I don't keep current with what is taking place in law enforcement but I thought that a lot of agencies were moving towards being able to do exams at a police station albeit with a doctor or RN that is called in to administer the test. The idea was this would increase privacy and provide a more solid chain of evidence to protect the victim. Agreed that any test will not prove that the encounter was non-consensual or otherwise but will at least back the victim up that something took place versus being a figment of the imagination.

It will only be negative if there are clear cut facts to be put out in the open. This will stay at "he said, she said" as it is improbable any real evidence is sitting at the ready to be used. Did this woman go to a police station and let them go through the routine as far as examination of a raped woman goes? Probably not.

The automotive industry has had more downs than ups over its history and seldom has there been a tie to who was sitting in the White House. The business model has been terrible as of late with leasing intended to reach those who would have never been in a position to acquire a new vehicle even if on a temporary basis. Now the auto builders are seeing a build up of lease returns that need to be sold so that puts pressure on new vehicle sales.

My viewing the NFL is down to the Bills and perhaps a Sunday Night matchup. No pregame. No post game. No ESPN. No NFLN (that was a provider package choice more so than the channel itself). No talking heads ***** to big media markets. No contemporary comedians or "singers" ***** to big media markets. I actually due to a problem receiving FOX Sunday afternoon watched Gilligan's Island after the Bills game. Gilligan was no great joy back in the day but it was interesting to revisit Cold War era comedy.

Your story? Yes, you are employing wishful thinking. Actually, it sounds like the kind of story they read you at bedtime at the cubicle farm. You know kind of like Goldilocks or Little Red Ridinghood. Do you all sit in a circle in your jammies while Soros reads sitting in his chair?

In my case none of the employees were temps or hired on that basis. Also, I want to make sure that you understand that contract hire in this case does not mean being a contractor in the sense of being an independent salesperson. Specifically, I was hired to receive and warehouse whole goods then arrange their transfer to dealers and distributors. My job was on the employer location with infrequent duty as far as setups for trade shows and demo events. All the contract hires at my branch were for 5 years. I was gone slightly after 2 years. My former boss called me to let me know he was not in the know the same day I was cut loose. I was making 17 dollars per hour plus incentives and had 5 weeks vacation per year built up by then plus paid 2 week holiday shut down for Christmas and New Year's. The new person came in for 11.50 per hour and none of the extra's. That location was closed 2 years after I was let go. I understand the need for scrutiny when a person has a series of short stints on their resume but at the same time most people are paycheck to paycheck. Sometimes you have to eat crap to pay the bills and I did that with another employer.

Clinton Political Dynasty
RochesterRob replied to TakeYouToTasker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That invites questions. Warren is poisoned and then the coroner is gotten to by the Clinton's so the official verdict is "previously undiagnosed heart ailment." Also, her wishes were for immediate cremation and burial off of Cape Cod into the "soothing" waters. -
I take it the 6 month interval is for reasons other than being contract hires? The last job I worked at before I became self-employed I learned the hard way all the out clauses that my employer held that worked in their favor. I got let go not because of my performance or personal issues but the company was fully restructuring and decided to trim the work force. My counterparts at two other offices in North America got let go on the same day so that took some of the sting out. The bottom line was that it was hard to put down on any applications the reasons for the early dismissal when the former employer will not provide any verification other than dates worked.

Clinton Political Dynasty

Politicians can be a gullible lot. Could be that Warren and her team think that they can manage Hillary and reap the benefits of a Clinton association. I still think that any "help" that Hillary provides comes with a price. At the least it is "settling" for a soon to be party leader that in turn could jump start Chelsea's political career. -

Back door to the White House? I would not trust the Clinton's in terms of sabotage of Warren to in turn have a VP Hillary take over. -
Global warming err Climate change HOAX

Poor data criteria. We've only had satellite coverage of hurricane activity for slightly more than 50 years. Heating and cooling can be attributed to solar and volcanic activity. The famous year without a summer 1816 was the result of volcanic activity. I want to see data over centuries to draw conclusions. -
Rich Gannon: not a great color guy

If the Bills are 2-1 or 3-0 heading into our game with NE that should be the primary game for CBS hence Romo. -
Mosley injury, Dabol play calling or both?
RochesterRob replied to BuffaloMatt's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I chalked up the first half to not having run as a unit together in regular season game speed previously. Mosely was very good but the flukey turnovers were lack of experience with their teammates up to now. I expect a smoother 1st quarter for the offense in the Giants game. -
Antonio Brown RELEASED, signed by PATS
RochesterRob replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Patriots would cut through the loss of a first round pick the way John Rambo's knife would cut through wet cardboard. I'm thinking that the NFL will find nothing wrong here but if they did the penalty needs to be more than the loss of one high pick. -
It's all about ratings and the NYC/NJ market has way more customers than WNY. Like everyone else has said ignore those guys and the other big market jock sniffers and you will be happy.

Most likely but the longer this goes on the greater the risk of a fan revolt that leaves permanent damage to the league. How many fans of rival AFCE teams are going to keep buying tickets if they feel the fix is in against them? -

My fear as well. Goodell is polishing up his Commish speak as we are sitting here. "I have every reason to believe that the AB signing by NE did not violate ..................." -

So much for the worry that the Pats were going to poach Duke Williams away from us. -

It would be interesting to see if the Pats have to juggle the payroll to the point where they call Bodine to come back for the vet minimum due to the drastic moves needed. -

Sometimes a person's ego is so immense there is no appealing to a guy like AB to come to Buffalo. He's heard Buffalo getting crapped on by the media and has no interest to see if the bad press holds up to scrutiny. -

It's called money under the table or specifically in this case money in the Cayman's.
