Are you a season ticket holder?
Stroke 17 replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am a proud ticket holder since 1974. 1974 thru 1999 Sec H Row 2 Aisle 2. Now the Paul McGuire Club seats Since 1999 you can find me in Sec 135, Row 35. Seats 24-25 First missed home opener in 46 years. Until this year had only missed 2 home games. 225 miles round trip. 3 of 4 Super Bowls, Loved every minute of it, good and bad. Northwest PA and I hate the freakin steelers and their fans, Go Bills! . -
Season ticket holder 41 years and opted in. Hoping to get a chance but wil have a 230 mile round trip just to get tested. Can deal with that but my concern. If I opt in for the Wild Card weekend I understand I would be ineligible for the Division game and if the Bills won and the Chiefs lose would I not be eligible for the Championship game. Seems the least senior season tix holder have the upper hand and a better shot at the more important games. with all respect to less senior ticket holders seems a little unfair. I want to go to a playoff game but I also want a shot @ Championship game.

A COMPLETE Role Reversal

And is anybody feeling sorry for Belicheat. All the excuses by the ESPN crew about all that has gone wrong for the Pats fall on deaf years for Bills fans. When Belicheat threw the phone I i loved it, Screw him. poor guy. -

Week 14 Bills vs Steelers SNF PreGame Thread
Stroke 17 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every time they show the empty stadium my depression gets a little darker. 46 straight years, missed less than 5 home games in that time and I have to sit home and watch this. Add to that my absolute hate for the Steelers and their fans I am struggling. A year ago this weekend the Bills beat the Steelers in Pitts and made my night, Do it again but better. -
A bowling reference, I love it. In fact i have said that a few times myself, just 2 weeks a 150 bowler rolled 395 and then this week against us 675. BAGGER!

ROCKPILE REVIEW - Just Another Patriots Game
Stroke 17 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I seem to agree, the coaching staff seem to get a bit spooked when things aren't perfect. I need/ want the offense and Josh to get it up and passing again. If defenses have figured out the Bills offense then it is up to the coaching staff to figure out ways to get it done. With this QB and the receivers he now has he should be put into a position to be like other young QB and offenses in the league, On a final note, I want the Bills coaches to have a mentality that its never enough, always try to get more, kick em when they're down. I remember back in the 90's there was an older mild mannered grandmother who sat behind me, ( Sec H, Row 2, Aisle 2) no matter how many points the Bills were up, no matter how much time left in the game she would stand up and scream at the top of her lungs, "MORE POINTS< DAMIT< MORE POINTS" -
ROCKPILE REVIEW - Just Another Patriots Game
Stroke 17 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i am happy with the win, check that I am really f***ing happy with the win over the Pats and I dont care who is or is not on the team. Now, to my concern. the first three games of the season the offense seemed it couldn't be stopped. Receivers always seemed to be open and Josh seemed to find the the guy that was the most open. Josh seemed to be care free and playing like he was having fun slinging it around. Then when the team went to Tennessee it seemed to change. I sensed Josh had changed, he seemed hesitant, measured, and looked really serious unlike the happy go lucky guy of the early season. Just curious as to what others think? The offense and the passing game is not the same. Is it the play calling, the QB, the receivers or have defenses figured out the scheme. Something has changed. i want my early season offense back, where did it go? -
a few thoughts about the Chiefs game, in no particular order
Stroke 17 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see the same thing with Josh. seems like he lost that" football is fun " attitude. Last 2 games I have commented about he looks like he is going to work at a job he really doesn't like. As for the missed kick at the end of the half, why not call time out' get everybody set instead of rushing him on and attempting the long kick in those conditions. -
Vrabel will be the new Belichick
Stroke 17 replied to Southern Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the Bills will not remember. I have been saying for 25 years that the Bills do not put a team away when they are down. Playing nice and kneeling down only get you a shot in the a**. -
Gameday Thread PreGame Bills @ Titans
Stroke 17 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As the day goes on I am getting amped up. Just got invited to a watch party with fans of all different teams. Sorry can't do that, only my Bills homies allowed with me during Bills games. Don't need the negativity from the likes of other fans. Really starting to suffer some serious withdrawal not being able to go to the Stadium. Next Monday vs Chiefs will send me over the edge. It was bad enough missing a home opener for the 1st time in 43 years but seeing how this team is coming together and looking like the real deal I need to be part of it. -
Third Quarter Anemic Offense (Getting Better Every Week)
Stroke 17 replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I tried to make this point last week. My attempt was about deferring to getting the ball to start the 2nd half and basically laying an egg over the last few years. You have made my point better than I did. Thanks for the fact check. I salute you. -
With this Defense I agree that winning the toss and deferring is the right call. I may be wrong on this but without doing a lot of research it seems to me that the Bills did this a lot last year. That being said it also seems to me that the Bills have squandered the first possession of the 2nd half more times than not. When the 2nd half started yesterday I thought to myself that the Bills would do what I remembered from last year with the 2nd half kick, nothing. Playing the less than stellar Jets this did not matter yesterday but in closer games against better opponents this possession is critical to the success of this team. I hope this is not a sign of things to come. Being able to score at the end of the 1st half or holding a lead going in to half and then scoring with the 1st possession of the 2nd half can be a back breaker for an opponent or a boost to them if getting a 3 and out. Not trying to nit pick a win here but with last years playoff loss still stings. The Bills need to" kick em when they're down." no matter the score or the circumstances.

