I'm going to guess that teams have a stronger opinion on these guys than fans do. The Browns have a surplus of capital and wouldn't be shocked if they want to assure themselves of their first choice. Giants are probably more than willing to move down. Maybe multiple times. They can get the G later than top 5.
I think it's going to come down to do the browns value their draft capital more than the difference between their 1st qb and their 3rd qb. If their draft capital is more important to them I see them going Barkley 1 and whoever at 4.

Wow, Foles just won Superbowl out throwing Tom Brady, never said Franchise QB, you can still draft that if you believe in someone later in 1st and 2nd round. Obviously Luck needs to pass a NFL physical to make trade legal, if that doesn't happen trade null if it does happen then he can play football. Manning was told to quit but still managed 3 good years and 2 Superbowl visits and a Super ring. Luck if he can play is just as talented at that point of Manning's career. Any scenario is always different, what remains the same is Indy can replace Luck with a QB that apparently Bills fans all are willing to give every pick in the top 3 rounds for. So if that is the case why wouldn't Indy take a GOOD trade even if it is for a Franchise QB that Irsay doesn't like?
He didn't even come close to out throwing Brady. Why would you give up what the eagles want for a non franchise qb. You are tearing apart your own argument by saying he is a non franchise qb. Manning was a shell of himself that relied on some awesome defenses to do what he did in Denver.

Why is this a smart move? Let two other teams possibly swoop in and take your top choice at QB? I'm curious why popular opinion on this board is that the Brows should be happy with whatever QB falls to them, but the Bills need to get pick two or three to avoid the apocalypse. The Browns can make a move and get their choice of QB and Barkley. What's bad about that?
Popular consensus is Darnold Mayfield and Rosen are all fairly close in talent. So landing 1 of them and landing the best player in the draft would be huge for that franchise.

Buffalo stayed away from Foles last year, could have had him. How did that work out. Luck is and always will be till he can't be a 1st pick over all talent and someone who has played well in the NFL. They do not come around every day. Hell people still are wishing on Cutler. Luck is a Franchise QB!!!!! Even Bree Brees was given away at one time!
Foles is not the long term answer as a qb he is not that good. The point about Luck is just asinine. If his shoulder is beyond repair and can't throw a football anymore how does that help any team. The chargers had Rivers when they let Brees walk so it's a completely different scenario then Lucks.

I don't see him going anywhere by next Friday. If anything he would be part of a draft day move up package.

I love what's going on right now. It's keeping the normally dull period of the NFL fairly exciting. It seems like teams have realized paying high prices for aging vets is no longer the way to do things. The rookie wage scale is in my opinion why this is all happening.

Indy has 3rd pick for new Franchise QB, move Luck they now can get 1st pick and take who they want to replace Luck and still have a 1st pick available later. Buffalo is the only team that has the picks to get Luck and provide the proper picks. Why would Cleveland go for Luck after getting Tyrod. They may be OK getting any of the 3 QB's if Indy tells them who they are selecting.
Why qould any team want to trade for Luck? If Indy is willing to let him go that should be enough red flags to stay away from him.

I don't think the Cleveland trade will happen. If we do trade for #4 I think we need to give up more.
The Indy trade.....meh, I think Luck is available. But, if he is available he is either damaged goods OR Irsay is frustrated and making a bad move!
I don't think the Cleveland trade happens even if you offer them a ton of picks. They take Barkley 1 then 1 of the 3 top qbs at 4. Smartest move they could make is to do this.

Why hasn't Schmidt been cut yet? I feel he single handedly lost the playoff game for us. With any good punting we win that game.
How? When was the last time a team won a game scoring 3 points in a NFL game?

It had better be Rosen with Mayfield as a backup plan
Give me either and I'm happy but I do like Mayfield more than Rosen.

Wouldn't be shocked with the way he acts on the field. Guy is a total punk.

Not a chance - 200 receptions by Landry would require nearly 350 passes from TT just to that 1 player.
Landry will be fuming at his 60 catches for 250 yards as the top WR - he is not soft spoken like the guys here - he wants his targets.
Depending on how long they start him - I think with Hue on his way out and an OC that is notorious for getting into it with his QB if he is not doing what the OC wants - it is going to be a long and painful year in Cleveland for TT.
.idk if Landry will even see 60 catches this year. He will be their number two receiver at best and more than like Tyrods 3rd option since Landry runs mostly over the middle as a slot reciever.
-
Landry doesn't have nearly the talent Watkins does. Landry only puts up big numbers because of the amount of times he is targeted.

Topic title:
Can we please bring in Cutty? He recaptured some of that old magic last season, despite having a limited offseason with his new team. He didn't have a team with the right skillset, KB is more a WR that he is used to, a jump ball guy.
Also, he had more TD's than TT last year. He's an instant upgrade at QB AND is the perfect bridge for Rosen.
Please tell me you're joking

I like Mayfield the most but if we grab Rosen instead I wouldn't complain.

Totally. A team facing Brady in a game like say the superbowl has no chance with a retread like foles. Ha
I'm with him. Sign a vet and take best available with 21 or 22 and load this team up with talent.
Blind squirrels find nuts every now and then too.

thank you for a reasoned response.
Reasoned responses require reasonable thread topics.

Why do people continue to make threads that have no merit. There is zero chance Indy is moving him unless his shoulder is beyond repair which makes him useless anyways.

I just don't understand all the love for moving up in the draft to get our QB. If I'm the GM or owner I have the attitude that I'm building this team to beat the Patriots. Best team in the division, best team in the AFC, best team in the league. I don't go after an unproven commodity. That being said; I go after Foles first, if I can't get him, Andrew Luck, he dosent seem happy in Indy and they need everything. If they don't work out. I get Keenum, if that doesn't happen, I try to find a "bridge" guy. Maybe Tom Savage, Bradford, or Teddy.
I draft the best DT available. You beat the Patsies with pressure right up the middle. Then I find an edge rusher. There are going to be QB's falling in the draft.
The reason to move up and get a qb is because the only way you can sustain success in the NFL is by having a franchise qb. No other positions on the NFL can win you a game like a qb can. Retread qbs just don't work out and that route is getting old. You beat the Pats by having a qb that can out up points not with a defensive tackle to put pressure up the middle.

I think if we get Mayfield there’s no need for Bradford ,
i really Like Mayfield IMO he’s the best QB in this draft ,
I agree with Mayfield as the best qb in the class but you just dont want throw him into the fire day 1. You have to get a vet guy in case he isn't ready for the NFL game right away. It would be better to let him sit a year if need be rather than throw him into the fire and burn.

Teddy's knee is just as bad as Bradford.
Not quite Bradford has a degenerative condition which Bridgewater doesn't have.

I don't think you have watched Mayfield play if you think he is a joke.

Bradford can't play a full year and Rudolph isn't a first round talent.

Really you believe these guys are franchise qbs? So the new norm is for a team to not only let one franchise qb walk but three. How many times has a qb hit free agency, went to another team and became a top tier qb in the league? I'm not saying it can't happen it's just highly unlikely.
Brees is the only one at the age of these guys that comes to mind but at the same time the chargers had Rivers.

Buffalo will go 3 ways with QB situation with these players in play
