  1. https://www.recipetineats.com/greek-chicken-gyros-with-tzatziki/ Here you go!
  2. I don't think it's technically new but it's new to me: I found a recipe for some absolutely delicious Greek chicken on the internet that's become one of our go-tos. Great both cooking it in a pan as well as throwing it on the grill. It's technically a recipe for gyros but we just use the chicken part of it and make some lemony roasted potatoes to pair with it.
  3. Nobody is really offering more money than one another in this case due to the offset language in the contract. If the Bills offer $3 mil for example, that just means the Jets pay him $3 mil less. Unless someone is giving Bell more than his overpaid contract that the Jets had signed him too, the money won't matter here.
  4. Yeah, you never really know. I think KC would probably be best for him personally. Reid and Bieniemy do a great job of utilizing their RBs, especially in the passing game. Granted CEH is already very good in that aspect, but I think Bell's best chance of proving himself to be effective again would be in KC. Miami is his best bet if he simply wants playing time. Gaskins has been pretty good for them but they still don't seem all that committed to him. Kind of a crowded backfield though with Gaskins, Howard, and Breida, but there's a chance Bell proves himself to be the #1 guy there whereas I don't think that's all that likely with Buffalo and it's impossible with KC. Added bonus that Bell loves Miami as a city and I don't think the Dolphins are a laughing stock like the Jets for example. Buffalo offers somewhat of a balance between Miami and KC. Probably in the middle in terms of potential playing time for Bell, he could help fill the 3rd down role in the very least with potential for more carries than what KC would likely provide. One concern in my mind is that Bell's patient running style generally relies on getting very good run blocking; our OLine hasn't really provided that this year. I do think Geoff Schwartz (who certainly knows a lot more about OLines than I do) believes Buffalo's blocking schemes fit Bell better than the other two.
  5. Miami = where he lives and probably most potential playing time
  6. FWIW, Geoff Schwartz thinks Buffalo is the best fit from a scheme perspective. I would personally choose the Chiefs if I were him. Considering these things, I expect him to sign with Miami.
  7. The main issue in terms of pass rush is that teams are throwing the ball very quickly against us. The average pass against Buffalo is being thrown in 2.59 seconds. If you compare that to the 34 QBs that have thrown a significant number of passes this year, that's the 7th quickest in the league. The Bills also rank 3rd in the league in terms of pass rush win rate, which is the percentage of plays you have a guy beat their block in under 2.5 seconds. There's obviously a lot more context to it than that, but there isn't much the DLine can do if the pass is being thrown before they really have a chance to get pressure. It's pretty much been a failure at all 3 levels of the defense.
  8. Oliver was my #1 realistic target in the first round last year. DK was my #2. Needless to say I was upset we didn’t end up with both when it was doable. Having said that, I liked Ford as a prospect as well so I didn’t think he was a bad pick; just wasn’t the right pick.
  9. It already happened though. It's pretty much a 100% chance Gilmore had the virus when he played this past week. He just hadn't tested positive yet because that's how the virus works. The NFL doesn't care about sick players playing as long as they don't have evidence that they knew they were sick. Edit: Playing the game with a player that has it has happened. I assume you mean that it hasn't spread to others from that game yet, which we won't know for another week or so.
  10. Not really. It's certainly possible that's the case, but the virus takes up to around 14 days to incubate and that practice was 8 or 9 days ago so it's entirely possible people are still testing positive from exposure that occurred prior to that practice. Which also points to the fact that it's irresponsible that the Pats-Chiefs game for example was played this past week and will be irresponsible if the Titans play this week. There's a pretty high likelihood that if it's played, it will be played with players that have the virus spreading it to other players, much like was the case with Gilmore against the Chiefs.
  11. It's a good list for the most part, but I would simply point out it's unlikely that Allen wins OPOY if he doesn't win MVP. It's pretty rare for that to happen with QBs. In the past 10 years, QBs won OPOY 6 times. 5 of those 6 won MVP (with the one exception being Drew Brees in 2011 when Rodgers won MVP). I would guess the current candidates for OPOY would be: Russell Wilson - current front runner for MVP and therefore a good chance to win OPOY as well Dalvin Cook - currently on pace for roughly 1700 rushing yards and 24 rushing TDs (not to mention 12 two point conversions I believe) Dak Prescott - currently on pace for over 6,700 passing yards and 48 TDs (passing + rushing). Obviously behind Wilson and Allen TD wise but if he somehow eclipses 6,000 passing yards in a season I think he has a strong chance. Allen/Rodgers/Mahomes - basically the other main MVP candidates right now Obviously still extremely early to be looking at awards anyways but that's the way I would currently look at it.
  12. Kinda wild that the Patriots will basically be landing at the airport and immediately heading to the stadium for warmups tonight
  13. Looks correct to me but supposedly McVay was chewing the WR out after the play so maybe it was supposed to be an in route.
