To heck with the Pittsburgh Steelers
Stroke 17 replied to appoo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Im 63, 45 year season ticket holder from northwest PA and like you hate the steelers and all their fans more than any other organization in the universe. like you I cursed the NFL rule of local broadcasts for years while I traveled 50 miles every Sunday when the Bills were on the road to watch my team. Like you i hate their obnoxious bandwagon jumping fans. No matter the conversation with a steeler fan it always ends with the mention of " yeah we got six". I get it they got 4 in the 70's when there was no free agency, the league was a littler weaker with the merger. That being said they have won 2 Super Bowls in 40 freakin years but the fans and the media act like they win one every other year. Sorry, I want/need the Bills to win this game on Sunday and help get them out of the playoff picture, i am just so anxious over this game. 63 freakin years old and still worrying about a football game'i am one sick guy.. Seriously, i wouldn't root for the steelers if they were playing Iraq.........................GO BILLS -
Second, everything felt odd about the experience. I was watching the Bills sitting at home instead of in a sports bar, where I usually have to go for road games. Why? Because this game was televised nationally, at least figuratively if not technically in prime time. I’m completely accustomed to watching the Bills on some regional broadcast with no-name announcers and with more or less no one around the country watching. So what where those lovely blue and white uniforms doing on TV on Thanksgiving afternoon? Ah Shaw,as a PA Bills fan I feel your pain. Sundays at the Stadium are great but the watching of the away games with On Direct TV for $300 more is something only Bills fans can appreciate. I watch alone, nobody to cheer with, nobody to complain with, nobody to discuss the game with after its over. Nobody sees the game or the Bills but us. I bowl on Mondays and its all Steelers talk all the time, until yesterdays game it has just been the about Bills and their easy schedule and whatever the national media says. (mostly Bulls##t) GO BILLS!

ROCKPILE REIVEW - The Bills Don't Have Quite Enough
Stroke 17 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
THE Bills are still the bills. When a winnable must win game is staring them in the face it still goes bad at every turn. When the touchdown by Hughes was called a pass was there any doubt that the end result,as normal, would be a drive to put me and the Bills out of our misery. Did you really think the clock management by the Bills would be good enough to tie or win the game. Did anybody really think that somebody on the team would step up and make a play or a kick to win or tie. Not me, i have sen it too many times. I am just sick and tired today and so worried about the rest of this year that had so much promise. -
What are your Favorite football cliches
Stroke 17 replied to Don Otreply's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The coaches really like this guy -
Leave it to the Bills to screw up the entry to the stadium. The long lines and confusion by those at the gates is a mess. It never changes, especially early in the season when the gate keepers are new and overly cautious. there is no reason for getting to the gate at 12;15 and missing the flyover, i have been to at least 10 other stadiums and none of them have the wait times the Bills do.

Kyle Williams: Officially Retires
Stroke 17 replied to Clemfield2622's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
During his career and the Bills not being very good I often focused on Kyle. Many times I just thought that if everybody on the team played with his passion and grit the team would be a lot better. The dude played his heart out for this franchise and more importantly for the fans like me who love the sport, appreciate what it takes to compete at such a high level, and lifts those around him. Thanks for the memories! Go Bills! -

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - “No Review This Week”
Stroke 17 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In a nutshell. The Bills do what the Bills do. Get up on a team and never put their foot on the Neck. So many things to talk about in this one but why waste my time. Put teams away when you have the chance. -

