The 3-team deal I’d like to see the Bills pull off on day 2
Floydboy12 replied to iccrewman112's topic in The Stadium Wall
Stat guys can quote all the numbers they want. This defense has come up extremely small 2 years in a row when it mattered most. If it happens a third year in a row I can’t imagine Frazier, Edmunds or maybe even McDermott survive it. -
Explanation doesn’t make much sense. If he’s only taking a corner then it does. He may have nailed the pick but being locked into a position took a bunch of good players off the board.
-
Obviously remains to be seen. But I feel like the Ravens have killed it where they’ve picked this draft. Drafted 2 very high football IQ guys and added later picks.
-
Don’t like the pick much. Think he’s been overhyped like the Florida corner from a couple years ago. Hope I’m wrong. Would have been ok with a trade up for McDuffie. Not this guy.
-
I’d love the trade. Just have no idea why a rebuilding NO would do that deal.
-
Any freakishly athletic looking linebacker who when you watch him on film always seems to be coming into the frame just as the play has ended.
-
I read the Breece Hall rumors and it worries me to use a first round pick on a RB. But I also watch his film and think, “ this dude might be Eric Dickerson”. For a team so close to a championship he might just be the piece.

I’m in SEC country. Elam would be a mistake IMO. Has always played soft. McCreary has been a much better player in college. That dudes a bulldog.
-
I would be ok with King. He’s been in the organization right? And I’m not sure there’s as much wear on the tires with him as Bouye. But for the most part I’m good with Jackson and a solid rookie till White returns.
-
I actually like Jackson quite a bit. Have thought with added experience he would soon be a better player than Levi. I’m anti bringing in aging vet. We seem to have brought in a guy a couple times the past few years that the consensus was they were washed. And guess what? They were washed. I think this staff does a great job getting the most out of secondary guys. But in my opinion that coaching seems to be more effective on young guys who are more eager and willing to be coached than older vets. Just go with Jackson and draft a guy in the first 4 rounds.

You’re right. He’s nowhere near as fast as Hill. Few are. I do think he’s a 4.4 guy though and very shifty. I have my doubts Hill is any taller than Wandale. He is very good after the catch, has great hands, and tough as nails. He was really the only receiving weapon in a fairly heavy run first offense so the focus was usually on him. I don’t recall near as many times being caught from behind as some of these draftniks but I’m sure there were some. This is the SEC. Would IMO be an immediate upgrade over McKenzie in the slot. I’m admittedly biased as a UK fan. But that program has reached never before seen heights the past few years and are producing a lot of really good players. Also he is to my knowledge a solid human being whereas Hill is a garbage human being. I’d be excited if the Bills drafted him.

I think he might move up if Stingley was in reach.
-
Hope the real Patriots aren’t as clever with their draft as you. My only question is would Pitt settle for a second for Johnson? You guys know more about veteran players worth in draft picks than me, but he really seems to have come into his own.
-
I just copy and paste the finished draft page from whatever simulator I’m using. Then edit it a little on here as to not take up too much space.
-
The more I think about McCreary the more I like it if he’s there in 2nd. I live in SEC country and have watched this guy many times. He’s a bully in the secondary. And I know this. He was a much better player at the college level than Elam was. I know that doesn’t always translate to the Pros and he doesn’t have the measureables others do but this guy is really good. And will be ready day one if White has a slow recovery.

No way Chargers want that extra salary. If just trading picks for picks it might make sense if one of the corners Bills like is still on the board.

25 Daxton Hill S 57 Chad Muma LB 89 Wan'Dale Robinson WR 130 Luke Fortner IOL 168 Joshua Ezeudu IOL 185 Reed Blankenship S 203 Charlie Kolar TE 231 Jalen Nailor WR I’d be pretty tickled with this draft. I think Hill is the type of versatile guy all good teams need. I’ve made no secret of my desire to move on from Edmunds. I think Muma might give them the impetus to do that. Robinson is in my opinion one of the most overlooked receivers in this draft. Great competitor, tough as nails and productive. Two solid interior lineman. Developmental safety and TE. And a possible KR return man and depth receiver in Nailor.

Maybe it’s been talked about and I missed it. But is there a way for the Bills to trade up or down? There are a couple guys who might be available at that 12 spot Vikings put out trade feelers on that I think Bills might jump at. Namely Stingley or Hamilton.
-
It looks to me like BPA where we pick might not be an area of significant need. If I’m correct I look for the Bills to try to trade up or down from 25. I don’t think they stand pat this time.

25 Kaiir Elam CB 57 Chad Muma LB 89 Wan'Dale Robinson WR 130 Kyren Williams RB 168 Lecitus Smith IOL 185 Matt Hankins CB 203 Tyquan Thornton WR 231 Esezi Otomewo EDGE

Gardner Booth (probably) Stingley Lot of good players in this draft I’d hate to pass up reaching for a corner. JMO.
-
I don’t think a corner worthy of a first round pick is gonna be there at 25. I wouldn’t be opposed to trading down and drafting the Woolen kid in the second.
-
I trust these coaches developing secondary players. Get offensive weapons early and draft a couple corners mid to late.
