Why are you acting like Poyer is some scrub safety? Yes he is 32 but only signed for 2 years. He had a injury riddled season last year and still played really good. I mean flame away at Tremaine leaving and signing Harty, but stop with the Poyer hating.

Don't feel that way at all, it's time to shake things up on this team. The team the way it was constructed didn't get the job done, players underperformed as well as coaches. Changes are needed and hopefully will be made.

I'm still wondering why we never try press coverage and always defer to just playing back. Isn't it possible that on passing plays maybe being up on receivers would possibly give the d line that extra time to get home? Also when Burrow dropped back to pass the ball was right out, even Von Miller at 100% wasn't getting there in time. So how come he refuses to even try any sort of tighter coverage on receivers?

Year after year it seems we hear...if the defense only had this player or that player. Its not all on the players, playoffs are 1 game and if you don't win you go home, and evey year Frazier gets outschemed and has no counter punch during the game. If chiefs game last year didn't prove that fact, this Bengals game sure did. He trusts his soft defense so much he refuses to even try anything else. After the Bengals went up 14, anyone could see that defense wasn't going to work against that team and what answers did Leslie have. To do the same exact thing the whole game hoping there offense makes a mistake. The Bengals smelled fear as soon as we showed we were willing to back off 9 yards on there receivers. How many more years is Beane going to believe it's the players fault on defense instead of actually telling his two Defensive minded coaches who lead this team, it's not good enough. The NFL evolves every year but this team most certainly on the defensive side of the ball doesn't.

I understand what you're saying but my point is he gave to much chusion on that play, the point is to make Burrow throw quick and chase catches the ball and trey should be there right when he catches it. Like a bang bang type of play. Chase caught the ball and was able to start running before Trey went for the tackle. And like you said once he caught it and was able to run it was over. Yes they eventually got a field goal on that drive which is what we wanted, but Frasier plays that defense all game. It's no surprise the Bengals were able to get 30 first downs on us. Yes it's on the players and coaches but that gameplan against that team wasn't going to work. They scored 27 but if they had to I'm pretty sure they could of scored more.

Would you like him to be like people on this board and say we won 13 games but we suck? He understands they have issues and now he has to work on fixing them. He can't just go up there and say heads are gonna roll, it's not how he operates. Now it's a wait and see on what he does. Not what you want to hear but it's just how it is.

Again with a zero blitz called you do give cushion to the receivers but it's depending on the yards to gain, 3rd and 4 means you give about 6 yards of cushion max, not 8 or 9 yards. The goal is to force a quick throw and then make a tackle short of the line to gain. Frasier literally tells these guys to drop back more yards then needed because he is scared. Plain and simple...white missed the tackle but even if he makes it chase was already at line to gain. So blame the players all you want, but his way of coaching this defense will never win in the playoffs against a great offense.

Again you can say this guy won't leave and this guy says he isn't leaving but like I said no guarantees in the NFL. You may not think Boyd will get a huge contract but overpaying in free agency is a religion in this league. If a team likes him enough the money will flow especially for a receiver.

That's life in the NFL players talk about keeping the core together untill one of them is offered less then what they think they deserve, then that whole I don't want to leave this place talk dies down real quick. I'm not saying the Bengals won't be able to resign all those guys but you can't ever bank on it happening.
