What do you want to see this offseason: DRAFT
RochesterRob replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Getting a 10 year player who will be top 5 at his position most of those years is better than swinging for the fences on a high ceiling guy. -
Bills sign C Spencer Long to 3 year deal
RochesterRob replied to One Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At worst a depth signing for the interior OL and will be competition for starting at guard. Nobody else out there at the moment for the Bills to go after and its not a given the coveted centers will be out there to sign. -
Moon cheese...(Homer Simpson drool).

What is your favorite breakfast cereal
RochesterRob replied to mead107's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Corn Flakes, Wheat or Rice Chex. I seldom eat cereal as I tend to throw on a few spoonfuls of sugar per bowl. Eggs and toast for breakfast with no jam or margarine. -
Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread

Saying that she had a threesome with Tupac and Snoop would have pegged the outrageous meter more. -
Let's see who is from a warm weather climate. Caesar. Alexander. Mussolini. Pol Pot. Warlike tendencies are fairly evenly distributed across the globe. If anything in more recent times Northern cultures spent quite a bit of time inside mating because it was too damn cold to be outside.

Not to excuse what has happened with various churches but I see sexual misconduct happening at a much higher frequency in the public school system. Attendance has dropped like a rock among young people in the Catholic Church starting in the 1970's and it has nothing to do with sexual conduct and everything to do with cultural shifts. If you are a sexual predator you are going to go where the most potential victims are and that is not a RC Mass from what I have seen. A lot of it is to do with today's parents having grown up during the 1970's or later when it was not "cool" to go to church so subsequently those parents do not force their young to go. While not a great show That 70's Show did a great episode about going to church and young people's attitudes towards attending church. Church simply stopped being a social center for a community plus there were other venues open to young people to socialize so they could bypass church. The show's co-creator Mark Brazill is from WNY by the way to make it in keeping with a Bills related board.

And yet the Moosewood survives. No longer revered by those who used to enjoy the vegetarian menu there. I went there once because a date wanted to. I thought she might be the future MRS at the time dietary preference aside. Anyways, the Moosewood was a pretty big deal in Ithaca during the 1970's and the 1980's.

Louie's Lunch Truck used to work the Thurston-Wait area when I was there. That changed owners once or twice to my understanding since my departure. I blame it on students being too health conscious in the last 15 years. I guess maybe a lettuce- broccoli - carrot truck?

MLB ran off Marge Schott of the Reds for milder insensitivities.

If Not Violence, What’s Your Plan?

This is kind of how I read it, too. Further, Germany would have been in a smaller mess if they were not counting on the spoils of war to pay the debt on just the cost of Germany buying materials and paying men for the war never mind reparations once the war was lost. -

I agree with a fair amount of what you are saying. Having met her father-in-law I would say she is of no priority to that family. No mincing words that man is a turd. Unfortunately, that is a tough lesson to learn at the school of hard knocks. You are absolutely right in that most decisions are designed to benefit given individuals. Anyways, this was the sort of contribution was looking for even if it did not provide the necessary answer. Thank you. -

This was the point I was trying to get through and should have stated that hyperinflation coupled with reparations had an effect that lasted through the 1920's. So I will have to give Tibs credit but the main point remains that democracy was very unlikely to take hold during the 1930's. I'm saying that the internet makes their job far far easier. That they can be more active without reprisal versus 100 years ago when they had to meet in a barn during the darkness of night quite often. -

You are talking through your ass. The Depression made things hopeless but hyperinflation in Germany all throughout the 1920's made it very unlikely that a democracy would take hold during the 1930's. Probably the best that could have been hoped for was some kind of socialist government that pervaded Europe after WWII. Hitler rose once the Depression took hold and stoked all the ego's with talk of nationalism. The population was prone to a charismatic leader even if he was demented and twisted. If the German population would have been willing to let go of losing the First World War then Hitler would have vanished like a fart in the wind. -

Way to take things out of context. I've never cited Soros religious beliefs once here. I've never referenced his heritage other than saying he was born in Hungary. -

Germany had more than just issues with communism when it lost WWI. My grandmother was there in the East as a young woman. She knew the government approved by the Allies would not last and that all the choices were bad in terms of alternatives. The communists ran in gangs in cities such as Berlin and it was either join them or be killed. Things polarized rather quick like with being forced to choose between a monarchy, communism, and shortly afterward Nazism. She got out in the early 1920's and came to the US. A lot of my father's family anticipated extremism coming to power one way or another in post WWi Germany so they also left. -

We were not feeding communists for free and not paying for tuition so they could listen to communist university types 100 years ago. Also, 100 years ago it was very difficult for communists to network and hence coordinate efforts. Today we have the internet where a discouraging word said about communism is labeled hate speech. The internet is there also for pliable minds that will accept ideas without attempting to see if they are in fact logical. You spout that nonsense as though somebody will take you seriously. -

What's there to read? It's about pandering to environmentalists which is a core constituency of left of center Democrats. -

Check out the Senate signee's. It's like a Batman Rogue's Gallery of 2020 Democratic POTUS hopefuls. It may not go any place but they are sure banking on it bringing in votes. Rich Democratic donors be damned. At least the ones not named Soros. -

I think that you want the guy over on PPP who is talking about his wife making big tips tending bar. My wife has not talked about her money makers in a long time so I am thinking that is off limits to talk about now never mind pics. -

Actually, she looks at me as more of a brother in that I am a part of that family rather than an outsider. Sorry that the inlaw description can be a little wide. If it helps then we will say her husband's family. But if we need to reach for cheap jokes............................................................................................ -

No, he was never important in the community and neither was his family. Some arrangements were made with respect to money that my SIL was never informed about until it got to be an issue. BIL was supposed to be putting part of his paycheck into savings. He was never doing anything of the sort but my SIL at that point respected his position as man of the house so she did not ask to see any bank statements. Month comes where the furnace needs work and a vehicle needs a transmission. SIL says to her hubby good thing we have money set aside for that when he counters he had been giving that money to people in his family to buy non-necessities with. Not one of the largest issues in the scheme of things but was a signal the train was jumping the tracks marriage-wise. In my mind there are some pretty unique twists to this and have reason to believe that some of the parties may frequent this site. If this was happening in another state I would dish out all the details.
