  1. I still kinda think someone else will be the first QB taken, but we'll see. I anticipate three QBs going in the first round and Haskins will obviously be one of them and probably go in the top 10.
  2. My current rankings pre Senior Bowl/pre Combine: DK Metcalf - I just think his physical tools make him a worthy gamble amongst a class of good but not spectacular prospects Deebo Samuel - I concur with the scouting report in the OP; love pretty much everything about Deebo. I think people are underrating him a bit due to his size, but he's as good beating press coverage as anyone in this draft class. To me, he's someone that can line up anywhere on offense and be good at it. N'Keal Harry - Can't help but love the body control and YAC ability that he shows for a guy his size. He has the speed question to answer at the combine and I come away disappointed with how he deals with press coverage, but he's another good prospect IMO. Tyre Brady - I love him. To me, he might have the best hands in the draft and he shows great body control along with it. Has pretty good athleticism as well. The Senior Bowl will be a big opportunity for him to prove himself but I think he's been slept on big time this year. Riley Ridley/Kelvin Harmon - Both appear to be good well-rounded receivers. Ridley is a bit more explosive IMO but I think Harmon is better at the catch point.
  3. Which one? They have two that are expected to be potential 1st or 2nd round picks this year. I'm guessing you mean Fant?
  4. I would assume Dareus is cut first, no? Zero dead cap if they cut Dareus and Jackson is probably better anyways. I would think both of them may be on the chopping block depending on how much flexibility Jacksonville wants to have this offseason. If they plan on just drafting and starting a rookie, they don't really have to rock the boat too much in terms of cuts.
  5. If we pursue a DT that gets cut, I'd prefer it be Gerald McCoy. Having said that, paying $25-30 million per year to your DTs (combined between Star, McCoy, and the two Phillips) is a lot.
  6. Not sure if it was posted in here already, but the Chargers came out and said after the game that they noticed on film that the Ravens O-Line was tipping their pitches before every play. Based on the way one of their tackles lined up, they knew if it was a pass or a run every single play and based on the way the TEs lined up, they knew exactly where the Ravens planned on running. Pretty alarming if you're a Ravens fan to have coaches that don't notice stuff like that.
  7. The thing is I think he's probably a lot more comfortable in the slot and probably projects best playing in the slot moving forwards, but philosophically speaking, I feel like Daboll might prefer a short, quick slot WR like he had in New England rather than a more well-rounded but not particularly special in any category type like Zay. I think a guy like Adam Humphries or Cole Beasley would be a significant upgrade over Zay in the slot.
  8. He wasn't my #1 QB, but I had been high on him dating back to the year before so I was happy to end up with him; made his jersey my first ever Bills jersey too. I thought he would play early on and obviously that came to fruition. His running ability has been utilized more than I expected, but beyond that, I think he's pretty much been exactly as advertised, and I view that as a good thing.
  9. I'm not a fan of Snell. If the Bills want to go with more of a power style RB, I think there are better options out there. Definitely do not see him as a 2nd round pick. I still kinda expect the Bills to end up with Damien Harris at the end of the day, but we'll see. He's not my top RB either.
  10. If you're fine with the TV Broadcasts rather than All-22, there is a ton of Daniel Jones film out there; maybe more than any other QB. You can literally find almost any of his games from the past three seasons. I don't think his ceiling is as high as Haskins and Lock, but I think he's the only QB I'd feel comfortable starting right away.
  11. I think he ends up in Washington after they trade up into the top 10.
  12. Zero interest in giving up a 2nd rounder plus paying him a big contract.
  13. If Jacksonville releases Fournette, I might show interest. I don't really want to be paying a two-down RB who isn't all that good on those two downs the amount of money Jacksonville is currently paying him though.
  14. With the 9th pick, it currently looks like Buffalo is probably going to have the following options on the table: Devin White Rashan Gary Clelin Ferrell Jonah Williams/Jawaan Taylor/Cody Ford DK Metcalf Greedy Williams Ed Oliver (if they're lucky) I'm still hoping for a trade down or Oliver, but we'll see.
  15. Lol he is not. Tampa literally just locked him up long-term this year and he put up the best season in franchise history. He's going nowhere. Buffalo can go for a big catch radius guy on Day 2 of the draft. Collin Johnson, Hakeem Butler, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, etc. Even Day 3 will have some of these guys like David Sills and Tyre Brady.
  16. This, IMO, is what made Bill Barnwell such an interesting writer when he was first breaking out with Grantland. The article is long enough that you might just want to jump around between sections and find the ones that you find interesting, but it's a really good read IMO and it goes in a lot of different directions. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/25650911/bill-barnwell-2018-lessons-nfl-season-means-2019
  17. I don't think that's true. https://www.sbnation.com/2017/1/10/14038902/nfl-teams-hiring-new-head-coach-must-follow-rules
  18. I think he means if Daboll gets a HC gig, which Buffalo wouldn't be able to prevent.
  19. I'm still on the fence with them. I love McDermott as a leader but I think he has a lot of growing to do as a game manager still (which is totally fine; he's a young, inexperienced coach). Beane has a pretty shaky track record so far IMO but this is obviously likely to be the make or break offseason for him with the cap space and draft picks that he's accumulated. I'm a bit nervous that we'll let him make these big moves and then end up finding out we wasted the assets and then have to bring someone else in to clear out his mistakes like he did when he was first hired but we'll see. He's certainly had some pretty good moves mixed in with the bad.
  20. I think Kwon will be re-signed before he can hit the open market. If not, I think he'll get a much larger contract than I'm comfortable with considering that Buffalo already has Milano and Edmunds in place. As for Humphries, I think he's going to get paid. I wouldn't be shocked if he gets like 4 years $40 million or 3 years $30 million or something like that after the contract we just saw Quincy Enunwa receive. Humphries would be a tremendous fit here though and I think Buffalo will show interest in him.
  21. I'm not sure I want to be spending the money that both McCoy and Star will cost, but McCoy would be slotted into a role where he could play 60-70% of snaps even with McD's rotation. I'd certainly rather pay McCoy $12+ mil than paying Star but we're unfortunately saddled with Star already so it might be best to find a cheaper interior pass rusher.
  22. Trade down should still be the goal IMO, but it’s a bummer that we’re probably out of range for Oliver now. Seems like we’re destined to reach on someone if we stay at 9.
  23. Lamar has completely transformed that team and he's nowhere near his potential ceiling. Allen isn't near his yet either. If either of them are able to reach their respective ceilings, they'll probably be MVP candidates IMO.
  24. Like I said, I think the order will remain the same, but I would assume that Baker scored higher than a 53 this week, so he'll probably pull further ahead of Allen than he already is and Lamar probably scored higher than a 44, so I'd imagine he'll close the gap on Allen somewhat (though still be behind him).