NFL looking at changes to Punting
Stroke 17 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm all for bringing it back but because of safety concerns not going to happen. It just really p**ses me off. If not thru the endzone its a flag -
NFL looking at changes to Punting
Stroke 17 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Get rid of the kick off. It really irritates me when fans are fired up before the game and then it starts with a kick off going thru the end zone. Everybody sits while they spot the ball, offense runs on field and fans take a drink. Like the punt if the kick is returned there is a penalty, especially if it is the Bills. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Just Plain Bad
Stroke 17 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"For years I’ve told disbelieving friends that I travel to see the Bills as much as I do because I’m a loyal fan. I tell them the Bills are working on getting better. Driving home after the Bears game I had a lot of time to think about why I travel to see the Bills. There’s no good explanation other than it’s a bad habit. My Bills caps and my sweatshirts too, and my zubas and my Bills Santa/elf cap are still in my trunk, but to be honest, I don’t know why." GO BILLS!!! 44 years a season ticket holder, true red white, and blue, travel 5 hours, missed 3 home games in that time and I am right there with you. Coming home Sunday night I told my wife I didn't know if I could do this anymore especially with 3 meaningless games in December. Like you I still haven;t unloaded the truck, just am beat down. They're killin me Shaw, They're killin me! See you all after thanksgiving And finally, In the 2018 NFL where it is illegal to play defense how can this offense be so bad. -
Has anyone else had issues with Sunday ticket this year?
Stroke 17 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Twice this year I have a blacked out game on he Ticket even though it was not on my local feed. i called and was told it was controlled by the NFL and there was nothing they could do.i told them that I pay for all the games not on my local and i wanted to talk to a supervisor, Nothing. Anybody else have this particular problem. -
No argument there. When I was in grade school I used to get my report card with a grade and a number. I was usually grade C-3 3 said," does whats required nothing more" In a nutshell that is the Bills and because of my grade school, formative years I guess that is why I keep coming back. Thanks for your diagnosis. I will sleep better now.
-
Why oh why do I keep coming back for more. 44 years a season ticket holder with more misery than happy times but Im still here. I can't believe I am about to type this but Sundays game may be the worst I have felt since wide right. There are plenty of games to choose from but for some reason Sunday was areal kick in the N**ts. There I said it. It was brutal before and after Allens injury. The before injury, I get that Josh is a rookie but how can a guy who has been a football since he was 8 years old not be able to throw an on target pass just 5 to 7 yards down field. How can a guy who got to this point in his career be so off target. A simple crossing pattern that high school QB's make and sure as hell an NFL QB makes seems to be a real challenge for Bills QB. How can a deep throw that if in the area may get a PI call be so far out of bounds or so overthrown it no chance of being anything but a throwaway. I watch so many other teams, good and bad, make simple plays and in the 2018 NFL where defense is almost illegal. My freakin team can"t complete a pass. Records are being broken in pass yards, point scored and my team, your team, our team is just awful. Man its hard to watch. Man I can"t wait for the 3 December games, sitting there with a few people that are left trusting the process. After the injury, well you know, the same old thing that we all knew was going to happen. I say it all the time whether in the stands or on the couch, how the hell can a bunch of half drunk fans see what is going on with this team but the people paid to know see nothin. Thanks for letting me vent AGAIN. Go Bills!
-
Thanks man. You layed down what i was trying to say. Those that call me a crybaby have no idea the amount of time, money and energy I have devoted to this team. I am not really complaining, hell I buy my tix, make the 5 hr ride, (for the last 44 yrs), brainwashed my wife and kids, go to away games, buy the merch and all I want is to have a team that looks like other NFL teams. You see I know I am the fool, the Bills are my crack cocaine, every time I want to quit I get sucked back in. It's a habit I can't break. They,re killin me Whitey, They're killin me!
-
I have the ticket so when the Bills are on the road I see a lot of NFL football. I get really pissed when I see wide receivers running wide open, backs out of the backfield running a crossing pattern, wide open, actual use of tight ends and teams with multiple wide receivers who not only can get open but they can also catch. An NFL team (my team) gets shut out!
-
Actually one year ago September 26,2017 I had a stroke. Doctor said if you are a Bills fan it may have led to the stroke.
-
I am in my 44th year as a season ticket holder and I have said at least 30 times over the years "that this is the worst" I have embraced the suck but I see the end is near. I am 62 years old and I only have about 39 seasons left.
-
Looking around the league yesterday there is no doubt the Bills have the worst offense in the entire country. Pee wee, high school ,college, powder puff...... Will we ever see an NFL offfense? Will we ever see a real NFL receiver? The rules in the Nfl favor offenses and here in Buffalo the Bills can"t get a freakin field goal. Some point totals from yesterday, Houston 37, Colts 34, Bears 48, Bengals 37, Falcons 36, Pats 45, Browns 42, Raiders 45, Saints 33. The team I root for 0, ZERO, NONE, ZILCH, NADA not a freakin point. Years ago John McKay coach of the Tampa Bay Bucs was asked about the EXECUTION of his offense, he said he was in favor of it. Thats how I feel about the Bills offense. I want my ticket money back, I deserve at least half my money back as it seem that the Bills only field half a team. That wide receiver bunch is a freakin joke, and the offensive line is the punch line. Thanks for letting me vent. They're killin me Whitey, they're killin me!

So freakin depressing, sadly it might be the truth. It is always the Bills as being talked about as the WORST never the FIRST.
