Thanks for posting. I'm not sure why exactly he doesn't mock a QB to the Giants even if he thinks they'd take a QB there as he says; just seems like weird logic. It doesn't sound like he knows any of this year's players that well yet, so I don't really see the harm in elevating one of the QBs to that pick if he's basically just guessing this far out anyways. I'm super early in my process of scouting the QBs for next year, but at the moment, I think Drew Lock is a worthy choice there. I'm glad to see he's relatively low on Justin Herbert at the moment...I've seen a lot of people mention him as a potential #1 pick (which, given his physical tools, is possible if he improves a lot), but I viewed him as more of a late 1st, early 2nd caliber QB based on last year's play; I prefer Lock and Shea Patterson over him in the very least and I wouldn't be surprised if Stidham and Thorson end up with higher grades for the preseason period too.

The Bills love for Allen goes back way further than that. People around the league have been hearing that Buffalo wanted Allen since like October.

WR should definitely be on the radar, but I don't think this guy will be a 1st round pick. I think he'll be a Day 3 pick.

I second the Perez choice. I think i has him as my #9 or 10 QB in the class.

I'm not saying he isn't athletic enough to play; I think he definitely is. My issue is that he looks like just an average athlete while also having poor technique. The only reason he stands out IMO is because he's playing against/with a lower level of competition. I'll be curious to see how much he improves by this time next year.

I wouldn't really take Chris Trapasso's word for it; he also had DJ Moore as the 10th best WR in this year's class, behind 7th rounders Auden Tate and Marcell Ateman and UDFA Deontay Burnett. Yeah, I don't mean to poo poo a local talent, but he looks like a 4th-5th round pick to me. The way he catches the ball scares me and he doesn't seem to be athletic enough to take a flier on early in the draft. Maybe he'll come back this year looking a lot better though.

I think he's basically just saying they aren't a good team on paper. Honestly I think #20 is pretty high; seems that a lot of people, including Vegas, expect them to be close to 25-28.

Yep. Perhaps it'll prove to be an anomaly, but this year at least, it appears that Beane really favors the physical attributes and is willing to put his trust in the Bills staff to develop these guys. I saw at least a couple times plays where the RT in particular literally didn't block anybody. He just stood up out of his stance and looked around while guys ran past him untouched. Edit: Obviously it's natural since he's our guy now, but I'm glad to see people diving into his film and coming away more impressed than they expected to be. I've been high on him for two years now and while he wasn't my first choice, I was happy that we took him over Rosen. A lot of the things people are seeing as they go through the film now are the same things I noted when I was doing my own scouting. He's soooo much further along as a passer than EJ for example was when the Bills took him; that comparison was always nuts to me. I've long felt that the Cam Newton comparison is the closest for him. He'll be a better passer/rely more on his passing than Cam does IMO, and obviously he isn't as good a runner as Cam (but is still good in his own right), but I think stylistically speaking, they're very similar as passers and playmakers. And Allen doesn't have the off-field red flags that Newton had.

I'm with you on the first paragraph; I think he looked good against Nebraska until it got out of hand at the end. I hope the last sentence proves to be true, but that's a little strong for me; I do think he has that kind of potential if he puts it all together though.

I imagine that they'd be open to trading him (if I remember right, there were rumors that he was being shopped earlier in the offseason). Someone from that team's WR corps is going to shake loose. I'm hoping it's Ricardo Louis; he at least has the size and speed that Buffalo could use and he seems like a potential cut candidate. I'm kinda curious if Curtis Samuel is available. Panthers took him in the 2nd round last year but I remember reading earlier this offseason that people believe they've already moved on (which is obviously not a good sign, but beggars can't be choosers). Obviously Carolina and Buffalo have worked together in the past already.

Jaelen Strong was cut this morning from Jacksonville. Big dude with good speed, I believe he was a Day 2 pick a couple years ago.

That's why I said "might". Dallas has three #3 WRs and then some question mark depth guys. Buffalo has Benjamin and then a bunch of depth guys. Really boils down to how much you like Benjamin. Yeah, they're also pretty terrible. I think Dallas, Washington, and Buffalo are the bottom 3 in whatever order you want.

They might be the only team in the NFL with a worse receiving corp than Buffalo

Lance Zierlein was saying the morning of the draft that if Buffalo traded up to 2, it would be for Allen.

I actually don't own any Bills jerseys and I won a bet with a friend of mine for a jersey, so I'm probably going to get an Allen one since I've been a fan of his dating back to last year.

Better than Ray Ray but I think Trey Quinn is better than both. I think Proehl can make the team though. really interesting that Buffalo didn’t address outside WR spots at all.
