  1. Just FWIW, I probably won't be doing an entire big board but I'll happily discuss different position groups in the different threads that pop up. I generally just focus on a couple positions each year rather than trying to create an overall big board like Gunner does for example.
  2. I voted for Mims. I don't think he's worth a 1st round choice like a lot of people seem to think, but he definitely has a ton of potential and would also bring size to the WR group that we don't have right now. I don't feel very strongly in either direction about Cleveland or Greenard. Taylor is a good prospect, but if Mims is actually on the board at 54, I would go with him and just get the RB later on.
  3. I think we're better off counting on him as being a practice squad player and if he happens to become more than that, it's an added bonus. I certainly wouldn't be counting on him to be the 1b to Singletary's 1a or even counting on him to be a backup.
  4. I don't really agree with the bolded at all but I do think it's very likely we draft a RB. There are a lot of options in free agency still though. Anyone from the first two groups in particular would be a worthwhile addition IMO. If we went with someone like Freeman, Miller, or Hyde, we're probably fine with them, Singletary, and Yeldon. I think one of the 3rd down backs = still drafting a RB. But either way, plenty of options out there still and we should definitely be bringing one of them in IMO. "Traditional" RBs: Devonta Freeman Lamar Miller Carlos Hyde Isaiah Crowell Spencer Ware Alfred Blue LeSean McCoy (probably the weakest of these options not to mention the complications after having cut him already) 3rd Down Back: Chris Thompson Theo Riddick Bilal Powell Ty Montgomery Buck Allen CJ Prosise Devontae Booker Corey Clement Weaker Flyer Types: Ameer Abdullah Dwayne Washington DeAndre Washington Jonathan Williams Wendell Smallwood
  5. I would probably pass on drafting a QB this year. Someone like James Morgan or Nate Stanley might be worth considering at the end of the draft if they’re available but overall I don’t really like the developmental prospects this year.
  6. RB stands out as the only immediate need. Feels like we’ll probably address that before the draft like we’ve done with every other position.
  7. This would be a dream come true for me. Trading up for Bartch resulted in a gap between picks that Beane probably wouldn't be able to stomach, but it's hard to argue with any draft that sees Delpit and Claypool falling to us in Rounds 2 and 3 IMO and Bartch is a potentially very good tackle too. I do wish I could have gotten a RB before Anderson, but I like him and RB is probably the easiest position for us to address outside of the draft if we want to anyways.
  8. Nice. He was legitimately great the one year he played here. Obviously would love to have him get back to that level of play again.
  9. That seems like an extremely optimistic projection to me. Aside from PFF, I haven't personally seen anyone that's particularly high on him. I know Lance Zierlein, Todd McShay, and Matt Miller for example expect him to go undrafted. PFF has him as a 2nd round prospect though.
  10. I was going to mention in my first reply that I might lean towards Jennings in the 6th over Hodgins as well. Like Hodgins, he struggles big time to separate; he's an absolute load to tackle after the catch though which might give him a better chance at surviving in the NFL than Hodgins.
  11. You can see flashes of his potential on tape, but the optimist would say he's a late bloomer that didn't really start putting it all together until the offseason (Senior Bowl, Combine, etc.) The skeptic would say to trust the years of tape over the couple of reps you get of 1 on 1 coverage in the Senior Bowl where the DBs are at a massive disadvantage.
  12. Yeah, he seems like the kind of guy that in past years would have ended up in New England and just killed you underneath. Not sure if they go with a different approach now that Brady is gone but we'll see.
  13. I'd be interested in picking Hodgins up in like the 6th round or something like that. Hands/ball skills are obviously very good, but he didn't test very well and that shows up big time in his tape. He has a really hard time getting any separation. I'm not really convinced he can stick on an NFL roster. If we want a WR in the 4th-5th round I think the value is in getting another guy that's kinda similar to the guys we already have (which may or may not be a bad thing). Bryan Edwards would be a more unique fit for us and he might be available in that range. Beyond him though, I'd be looking at Devin Duverney, John Hightower, James Proche, and Kalija Lipscomb. Hightower is a deep threat while the other 3 are underneath guys (Duverney winning with speed and the other two just winning with precision). Edit: Adding this video of Hodgins. Even with his push-offs he isn't generating much separation, and look at the second play for an example of how hard of a time he can have. I'm just not really sure where he wins in the NFL; doesn't separate very well underneath, struggles to beat press coverage, and struggles to beat guys deep. Seems like the best way he might be able to contribute is purely backshoulder fade type passes? I don't know, not sure I see him as a potential upgrade over Duke and I'm not sure Duke is even good enough to make the team this year.
  14. The thing that'll be tough regarding transfers is that those guys are generally transferring because they want more playing time. We don't really have the ability to offer that; our starting lineup is pretty much set in stone for next year already and Boeheim doesn't play a deep bench so it's going to be near impossible to get any of the top tier transfers IMO.
  15. If O'Brien wanted to help New England, he would have sent Hopkins there instead of taking peanuts from Arizona to get him out of the AFC. And Watson might be the only person Houston's owners love more than O'Brien. They'd veto any Watson deal, especially one that sends him to New England.
  16. The Jets faithful will tell you Perriman is simply a better WR than Robby. I'm skeptical of that personally. If Perriman plays like he did the last couple games in Tampa and if Enunwa comes back fully healthy, it's not that bad of a receiving corps. Nothing scary about it by any means, but not terrible. There's a lot of downside there though and we'll see what they do in the draft. Everything the media has been hearing up until now has been that OT or CB is their preferred option in the first round but they're obviously positioned very well to get one of the top 3 WRs if they want to. Yes. Question is if he's any good after that injury.
  17. Honestly shocked the Jets let him get away. They were pretty competitive last season when Darnold was on the field but man, that roster looks so terrible right now.
  18. Yeah. You're more likely to pay money to watch football players play Call of Duty or FIFA than you are to watch them play Madden. The technology isn't even there right now. NASCAR works because the game they're using is incredibly realistic to the point that that game is literally how NASCAR drivers train.
  19. A friend of mine streams when he's not teaching...makes like an extra $1,000 a month just playing old Zelda games and stuff.
  20. After accounting for rookie salaries, they still have like $17-18 million in space.
  21. They have roughly $20 million in cap space still. They won't touch Cam though...that just doesn't make any sense.
  22. My question is if the ram horn on the helmet will have that weird gradient too. I’m guessing the answer is yes.
  23. I definitely would not trade up for a WR after getting Diggs. If Mims is there at 54, I’d be happy to take him there
  24. So basically Washington traded down in the 5th round to lose their best corner (and a legitimately good corner at that) for a backup QB. Nice?
  25. Akers' draft stock has probably been hurt by the level of talent or lackthereof around him. Florida State had one of the worst OLines in football and made life a living hell for him. He seems to check a lot of boxes though; good speed and agility, good pass blocker, pretty good production as a receiver though he drops passes at a somewhat alarming rate. He probably dances a bit too much behind the line of scrimmage, but you could also argue he was forced to by the guys blocking in front of him. I think there's some bad habits there that his team will want to break but he has pretty much everything you'd be looking for in a potentially very good RB. If people want to argue that he and Moss deserve to be mentioned with the top 4 RBs in this draft, you won't really get an argument from me personally.
