Are you talking about today? Like against MIA? Because Cole was 5/6 and the one drop wasn't a give me - AND - was in the pouring rain. I mean if we're going to talk about drops and stuff - Diggs dropped two passes that were just as catch-able as the one Cole dropped, AND on the one play where he stutter stepped the rookie for separation up the sideline - if he doesn't attempt to juke the safety and just runs down the sideline - it goes for a TD

Was about to say this was actually my favorite touch pass - due to location, timing, and player selection. Having a TE that teams have to focus on will only open the passing game up more. Even if his routes are just distractions, he's now firmly a weapon - especially if we're going to run exotic plays (by our standards) like TE screens, or direct snap TE end arounds (see the game last year where we did it). The Diggs pass on the other hand - while a touch pass - gave me two different thoughts..... 1) Is... Is that what it's like to see a simple cross pattern connect and go for some more yards? I've seen other teams do it, but never though it would happen in B-Lo 2) Good Lord.... Diggs got so much separation - which was something noticeable all game.

Youse ready for part deuce?

So lets get this out of the way Jimmy - i'm going to make fun of you regardless of any outcome for trying to troll typing as north east jersey jets fans talk. But I want to agree with you on something - this game was mainly on your HC, and organization on a whole. I will disagree that your team had any shot of winning - even if they had a coach that was semi-competent. I think the talent gap is simply too high. The leas was 21-0 and should have been far worse. Also you mention the second half but you should probably note that the Bills 1) took the foot off the gas and 2) your TDs were results of a poor missed tackle and garbage time. While I think the Jets are a rebuilding team (no O-line, not enough weapons on O, and middling at best cb/safety situation), I think they are far more talented than the showing on Sunday. I do not think, Talent wise - they are the worst team in the league... however the coaching has - for the moment put them there. In terms of just our own division, I can not see the Jets beating the Pats, I actually think the Jets vs Dolphins game will be a great way to see where both teams are. -

The two Knox catches were great - was one of my favorite things about the game. Good plays to be called, and it's proof that Knox could be a meaningful TE weapon. No one will ever be Gronk again (I don't think) but if he was comparable to Shockey - i'd be more than thrilled. -

So I'd like to elaborate on this: 1) yes it's a law 2) It's almost exclusively related to selling products in mass / at retail stores 3) If your sales are really high in volume - you continue until you get a CND (You'd have to be making some serious bank) 4) If you get an CND - apply for sellers license allowing you rights to NFL content 5) The information above comes basically directly from the NFL merchandising contract and legal team - I use this as an example in class where I teach product design/manufacturing and how to legally obtain profits from copyrighted content.

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Off and Passing
Rk_Bills86 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just a couple of things I'd like to add having watching a portion of the game: 1) Diggs is basically a better J Brown - and Brown in no bum 2) Allen showed some throws today that imo are examples of continued growth 3) The D is legit 4) The jets Run D (against RBs) is top 5 - so I'm not worried about a week 1 struggle again said unit 5) I do wish Allen would be a bit more careful with the ball - 1 true forced fumble and 1 butterfingers one 6) I mentioned it in another post - but if Allen throws for even 62% completion I think we win most games. 70% completion imo is basically always a win except for maybe against KC/NO/SEA 7) It was week 1 and we showed a TON of different plays that we did not use last year Lastly, it looked like the Jets couldn't protect against everyone, and if they somehow did, Allen was able to run for it. Also the O-Line seems to be in a better spot than last year. And Allen's pocket awareness seems to be better. -
I'll be the first to say I don't like Joe Namath - and by extension I don't like the majority of Jets fans that hang on their Superbowl victory as though it makes them some sort of dynasty. However, considering the time in which he played, the respect he had from players, and his stats during his era, he is basically about right for a HoF entry from that time period. Couple of quick notes: Still the Jets all time leading passer - career and single season (14 game seasons) Only Jet QB to ever throw for 4000 yds (67' think about how long ago that was) He did win a ring

I have to tell you, the hardest thing about living in NJ is the daily reminder that for most Jets fans, this post is exactly what they sound like... before getting drunk. At least Giants fans don't have an issue with admitting that their team is either bad, doing poorly, or under-performing (sober or drunk). @Jimmy Spagnola - your mother and grandmother makes terrible pasta sauce and your family is a regular at Olive Garden. -
Horrible Harry...the forgotten man?
Rk_Bills86 replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Harry was having a really good start to the season prior to his injury - honestly we have an embarrassment of riches on the D-Line for what we play - which is not always your typical 4-3. If you check our Cover-1 and some of the other youtube guys that do break downs - they compare stuff we do to other teams and I find it fascinating how often we swap parts or run weird/exotic looks. We're like a cross between the Seahawks and the Steelers It should be mentioned that our biggest success and the reason we are so good, outside of the secondary being solid is actually our LB duo that constantly work in Blitz fakes/shows and trade offs. If i remember correctly - it was actually part of the reason we were able to somewhat keep the Ravens in check. Take away 1 mistake on the TE TD pass, and we might have actually won that game. (I think Poyer jumped to cover a route when he was supposed to go with the TE) -
I find this hilarious - because the O last year was leaps and bounds better than Allen's first year. Dude is a project QB - who has shown excellent growth. The question is - does it continue. I hate the mass of people that want instant championships and instant hall of fame QB play. Not to mention there are far more variables at work here - O-line was in it's first year together, RB was interesting and clearly needed time to learn, WR first years in our system, etc... All of these posts would really only be relevant AFTER this coming season. It's year 3, same OC, lots of returning members on O, good continuity, with a Mid to High Tier WR1 and a Mid to Low Tier WR 1 as our WR 2, our Slot WR is solid, Rookie TE got to learn on the fly and gets to show improvement (or maybe not - tbd), RB 2 is no longer the ageless plow that gains negative yards more often than positive after game 4 of the season (actual value unknown at this point - but I imagine can't be worse).

The Adam's trade is no where near the same situation and shouldn't be considered something you can put in the same context. On one hand you have Tre who is one of the best CBs in the league, playing in a system he is amazing in. Currently under a rookie contract - with our salary being managed by someone that can look more than 1 year into the future. We have a coach that the players love, a new but growing winning culture. Tre likes his coaches, the system, and his teammates. Yes he is looking to get paid, but isn't making that the forefront of his conversations. On the other hand you have Adam's who is an excellent safety, one of the better ones in the league, but it's unclear on if he is as good as everyone makes him out to be. Not to mention the belief that his value lays in being a "box" safety. He was on a losing team, that has a coach that many players are not on board with, with a front office that continues to show incompetency similar to what we were used to. He was disgruntled, and verbal about it. If he was a player in a smaller market, I doubt he'd be valued as highly. I'm clearly in the group that thinks he was over valued in the trade, and he is probably not worth a record breaking contract. The point i'm trying to make is, he's good - but he's no Minkah Fitzpatrick - who I think is not only better currently, but will actually continue to improve. The only wrench to the whole thing regarding paying Tre is the idea that the cap might be much lower next year (Due to Covid-19). However, I imagine a lot of teams will look at the Mahomes deal, and use large extension deals with money loaded to appropriate years to help offset any issues.

So I initially hated this pick - felt that we could have gotten more competition somewhere - filled more backup roles, more depth. I will be honest and say I did not watch the kid kick, because .... well he's a kicker. I just watched a few - my goodness does he have power. If he can improve his accuracy behind the 50 yd line it'll be worth the selection.

I like him - but not in round 2. I think the round 3-5 projection for him is accurate and if you told me we traded into another 3rd/4th to get him - i'd be ok with it. -
