  1. To be fair, they might have if Kyler Murray hadn't gotten hurt and they could take a leap like we did if Murray takes a leap.
  2. I'm not sure this actually means anything considering he had it narrowed down to Cleveland and Tampa according to his Peloton profile a few days ago but -shrugs-
  3. The Bears were quietly one of the most pass-heavy teams in the league last year, and that was with maybe the worst QB situation in the league.
  4. Yeah I can't imagine Buffalo touches that price-wise. Doesn't mean Watt will ultimately accept that much anyways; for all we know that's an offer from a crap team he isn't interested in.
  5. The biggest thing for me is he was one of, if not the most double teamed guy in the league this past year (at least as far as edge-ish rushers go) and he was still productive. To me, this means that as long as he stays healthy, he should: Free up Hughes, and to a larger extent, Oliver, to have more 1 on 1 matchups (particularly Oliver, who was very good when blocked by a single blocker but pedestrian against double teams) Improve our run defense Get pressure on the QB himself Continue deflecting passes at the line which could theoretically improve our tight end defense
  6. Yeah, probably true but I think they'd find a way to make it work if Snyder and Bezos actually want to play ball with each other. Bezos has always been the guy to watch if Snyder wants to sell the team, especially now considering that the new Amazon HQ is being built here. I would imagine a lot of the owners in the league would not be fans of Bezos joining the club though given both the egos involved money-wise and also the political leanings.
  7. Definitely smaller beans relatively speaking but is this any different from Michael Jordan owning the Charlotte Hornets while the Jordan Brand is plastered on every team’s jerseys?
  8. Probably better to just not tag him at all than transition. You don't get pick compensation if you let a transition tag guy walk AFAIK.
  9. To be fair, you could say the same about the other 31 teams too. Syracuse doesn’t turn out much NFL talent these days.
  10. It's going to be a high 4.4 if he does sneak in there. I would tend to think he's in the low 4.5's but I know Tony Pauline for example has him pegged as a 4.47.
  11. He's got a chance at sneaking into the 4.4's which is very good considering he's also 6'2"-6'3". He's a really good athlete like his brother was. Not sure he's worth a 1st round pick, but as a Cuse alum, it's nice to have multiple players with a good chance of being drafted this year. I don't think he's a Year 1 impact guy but I think he's a pretty good fit in our scheme. He flashes pretty much all of the skills that we look for in our corners and I think he could be converted to a safety if it doesn't work out at corner too. Kind of weird that Syracuse has three draftable DBs this year despite the team as a whole being horrendous. The defense was definitely betrayed by arguably the worst offense in the country, but the defense wasn't great either.
  12. The contract really isn't bad if you believe he's the guy that he was up until this past season, which the Colts obviously do. I'm sure the Colts are looking at it and saying they're getting a good QB at below-market rate. I agree a 1st and 3rd for Wentz is a pretty good return. At the same time, factoring in the cap penalties, Philly essentially paid $34 million for a 1st and 3rd round pick. Is that a reasonable price? I would say, financially, no. But I get that if they hit on what will likely be a late 1st round pick, it might be worth it in the long run.
  13. It's an interesting trade. Not sure why people think a 1st/2nd and 3rd is a small return for Wentz after the year he had this year. Seems like it's actually kind of a lot. If this past season proves to be an outlier and Wentz can return to his normal caliber of play with a significantly better supporting cast around him, Wentz might prove to be an upgrade from Rivers. If last year's level of play is his new norm, then it's a significant downgrade. This Colts team with the Wentz of old would be very scary, especially if they continue to upgrade their receiving corps.
  14. I haven't dove nearly as into the draft this year as usual, but I will say the clips floating around of Jaelan Phillips the past couple days have me swooning a bit for him as a pass rush prospect. Still hoping we address the line in free agency first so that we aren't leaning on a raw rookie, but he seems to have some serious gifts.
  15. Gotcha. I cannot imagine any way that Chicago agrees with you there lol.
  16. Why don't you think they would? I understand the reasons it might not work out, but they can't really roll it back with Foles/Trubisky IMO.
  17. He SHOULD be a franchise tag candidate for them so that they can see if the flashes he showed at the end of this season are real or just a flash in the pan.
  18. Sure but Licht had already done a fantastic job of building up that roster before this season anyways.
  19. To be fair, Tampa also had better WRs than Buffalo (though no doubt Buffalo's are very very good), 3 tight ends that are better than our best, a better OLine, and better RBs lol. Edit: This isn't an endorsement of acquiring Ertz.
  20. I think I wanted Uche, Fulton, or Ashtyn Davis at our spot last year. I preferred Moss over Dobbins anyways.
