  1. Really interesting trade. Bouye struggled a lot this year and wasn't anything special the year before either. Denver banking on him bouncing back obviously.
  2. I'm hoping we ultimately go big fish hunting here, but I think that ultimately will require a trade. If that's unpalatable to Beane, I think there will still be potential upgrades on the market (probably short-term upgrades), but you could make a decent case he might end up being our best option.
  3. Very interesting. I like Higgins quite a bit and think he's been critiqued more harshly than other WR prospects for some reason. I would be pretty happy to have him at #22; probably not my #1, maybe not even among my top 3 realistic options, but he's close. Something like Higgins in the 1st (or possibly trade-up in the 2nd) and someone that's a little more explosive after the catch like Duverney, Hightower, or Edwards on Day 3 would be a pretty nice haul for us IMO.
  4. Not a rumor, but the more I've thought about it, the more I think we might see Beane pursue Paul Richardson as a free agent. There were rumors we were one of the teams most interested in him back when he ultimately signed with Washington and he would make a lot of sense for us still today.
  5. The talk going around right now is that he's locked himself in as a 2nd rounder. You never really know though; there's so many good WRs in this class that it widens these guys' potential draft range a lot. Teams can like Mims a lot and still have 10-15 WRs ahead of him in this class.
  6. I don't see him getting over $10 million a year. I think somewhere in the $8-9 mil range gets it done. Whether that's with Buffalo or somewhere else, we'll see. Even with all the guys getting tagged, there's still a lot of pass rush options on the free agent market, not to mention guys potentially available for trades. I also don't think the Instagram post really tells us anything; just means free agency begins in two weeks and we've known for awhile now that Beane was fine with him testing the market.
  7. It's kind of weird how we have people insisting the Bills don't have enough cap space to bring in a free agent like Ngakoue and also have people arguing that we should not only bring in Ngakoue, but also roughly double the amount of money to do so by taking Foles too. A move like this would pretty much mean we're waiting on giving out the big extensions right? Would we need to wait one year before we could cut Foles or can the team that acquires him then immediately cut him and recognize cap savings? I can't remember exactly how it worked with the Osweiler deal.
  8. Interesting to say the least. I'm not super big on trading up for a WR in a class like this, but I know Beane can't help himself sometimes and I imagine the top 3 WRs are all very tempting to him. #14 ahead of Denver seems like the sweet spot if he doesn't care which of the 3 he gets (though there's a chance they're all taken at that point too). #10 ahead of the Jets, Raiders, Colts, and Broncos makes sense if Beane wants to go up and get a specific guy. Edit: To put in perspective what we're talking about in terms of price, Pittsburgh sent #20, #52, and a future 3rd to move up to #10 last year so it would cost something close to a 1, a 2, and a 3 for us. Maybe slightly more than that depending on how high we want to go.
  9. You're totally right. I glossed over the "business" part.
  10. No, it just means they're trying to convince him that he can be happy in Jacksonville on a long-term deal and that they won't be bad for long.
  11. The Music City Miracle wasn't particularly close to being an illegal forwards pass, and no, I don't care that Adam Schefter was there and disagrees. And I'm much happier with McDermott as a coach than I am with Beane as a GM (though I'm still mostly fine with Beane).
  12. Seems like Jameis might end up getting pretty much frozen out of the market at least as far as starting jobs go. Kinda crazy; I think he's the best option on the market after Brady (assuming Brees isn't actually available) in the short-term and he just turned 26 a couple months ago. Tampa won't find a better option anywhere else unless Love slides to 14, and even he would be a downgrade in the short-term which is likely what Arians cares about.
  13. This I do not agree with. Milano has been very good, arguably great, when healthy. But if I'm hypothetically picking between paying Milano $13 million per year or paying Ngakoue $20 million per year, I think it's a toss-up and might lean towards Ngakoue. As for Poyer & Hyde, they've both proven to be among the best safeties in the league. I don't think we will want to pay both of them; it's just too much to invest in the position. I think LB and safety are both in play at #22 for us but we shall see in April.
  14. I'd rather Clowney as well but I think Seattle will either keep him or do the same exact thing.
  15. White and Dawkins will be kept. I don't think Milano is a certainty and I would bet one of Poyer/Hyde is gone within a year or two. If the Bills want Ngakoue, there's no reason they can't figure out how to pay the price for it. Question is how badly Beane wants an elite-ish edge guy.
  16. I think Beane will probably heavily consider trading for Ngakoue. If he ultimately decides the price is too high, bringing Shaq back probably makes sense, though I would personally be looking to bring in more of a short-term solution like Adrian Clayborn instead.
  17. I think it's worth considering giving up a future 2nd round pick for him. Would fill arguably our biggest need and there aren't many options to do so out there. Edit: Something like a 2020 5th and 2021 2nd would be a realistic price to pay.
  18. Phillips would likely sign the tag immediately. AJ will not.
  19. Basically just that they have experience as starters (and have had at least some success). Unfortunately this is the situation that we're in. We only have 2 starting caliber WRs and I don't want to be pidgeon-holed into a position where we have to draft a WR that's ready to go from Day 1 rather than potentially a guy like Mims that has great potential but probably can't be counted on right away.
  20. It could be a smoke screen, but keeping him makes a lot of sense.
  21. If the reports are to be believed, he wants to be in Cinci and wants to iron out a long-term deal with them.
  22. He had reportedly been expecting about that much if not more per year for multiple years. Obviously still a decent deal for him but I'm sure he was hoping for one more long-ish term pay day. He still might get it too.
  23. They might not view themselves as rebuilding. They went 0-8 in one score games last year and Burrow is capable of stepping in and being good from Day 1. And obviously they want to put Burrow in a situation to succeed, so having AJ Green helps in that regard (assuming he stays healthy which obviously isn't a given).