  14. Yeah they determined that Wallace’s INT was due to the WR stopping his route. Similar to Wilson who got picked on a dropped pass by his TE
  15. If we're solely talking about so far this year, I'd probably go: Russell Wilson Aaron Rodgers Patrick Mahomes Josh Allen Tom Brady Dak Prescott Lamar Jackson Jared Goff Derek Carr Not really sure, probably Watson, Kyler, or Minshew
  16. As many have pointed out, people underestimated how hard he'd work to improve his game. I also think he was simply hard to evaluate the last season at Wyoming. It was a common occurrence to see a team rush 3 or 4 people and have multiple people get through to him untouched. His WRs looked like they had feet for hands. That last season of his was about as unwatchable as it gets from a supporting cast perspective. I also think some teams just don't look at the QB position the right way. IMO, the key with drafting QBs is going for guys that you think have a chance of being truly great. The worst position to be in in the NFL in my opinion is to have to give a massive second contract to a QB that is average at best. But I think a lot of teams value stability over ability and that leads to teams valuing guys like Rosen over Allen. I also think one of the mistakes that was made with both Allen and Lamar is underrating how much a QB's running ability can lift up the rest of their game. For someone like Rosen that was a sitting duck in the pocket, the margin of error to becoming a great QB is just so small because if he doesn't turn into an elite passer, he has nothing else to fall back on. Guys like Allen and Lamar have much greater margins for error because their running ability will result in more passing windows to throw into (not to mention the ability to pick up yardage when no passing window exists). That also makes guys like Lamar and Allen playable early on, because they could survive while being a little slow in their reads or a little off on their passes while other QBs could not. And lastly, as I've said many times over the years, Allen is the exact kind of physical tools guy that you want to bet on because he exudes confidence and supreme work ethic. That's the kind of mental makeup you need to be able to make the most out of your raw tools. TLDR: Allen was more pro-ready than he was given credit for due to his athleticism. I think teams just don't value the QB position correctly when it comes to the draft and that is at the expense of someone like Allen. And lastly, his final season at Wyoming was pretty much unwatchable.
  17. Re: the timeframe of getting grades out Monday when All-22 footage comes out Tuesday, they might have early access, but they also adjust their grades throughout the week so it wouldn't surprise me if the grades we see on Monday are basically preliminary grades until they get the all-22 or something like that. Re: one of your other replies about potentially grading multiple players at once, I believe that is indeed what they do. I think they said they have three people working on each game: one does offensive skill positions, one does defensive skill positions, and one does the offensive/defensive lines. I think this was discussed in that Athletic article from a week or so ago.
  18. I admittedly like Love a lot as a prospect so I still think it was a fine move for them. The part that really killed them is that they essentially wasted every other pick in the draft so far. Took a legitimately bad RB prospect in the 2nd round when they already had good RBs in place, reached on a raw TE prospect, and didn't take anyone else of consequence.
  19. I wouldn't guarantee he's a head coach next year, but I think it's pretty likely. Even before this season started, I was looking at this as the last year of Daboll. Either he and Allen do well and he gets a HC gig or the team plateaus and we give another OC a try. Seems far more likely to be the former than the latter at this point. He already was getting interest from teams BEFORE Allen blew up. Between Allen's progress, the play-calling, and his connections to both Belichick and Saban, I think he'll be near the top of the list of coordinators that teams want to interview. Better to be a team that other teams want to hire from than being a team nobody wants a part of.
  20. Definitely similar to Preston, but since you no longer have to control the ball through hitting the ground, it's fine. He caught it and secured it.
  21. I can't remember if I said it here, but I've watched probably 5 or 6 full games of Kadary...one of his teammates is a projected top 10 NBA pick and Kadary was better than him. He has a chance to be really good.
  22. They are scored highly. People are misconstruing tight window throws with turnover worthy plays. If Allen threads the needle to his WR, that is graded more positively than pretty much any other throw. If Allen throws it into a tight window and the DB drops the pass, that is graded negatively. Technically it's only 9 QBs ahead of him in terms of passing grade, and no, because his turnover worthy plays have weighed his grade down. Jameis has been top 3 in positively graded throws every year of his career I believe and he's never had a good PFF grade overall. Allen's start to this season is a much less extreme version of that as Allen is still rated in the top 10.
  23. Basically what they're saying is that the turnover-worthy plays are generally few and far between (with some exceptions), so if you start off the season with like 4 TWPs like Allen has, that will weigh on his grade more right now than it will if he goes another 100 passes without throwing a TWP (which is feasible). This simply isn't true though. It happens every year where we see a QB like Mariota throw like 15 INTs on 10 INTable passes while someone else throws 10 INTs on 30 INTable passes. Regarding Darnold though, I went back and watched all of his passes this week and I don't really get it personally. I counted two or three passes that could have been picked off. His TD pass was great and he did lose about 100 yards on dropped passes and penalties but for the most part he was just checking it down all game and still throwing near INTs. They specifically talked about Brady's performance this past week in The Athletic article and that one is a much better case for their system; he legitimately played great and just got screwed by his receivers. Darnold was nothing special.
  24. Didn't see this article earlier but glad it was posted here. Ted Nguyen is one of my favorite football writers out there right now; great piece here. The breakdowns of Minshew and Dak were good too.
  25. I'm a bit confused by this post. This is supposed to be an argument against PFF's grading system? The one that is based on watching film and ignoring the stats? PFF tries to cover the full spectrum. Their grading is based on the film while they also track their own stats such as accuracy percentages, broken tackles, etc. but the grades that everyone mocks because they hate Allen is based on the film rather than his stats.
