Rams & Chiefs Offensive Lines

Still not knocking AP, did every other team who drafted before the browns screw up the pick too? Well keep overlooking the fact they signed Lewis (1300 yards). -

Saying Joe Thomas is a dumb pick because AP was great is the dumbest stance ever. Hey the Browns should have drafted Big Ben in 04, Aaron Rodgers in 05, Shady in 09, Gronk/Graham, /Tate in 10, You ability to look back a decade and say "wow I knew that was coming" is astounding. You're saying nothing worthwhile, you didnt even have a horse to ride in on. -

And the vikings still won 1 playoff game in that time. I gotcha, no point in beating a dead horse here! -

Hey man I respect your opinion, I agree AP is the best RB i've seen since Tomlinson probably. I just dont think using Thomas is the best way to show the value of an OT early on, especially because he is maybe the GOAT. Btw I think you could have given the browns AP, Thomas, Megatron, and Willis and they would still screw it up. Decent fans though McKinnie, Burke, Hutchinson..............All probowlers and HOFers. Maybe AP was so good because he had a great line. -

Wow I just dont actually believe you're so adamant about this. Ill say, AP is the best rb of the last 15 or so years and is an amazing rb. But you're just playing woulda, coulda, shoulda, here. AP had 1 (?) playoff win in his tenure in Minn, if you think his impact would have brought the Browns any better you're a fool. AP even had a real org to build around him and he still didnt win anything, the browns are perpetually the dumbest team in sports. But keep preaching how the messiah peterson single-handedly shifted the playoff picture year in and year out. For the record, if I knew the future, I would still have taken JT at that pick -

No I was genuinely asking what your point was, not taking a shot at you. You basically are saying JT added no value to the team, even though he was the only good player on an awful team for decades. This is even more impressive considering the browns were trash for 20 years, and all those other skill position impact players accounted for 0 impact in any way. At least Thomas moved the needle and gave the fans something to cheer for. Im so flabbergasted by this because, even though you say you're not knocking JT, you choose HIM as an example why not to draft OL high. Like his "lack of impact" was the reason the browns were terrible. Awful take and awful reasoning, credibility just plummeted to 0 If you're hypothetical point is that AP would have been more valuable you're hitting negative credibility. Fantasy hindsight to support a terrible take -

Awful take and incredible reach. What is your point here anyways, that oline doesnt matter? Because Thomas is literally the only good player (sans Hayden, Schwartz, Mack) that has been even marginally worth while this century. All those other skill positions and qbs did them nothing but you're knocking arguably the greatest LT of all time? Have you ever seen a football game before? -
True but draft picks can bust just as easily if an over payed FA. Probably much less often actually and we have more cap space relative to draft picks. OL is the center of everything, a solid line improves the WR's, RBS, and most importantly QB. Id rather overspend on an established lineman thank risk it in the draft. That being said draft all the OL you can anyways

Stephon Gilmore - first team AP All-Pro
BillsMafia13 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What do you mean not true. I get he's got the personality of a rock but look at his face draft night. He looked like he just got the death penalty on the biggest night of his life. Its obvious he didnt want to be here, great cb but it was painfully obvious -
We already had Freddy and Marshawn, but Spiller was electric (BPA). BPA is subjective and a gamble. Terrible Oline and WRs are not debatable and will not get fixed if we ignore them in the draft. A book end OT is much more valuable than a great DE, especially when FA and the draft dept is much deeper. Unless the gap between BPA and next guy is substantial

Would you trade for AJ Green?
BillsMafia13 replied to Tatonka68's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didnt realize he will be in his last year of the contact. If we could extend him at a decent price maybe -
So realistically, who do you want at 9?
BillsMafia13 replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jamarus Russell was consensus #1 on probably everyones board. BPA doesnt hit you not only didnt fill a hole, you wasted a pick -
Would you trade for AJ Green?
BillsMafia13 replied to Tatonka68's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not even close to true, outside of this year he has barely missed any games. And Greens impact would be 10x whatever a rookie could provide this year. Green is an established stud, our last 2nd round pick on a WR was Zay. Easy choice but he wont be that cheap -
2019 NFL Draft: Bills officially picking 9th
BillsMafia13 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every player is a gamble, there is no quantifiable breakdown of how players careers will turn out. The higher BPA could always bust easier than a lower player. Its not black and white but ill take a position of great need over talent at an already set position any day -

So if a safety was ranked ( which is all subjective and guessing) #7 overall but an OT was ranked #13. You would choose the safety in this situation? -

How does that make sense, if we need a OT and we reach 5 spots, he will be bad for us but he would have succeeded if he got drafted at pick 15? -
EJ Manuel: What went wrong after year 1?
BillsMafia13 replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Im confused here. Is consensus EJ had a very talented team or did not? If memory serves this was a pretty good team all around with not much of a weakness, sans that dolt Marrone -

Kinda just hit me, Allen has the Brett Favre kind of mentality when he steps on the field -

This, even his check downs were awkward as hell. Cant count how many he spiked at the receivers feet from 8 yards away -
Im just going to play devil's advocate here. Is there any situation at all where we wont decide a players future within a 1 season time frame? Apparently TE is done as a MLB even though he is super young and a rookie so idk how much more of a leash a player should be allotted. Some are still certain JA is a bust. But is there any situation where we wont set a players fate in stone after 1 season of review?
