  1. Basically this, except I'd slot a RB in after WR2/3 and I'd add another QB after C.
  2. Siemien seems like a reasonable target for what Buffalo seems to be looking for.
  3. To be fair, pretty much none of this year's class were under center QBs. Allen and Rosen played under center maybe 20% of the time and the rest were close to 0%.
  4. Don't get me wrong; I like him as a prospect, and if Buffalo had finished the year with a top 10 pick, I'd consider using it on him. But all of these trades to potentially move up and use it on such a risky prospect scares me a lot, so I'm with you in that regard. The big question is whether or not Buffalo believes he has the tools to be an accurate passer (mainly the coordination required to understand where he needs to put the ball in order for it to hit a moving target in stride) and simply needs to tweak his mechanics in order to get there, or if they think even with improved footwork, he's incapable. You can tell watching his film that his footwork definitely causes issues; I'm not smart enough to be able to tell if the coordination is there or not.
  5. Athleticism isn't based on how someone looks. He tested in the 82nd percentile of NFL QBs.
  6. Allen is more in the Carson Wentz mold of athlete, but he'll still be one of the more athletic QBs in the league. And I'm assuming you purposefully used 57% as the cutoff so that people couldn't point to Matt Stafford's 57.1%?
  7. I have Lamar as the #1 QB in this year's class, but he did have some hilariously bad throws at the Combine. It was very hit or miss for him.
  8. It wouldn't surprise me if that's indeed what their board looks like. I do believe the top 2 are correct; not sure about the order though.
  9. I'm sure the Bills will have someone at all of the QB's pro days; same goes for the Browns. It doesn't necessarily have to be the GM in order for the interest to be genuine.
  10. He was a 2 star recruit coming out of high school who only got a chance to play Division 1 because Wyoming's target went to Syracuse instead. You don't go from literally no college wanting you to being a potential #1 overall pick without improving. My top 2 are Lamar Jackson and Sam Darnold.
  11. As I just mentioned in one of the other threads, I don't think it was wise to pidgeon-hole Barkley in as a must for Cleveland to begin with. This year's rookie class is so talented that they could easily have preferred to just take Guice/Sony Michel/Ronald Jones in the 2nd round instead. This signing makes that even more of a possibility; Hyde and Duke should be a nice 1-2 punch.
  12. They could simply decide to pass on Barkley. It’s an amazing class for RBs and they could easily decide to take their QB there and then see what happens at 4. If Barkley is gone, maybe they take Bradley Chubb instead. If both are gone, maybe they simply trade down. Barkley makes sense for them, but so does pretty much any of the RBs. Just because he looks like a good prospect doesn’t mean they have to be the ones that take him.
  13. To be fair, that’s the same number that Josh Rosen had against top 30 defenses this year and nobody seems upset about the idea of drafting him. Allen has plenty of holes in his game right now, but the deck was also stacked so far against him in those games. Nobody could reasonably expect him to produce. And he also had at least one easy TD against Iowa that was dropped, not that 1 TD is much better. But I guess it’s easier to be dramatic since his WR couldn’t catch it and he therefore ended up with 0. Edit: for what it’s worth, I have Allen rated as my #3 QB prospect in this draft, but I personally don’t like the idea of trading up for him. While I think the potential reward is worthy of a top 10 pick, I wouldn’t feel good trading so many assets to take such a risky prospect there. I think it’s going to be him or Darnold in Buffalo though.
  14. I imagine at least part of it is also just limited resources. Wyoming has one player that teams are interested in; it's not an efficient use of your scouting resources to send someone to watch them play numerous times when you can send someone to the USC-UCLA game and scout like 15 different guys. But at any rate, Buffalo sent scouts to at least two Wyoming games this season that we know of: the Oregon and Utah State games; those are the only ones that have been reported.
  15. Buffalo has been scouting Allen for two years now. They did in fact go see one of his games in person this season but they can also glean just as much from watching his film from better angles than they’d get by being in the crowd. Regarding the bridge QB theory, there’s still QBs out there on the market and perhaps the front office is willing to take a step back in order to take a larger step forwards. Also, Allen could theoretically be ready to start in time for the regular season if need be. He has experience doing full field reads and playing under Center. It really depends on how long they think it’ll take to get his footwork right. You could make a decent argument that he’s closer to being ready for opening day than any of the QBs outside of Rosen honestly. I personally think Mayfield is more ready as well, but it’s debatable.
  16. Jacksonville just signed Bortles to a big extension. Arizona just signed Bradford for $20 million per year. Cleveland has Tyrod and whatever rookie they draft. Miami is paying Tannehill. Jets have McCown and whatever rookie they draft. None of those teams will offer him starting money or a legitimate chance at the starting job.
  17. Where is he going to go then? If not Buffalo, he has almost no chance of competing for a starting job.
  18. Figured this was coming after they tried to sign every wide receiver on the market. I don't expect him to come to Buffalo, but it would make a lot of sense for them to try to get him in.
  19. Whichever one of those 3 will take the least amount of money
  20. Buffalo has played the QB situation perfectly. They can play McCown and AJ off each other now and drive down the price and then basically do the same with the top 5 with basically everyone sounding interested in trading down.
  21. Just let the Jets have their choice and then we can scoop one up nice and cheap. No reason to overspend on a guy you’re replacing in at maximum, one year. I don’t think I’d even bother signing one until after the draft.
  22. In terms of pro-readiness, I'd say they fall into the following categories: Ready to go from Day 1: Josh Rosen Baker Mayfield (if it's a shotgun based offense) Can play on Day 1, but would prefer time to develop them: Sam Darnold Josh Allen Lamar Jackson I'd like to work with all 3 of these guys on their mechanics before I'd ideally let them play in the regular season.
