Apples and oranges. Guzman is not stepping on the toes of big time politicians, celebrities, and foreign VIP's. Further, I would bet that Trump's reach scares Guzman and the Mexican govt. It would not surprise me if Guzman has gotten the message from the Mexican govt that he is on his own if he does bust out. That they will not hide him. Guzman's misfortune is that he is not that vital to Mexico relative to a working relationship with Trump. If Mexico was going to tell us to puck off they would have done it over immigration.

Glad it worked out. Bikers are like any other group. There are a fair amount of good ones but there certainly some bad apples as well. I have dealt with both. One of the best dates I had while in college was with a biker chick and I don't say that for the more obvious reasons.

You do (clip the highest priority witness) if the network of corruption is far and wide. You do if you have it figured out who will take the fall. You do if you are willing to clip the fall guys to stop the probe dead in its tracks. You keep clipping away until the investigation has no witnesses therefore it stalls out for good. Epstein is just the beginning and it would not surprise me if several more are sacrificed. If I were anybody in that chain of command I would be very afraid for my life and perhaps the lives of my loved ones. If this network of child abusers is as wide as some have suggested the collective net worth of these people are probably into the hundreds of billions. That is a scary amount of power to go against. And if people are willing to wield power to the point of snuffing out high profile witnesses among other persons be very afraid of what tomorrow may bring. Your inconveniencing of somebody of power could very well cost your life.

For enough money people will disobey protocol and this most likely happened. My money is on the Clinton's but it could be any number of principles or organizations including foreign governments. I fear that any investigation will lead to dead ends. The trail will be raked over. Whether some low level person at the prison facility will be left twisting in the wind or not is a consideration. Whether this person is paid to take the fall or not may never be known. You say this in the context of Hillary being above this sort of foul play.

With the pecking order becoming clearer it would not surprise me to see some dirty tricks performed for the benefit of Kamala. -

A free press as in a press that will report on anything? Already gone due to the Clinton's and other powerful Dems and Dem supporters. If Trump was the super mensch Nazi lefties made him out to be the MSM would already be gone. -

I've underestimated nothing. There are many obstacles to running a successful farm and marketing is just one of perhaps a dozen. Also, you don't plan on your soybean crop going to China as though you have direct control in this. There are other outlets for your soybeans depending on who your local broker/elevator deals with. A fair amount of WNY crop goes to places such as Vietnam. Lastly, quite a bit of WNY soybeans are being trucked into Canada with the intent of going to China. The same thing happened with wheat and the Soviet Union back in the 1980's. Wheat was trucked into Canada then in turn loaded onto ships going to the Soviet Union. The Soviets did not ask any questions as to origin and most likely knew Canada did not grow that kind of volume with the same being true with China. China will no doubt make a spectacle of buying none US soybeans but will not ask any questions as to true Canadian production.

When logic fails refer to the opposition as cultists is what you do. Sadly, the people you champion would use you like a condom and accordingly throw you away if they came to power. The notion that you will rise up and be powerful in a socialist state is utter fantasy for you. You don't want to live long enough to find out what it is like to transition from useful idiot to useless idiot. If you were younger you might wind up in a re-education camp but even there it would be determined that your intellect is too limited to bend into something useful. I don't think that you would make the grade as menial labor in the old Soviet block and if you were lucky they would choose not to feed you versus an extended "holiday" in the East (Siberia).

But somebody has to pray for your salvation. Why would anyone else be on their knees I can't answer. I surely know that in my case it is to offer prayer and nothing else. Leave your own sexual desires to your own bedroom and don't involve me. Please.

Why do you hate your brain so much that you refuse to use it? As far as who is paying for anything that certainly does not include you. I'm sure that your pay at the laundromat and cubicle farm is such that in the end you owe no tax. Most minimum wage jobs are that way. At least you are working. Kudos, I think?

Far from out of business. The best areas of the world are already being used for agriculture with existing outlets for product. What remains is problematic due to politics or climate (or in the case of the Ukraine both). Droughts, untimely frost, and disease will still plague agriculture meaning that China from time to time will have to turn to somewhat more stable suppliers such as the US. Further, much research is happening for uses of soybeans other than feeding to livestock such as extracting its oils for industrial and personal uses. These uses now include the development of plastics for structural material. Far better markets in the long term than a fickle trade partner.

Since China and the US are competing military powers a rework of their food supply line was going to happen at some point. I think that you fail to understand how the human mind works. Some behavior of human beings is timeless whether in a positive or negative sense.

Shrinking markets have always been a risk of farming. Any devastation to come out of a China close out would be pale compared to what happened after WWI. US exports of wheat reached unimaginable heights due to WWI with major producers such as the low countries and France laying in ruin. US farmers bought lots of land at historically high prices and often used credit to do it. By 1920-21 European agriculture was pretty much back on its own feet so the need for US imports was no longer there. This had a devastating effect on US farmers and agribusinesses. Wheat prices dropped pushing many farmers into bankruptcy and forced many layoffs of employees who worked for large agribusinesses. These layoffs were far from inconsequential as companies such as International Harvester were major cogs in the US economy with IH being a component of the DJIA back then. As I said before there are past examples of the President using agriculture as a foreign policy tool with the side effects being far more harmful. If Woodrow Wilson was truly visionary he would have advised Americans to temper their efforts in ramping up US wheat production.

The difference is you are looking at it from the short term while I am looking at it from the long term which does not include the 2020 election. China can not be counted upon for endless quarters of growth for US businesses. Everybody wants to emulate the US of the post WWII era where they can be a huge net exporter of product and net importer of currency. Trouble is as it applies to US-China trade only one party can prevail in terms of those goals to the current extremes.

Farmers were employing strategies that would lead and will lead to corrections in land values among other things. This happened long before Trump and will happen long after Trump is no longer POTUS. Further, other Presidents have used US agriculture as a foreign policy tool such as Carter with the Soviet grain embargo back in 1980. Some such as Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon used the "carrot" approach to guide foreign policy such as subsidizing grain sales which put inflationary pressure on agriculture which can be harmful.
