Think this sums up my thoughts well: -

Yeah, he can handle a lot of touches. That's cool and all, but I can get 3 RBs for far less money that can do that too. I'd take almost any other team's RB situation over the Cowboys, especially considering the OLine Dallas has. Correlation =/= Causation. These stats are purely correlation. Teams only get 100 yard rushers these days when they're running the clock out with a lead. On the flipside, you're more likely to accrue more passing yards when you're playing catch up. -

Yes, but you said he accounted for the majority of the team's yards when it was actually a very small fraction and nowhere remotely close to a majority. -

The fact that the compromise was Dallas giving him MORE money in order to have him locked up for 8 years instead of a sane number is crazy. He accounted for less than 15% of the team's yards last year. -

McCoy finished better than 5th on the team in receiving yards once, and that was because we arguably had the worst group of receivers in the league. Even then, he still managed to finish 5th last year when that was still the case. -

I think Zeke was overpaid on his rookie contract, much less the one he just signed. Was a stupid draft pick at the time and is a stupid signing now. -

Whatever the guaranteed amount is is probably still too much by a wide margin. -
I think Brissett will play well statistically and the Colts will be in the hunt for the AFC South title.

I moved down to DC a few years back and finally made my way to Baltimore for the first time earlier this summer. We were only hanging around the waterfront area, but that area was really nice. Definitely hoping to go back again soon.

Not sure I'd be willing to do it if I were in their shoes but: It's the GM's 4th year in the role. He might not get a 5th if the season is a disaster as it appears likely to be. Clowney is only 26. He fits the timeline of a rebuilding team and will likely outplay whatever draft pick compensation they need to surrender to acquire him/outplay his next contract. At the same time, he probably won't be such a difference maker as to take them out of the running for a great QB prospect this year.

I don't think you have to worry about that. There's no chance that Disney makes their heroine evil. At best you might get her "going bad" very briefly to undermine the First Order from the other side or something. More likely IMO, this is just a vision seen through the eyes of Kylo or a test for herself similar to when Luke saw himself as Vader.

Cant stand Aaron Rodgers.
DCOrange replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I totally understand why people would dislike Rodgers' personality. There's absolutely nothing wrong with his take on the Luck/fans booing thing though. He's 100% correct that those fans are idiots. -
I expect to land somewhere in the 6-9 win range. I voted 8-9.

Any All-Pro Bills this year?
DCOrange replied to Drunken Pygmy Goat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd be pretty shocked if any of these guys make All-Pro this year. If I had to pick somebody, I guess I'd go with White, but I don't actually believe that. -
What adjustment do you think they would have made? I doubt they like any of the options out there more than Brissett anyway and they might be perfectly fine with Chad Kelly being their backup. And by all accounts, the Colts were aware that he was considering retirement so if they thought they weren't prepared, they should have made a move already.

I think it's likely PFF not basing it exclusively on their rookie seasons but including their draft scouting reports as well. PFF didn't think Allen was a good prospect coming out of college and then he mostly struggled as a rookie. I don't think PFF loved Rosen or Lamar coming out of college, but they definitely liked them a lot more than Allen so I think the logic is basically "good prospect, bad year" > "bad prospect, bad year". Hence why Kyler is above Allen despite never playing an NFL snap before; they think he's a great prospect.

What do you do if you are Cowboys GM?
DCOrange replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd be trading Zeke for sure. He's already overpaid as is and is under contract for two more years. His holdout is ridiculous. I'd gladly move him for a Day 2 pick and would at least consider an early Day 3 pick if that's all I can get. Then again, I wouldn't have drafted him in the first place, but here we are. I don't think I'd be comfortable paying Dak either; I'd tend to lean towards taking a chance on a draft pick rather than paying an average starting QB top 5 QB money. Amari, I'd be fine with signing long-term even if his last couple years in Oakland give me a little pause. He was clearly a huge difference maker last season for Dallas. -
I think Murray is a really good prospect and very well might end up being the better QB between the two. Having said that, I'm not going to waste my time reading that article because it just sounds stupid.

DCOrange replied to Heitz's topic in Off the Wall
I imagine that's the case, but I don't think that's all that different from what I do now/used to do with my previous job haha. The real tough part for me to reconcile is that it would probably be less money for far more hours and less control over my personal life. I do think it would be more interesting though and maybe that would outweigh everything else. Anyways, don't want to derail the Netflix thread over this haha. -

Yessir! Just started Season 2 last night. Psychology, and criminal psychology in particular is something that's always been fascinating to me. A part of me wishes I had tried to get into that line of work. Probably more interesting than what I do now but my field definitely has its perks. -
Who could we realistically trade Zay or Shady for?
DCOrange replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Dallas will be totally fine with Tony Pollard if it comes to that, and I don't really think it'll come to that. -
Receiver competition with two games left
DCOrange replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is precisely where I'm at. And I think Ray-Ray is more likely to make it than Duke for that final spot (if they decide not to keep McKenzie) simply because we need someone that can at least try to fill Beasley's role whenever he's tired/banged up. To me, Duke's only chances of making the roster are if we keep 7 WRs or if one of Zay/Foster is surprisingly cut. -

Realistically, a Day 3 pick for Zay, maybe a late Day 3 pick for Shady if you're lucky. If the staff thinks McCoy will not handle it well if Singletary gets a lot of reps, I'd happily cut him at this point. Zay...the staff is higher on him than I am. I'd keep him and just have him be a rotation guy, but it seems like the staff wants to start him, so I'd rather cut him to save the staff from themselves.
