UB-51 MIA OH-42 Bulls 8-1, AJ83 3TDs 238yds school record
DCOrange replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in College Football
I really think he'll be available on Day 3, or the end of the Day 2 at the earliest. Certainly will be an interesting test case for analytics though. I know PFF for example loves him and has him as like the #2 or 3 WR in the class while it seems most other draft pundits have him outside the top 10 WRs. -
Packers trade goat Ty Montgomery to Ravens
DCOrange replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unless they plan on playing Montgomery at WR, this seems like a really weird trade. He's basically a poor man's version of their current backup RB. -
Terrelle Pryor in Buffalo! Update: He's signing!
DCOrange replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's averaging more yards per game than the Bills leading receiver lol -
I think we need 3 between free agency and the draft to be honest. I think Buffalo will sign Adam Humphries to play in the slot and then I would guess they at least check in with someone like Tyrell Williams and ultimately draft at least one WR early.

Texans trading for Demaryius Thomas
DCOrange replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would have been pretty happy if Buffalo were able to trade McCoy for a 4th and then flip the 4th for Demaryius, but oh well. At least with the Golden Tate trade it seems like Nelson Agholer might be available in the offseason, so that's another potential option. -
Has the light finally gone on for Zay Jones?
DCOrange replied to KOKO NFL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do agree that they appear to be on two different paths. I'm still not very high on Zay, but he's at least shown enough to warrant keeping him around. Benjamin has shown enough to warrant getting him off the team. I don't want either guy to be a projected starter on this team next year though. -

The production is pretty even to be honest. Yards per catchable target: Benjamin: 9.4 Zay: 8.4 Target quality: Benjamin: 8.1 (31st in the league) Zay: 7.8 (46th in the league) True catch rate: Benjamin: 60.9% (105th in the league) Zay: 70.4% (95th in the league) True drop rate: Benjamin: 13% Zay: 3.7% PFF rating (and ranking in parentheses) Benjamin: 60.7 (89th) Zay: 61.9 (80th) PFF receiving rating: Benjamin: 60.4 Zay: 60.5 Zay's been slightly better this year, but the gap really isn't very large. They're both in contention for being the worst starting WR in the NFL. -
Sean McDermott is Out of Answers
DCOrange replied to Straight Hucklebuck's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not sure I agree with this to be honest. I think if he were content to winning games with defense and protecting the ball on offense to keep the scores down, Tyrod would remain the QB. Choosing to attempt to win games that way while we're clearly overmatched is different from if they continue to play that way once the offense has all the pieces they desire. I don't really agree with the way McBeane have gone about trying to rebuild the foundation, but it at least appears to me that the plan is to address the offense this offseason now that the defense is more or less set. -

I don't think what the coach says to the media is really all that important to be honest. Belichick generally doesn't provide any answers of relevance either and he seems to do alright. His coaching is all that matters (which I'm not particularly happy with either). -
First Round Draft Pick Is ...
DCOrange replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mel Kiper has 19 of the top 22 prospects as defensive players. And one of those 3 offensive guys is a QB that Buffalo obviously won't take. -
Drew Rosenhaus sighting at Buffalo airport
DCOrange replied to DCbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even Buffalo won't do that. There's just no RB remotely that valuable in this year's draft. I could definitely see someone like Damien Harris in the 2nd round though; in fact, I kinda expect that to happen with or without McCoy being moved. -
First Round Draft Pick Is ...

I think Hollywood is a prospect worth checking out, but regarding this comparison, Antonio had a solid 30ish pounds on Brown back when he was at the NFL Combine. -
Yes, probably a bunch of them that have a chance of going in Round 1: Kelvin Harmon DK Metcalf (depending on if he declares/how he's rehabbing) N'Keal Harry AJ Brown Marquise Brown and guys that I think will at least get some love: Collin Johnson JJ Arcega-Whiteside Deebo Samuel Nobody that I'd expect to go in the top 5-10 where Buffalo will be picking, but it's a pretty deep WR class IMO. Edit: I'd also add Hakeem Butler to the mix.

Dungey has been pretty damn good when healthy (with the exception of the last few weeks before this most recent game, though I suspect he's been hurt this year too) and Tommy DeVito participated in the UnderArmour All-America game and has looked great every time he's played so far in his career.

QB Kyle Allen worked out for Bills
DCOrange replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe Allen worked out for the Bills leading up to the draft as well -

Terrelle Pryor in Buffalo! Update: He's signing!
DCOrange replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's still rated 20 spots higher than Benjamin and 30 spots higher than Zay this year on PFF lol. -
Where? I see the Cleveland media all speculating about who the interim coach will be still. Literally one of their writers just tweeted out 30 seconds ago that it looks like it'll be Gregg Williams.
-
It could be Al Saunders instead, though that would leave a gaping hole on the offensive side of the staff.
-
I think he might be the first one fired too, but people were projecting Tampa to be in the hunt for the #1 pick this year. They've probably exceeded expectations for the most part. The fact that the defense hasn't improved at all is gross though. Edit: They were tied for the 5th worst over/under coming into the season at 6.5 wins, ahead of only Arizona, Cleveland, Buffalo, and the Jets.

Watching the Packers offense over the years, I'm very skeptical of McCarthy as an OC. Maybe with more time to focus on it, he'd do better, but the system in Green Bay is holding that team back.

Report: Bills have discussed trading KB
DCOrange replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seems like a really strange replacement for Fuller but I won't complain if Buffalo can find a taker. -
I'd personally pursue Quincy Enunwa, Jermaine Kearse, John Brown, and Tyrell Williams. I think Buffalo will actually pursue Tyrell and Adam Humphries.
