complete with concert shirt. The ones with a white body and colored sleeves made of a thick cotton.

If they put your date in a good mood then you never want them booed off. I know that they are not alpha male material but they have their place.

I'm kind of surprised as Journey was the "it" band of the early 1980's. But one has to consider the sounds are different between the two. Thorogood probably has a little more pull with a working class audience. Still have not found my answer as I can't find the actual MTV clip. Lots of reunion concert material. Perhaps the original material is protected from Youtube viewership.

Probably better than hiring the best looking female with the tightest clothes which most employers banks or otherwise use. I remember buying a pickup truck back in the mid-1990's at a Chevy dealer and one of the sales staff there was a woman wearing tights and boots above the knee. I thought that look was out of place for a non-city dealership and doubted that even for an urban dealer that wardrobe would fly at least for Rochester, NY. I went in for warranty work a few months later and heard that she got let go.

I can believe it. Normally the cat wins 99 out of 100 times where the human lacks weapons such as guns or knives. But there are the rare moments where there is a rock nearby to crash into the cat's head or a branch with a jagged end to impale into a vulnerable area. I would doubt that even Rambo could out wrestle a big cat if it came down to that.

Didn't he say that he was going to buy the Presidency with his cut from the Tomahawk missile caper. -
Did not Journey have a clip from one of their tours using Rich Stadium in their MTV video cut? I think that the video might have been "Girl can't help it."

Leonard from TBBT before grad school? -
I know people who started community college before they turned 18 so there very well could have been minors there by the definition of the law. Some people take additional course work while still in high school as well at a community college. Might just be a dozen people out of a few hundred students in general but they are there.

Does Brady finally hang it up now?
RochesterRob replied to blacklabel's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that they so something. Perhaps trade for Foles. Foles comes in knowing Brady is top dog until his body says otherwise. Foles gets an assurance that Bill B will be around for at least 5-6 more years to have some of that magic come Foles' direction and win a couple rings. Depending on Brady's mood he reworks his contract down to league minimum to make that happen. -

He wants to beat the Steelers record. He wants to shut the mouths of anybody that says "but the Steelers............" I agree with those that say they could lose Gronk and a couple other players and still be a legitimate contender. It boils down to Brady's physical condition come training camp time. -

NE will expend a disproportionate amount of resources on their OL during this offseason. -
To add to this Wade's defense was not stacked with talent and last night was one of the lesser NE defenses talent-wise. Both sides leaned heavily on their respective coordinators and their abilities.
-
For me it was a defensive struggle that could have changed during any point in the game. I enjoyed it being a close game devoid of gaudy offensive production by only one side. I liked the chess game between Bill B and Wade. I don't like the Pats in the SB but this was a pretty good one. I did not bother with the half time. The few seconds I saw before heading into the den just looked like a commercial within a commercial aimed at teens 13-15.

Who's more overrated...goff or mcvay
RochesterRob replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You have to have many more counter plans than what you mentioned. I could see adjustments in the NE plan for both offense and defense well into the 4th quarter. As much as I hate Bill B he simply outworked McVay. As far as the "if Mahomes were there" talk that is simply ridiculous. Mahomes and the Chiefs had their chance on their home turf and blew it. If Mahomes were helming the Rams the outcome would have not changed. Some here are so invested in Mahomes that it scares me. Do they have a Mahomes bedspread and lunchbox? -

Bill B's master plan was the size of a Manhattan phonebook while McVay's was the phonebook for Orleans County excluding Albion, Medina, and Holley. -

At least there is a sense of continuity there.

I have a funny one. My "superior" had me brought into the office with the intent of having me fired. The meeting was me, my "superior", and the owner's wife. My "superior" tried laying out the case for getting rid of me which was effectively counter argued by me. Every time I countered the wife just smirked at first and was openly laughing at anything the "superior" said by the end of the meeting. The guy was very red faced and stormed out when the meeting was declared over. Not a firing but I had a boss once say that he wished that I was not so good at my job because he otherwise could not stand me. One time we had a Gomer Pyle, USMC moment where I was standing literally nose to nose ready to verbally fight him. The only thing was I assumed the Sgt Carter position and he took the dumbfounded Gomer look so he slinked away after a few minutes. The only time I was fired was actually an out for the employer on a contract I signed. Four other employees in similar positions were let go on that day as the regional office was sinking. Something told me that the boss was not to be trusted when I signed on but I had enough of my previous job. Kind of pissed me off that he premised my exit by saying we had a meeting. Last I knew he was looking for work as the operation was taken over by another company and totally reorganized.

I don't think they wanted her in 2016. The Democrats are stuck with her and her ego will not letter her go quietly into the night. -
Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread

My feeling is that it is 2020 or never for Hillary. Next year will mark 20 years since the Clinton's were in the White House. There is a larger segment of younger Democrats that feel no connection to that era and it is growing. Hillary knows that identity politics is the theme until the grass greens up in NY as far as the media is concerned. It has to be killing her to stay away from the limelight but it most likely has been the advice coming from her support team. -
That's a lot to unload on the first date. In any event it is not a deal breaker (maybe aside from pegging) for future dates if someone is willing to put all their cards (or as many as they have a right to expect) on the table at the first date. As to the "pegging" I would think telling someone that is a priority would kill most normal relationships. You are at the point of joining a "club" if you are really into that.

I get where you are coming from and I have made that call before. Freshman year in college I was interested in a woman that was in the same curriculum as me but a year older. I could not take the next step and ask her out because she had a lot of uncertainty swirling around her and my call was that she lacked self discipline. I don't think I could have done one thing to fix that. Her friend was just the opposite who seemed to be in excellent control of her life, knew what she wanted, and was very good looking as well. The friend already had a steady boyfriend and she was not coming off of him so she was not an option. If I was no longer with my wife I would probably be seeking the friend out. I drove past her home while going by on business a few years ago and it was pretty easy to not stop by and felt it probably would have been disrespectful to my wife to do so. Would have been nice to stop just to talk but I did not want to launch the thousand ships of "what if" on this woman. Sorry to prattle on but life has made more aware of what might be going on with someone else versus being college age. I've been doing a lot of reflecting the last day.
-
I would have gone out a second time. Bad things happen to good people. Not saying that fibbing on her employment was a good thing but would have you gone through with the date if she had not fibbed? In the last day I found out an old college connection committed suicide. HIs life had been in a downward spiral for some time. The family business crapped the bed through no fault of his own. Just changing times. Sometimes it takes all the strength in the world just to make it through a day and maybe this is where this woman is at.