First time in 43 years not at home opener .Seeing my empty seat in Capaccio picture has me suffering serious withdrawal symptoms right now. Should be OK once they kick it off. GO BILLS!

Fan cut outs for Bills home games?
Stroke 17 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now that would be funny! -
Was there was cold, was prepared but I was not prepared for Sat in what was then Sec H. Row 2, Aisle 2 Seats 1,2,3,4. Went for beer just before the game started, put it on the ground by my seat, went for a drink, a layer of ice had formed on the top of the drink, chipped it off and it happened again. annoying, but OK. What happened next was the worst, when I went back to get another all the beer dispensers had froze and there was no more beer to be drunk, I did have a flask to keep a little warm and my wife wanted to mix with a little soda, Soda machines also froze. (Note, this was before the plastic bottles and cans we get now,) It was cold and now it was colder. Bills won, nothing warms a body like a Bills win or another warm body.

With all the heartbreaking Super Bowl losses and the playoff losses since i find it hard to feel bad for any other fan base' coach or any other single person trying to get a sports win. Marv Levy Jim Kelly and all of us Bills fans'' nobody ever felt sorry for us, we were and still are the butt of loser jokes. Sorry Andy Reid' can't feel for you or your fan base. .

Just as depressed today as I was Saturday and Sunday. 45 years season ticket hol;der and 55 year fan and am tired of waiting until next year. Seems no matter the coaches, no matter the players and no matter the game its just never good enough. I am just dead inside today. So many plays that could have, should have been made and wern't. Damn I'm pi$$*d. No guarantees we will be back next year. Schedule, injuries, bad bounces and more bad football. Sorry for all the negativity but its going to take some time to shake this one.

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - All Part of the Process
Stroke 17 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
there is a reason that the kick off team runs all the way to the end zone on a kick off. The reason is not for the exercise' it is in case the returner does something wrong like the Texans returner did. There is a reason finishing a play is coached' there is a reason you play to the whistle' the reason is because players make mistakes. The official in the end zone did not blow a whistle' did not wave the play off ' he got out of the way of the ball because he knew the returner did not do what the rule required. I guarantee belichik would have argued that he coaches his team to finish because some dont know the rules. He would have got his way and he would have been right. Sadly we are the Bills and Bills fans and once again waiting until next year. -
15 - My Win - I'm going to be very selfish here and talk about what made me smile as much as the win. We had a few obnoxious fans around us in the upper deck. Granted, an 8pm game gives people more time to pre-game and some special kind of people hang out in the decks and endzone, Bills games included. Sadly, there was one Bills fan a few rows ahead of us that was taunting a Steelers fan, and when they responded in kind, she tried to threaten him. She was obnoxious and I was sad to be associated with her as a fan. However, the real show was the row in front and back of me. One row up, four seats to my right was your typical mid-20's frat guy double fisting beers all game. When the Steelers scored their FG, he was giving everyone the middle finger yelling F- You Buffalo (another reason I will not bring my daughter to a regular season game until she's at least a teenager). He was like this on every good Steeler play. When Allen found Kroft in the endzone, he quitely put his head down and headed for the exit. Yes, he left that early and cowardly. The girl almost directly behind me was the real star of the show. She was everything I can't stand in a fair weather fan. She knew nothing about football, but talked like she did. Just wouldn't shut up the entire game, talking about the 1pm games and how the Rams could have possible lost, how every Steeler drive "They have to score here", and then after it was 10-7, she really found her groove. She kept talking about how dumb Bills fans were for thinking they could take over their stadium and the Steelers have the best traveling fan base in the NFL. She joined in the F-You Buffalo chant with my other friend in front of me. At one point, she even leaned forward to scream in my ear after a first down. Granted, the Bills fans cheered, sang the Shout Song, and did our Heeyyyy chant, but were never disrespectful as a group. I never turned to the girl or incited her throughout the entire game. When Hodges threw his 3rd interception, even with over 2 minutes to play and timeouts remaining, the stadium almost completely cleared out. The Bills fans around me any myself couldn't believe it. We knew we were just going to run the ball and probably punt it back, but the Steelers fans either can't do math or just gave up, because they left. It was insane. And in that moment, I turned around and sure enough, she was leaving. I locked dead on her eyes and couldn't help myself. "Hey, where you going? Is this the Steelers traveling well?" She looked right back at me and started crying. I couldn't help but laugh. Maybe I'm a bad fan, but it was 3 hours of her in my ear being obnoxious and no regard to anyone else. Watching her, and all the other Steelers fans do their walk of shame as we clinched our playoff birth felt amazing to me. It reminded me of why we have the best fans in the NFL and how far we've come. those obnoxious Steelers fans is everything I hate about the whole frigging organization. As they were leaving and I was soaking it all in my daughter said to me " Dad are you crying. " My reply was , maybe a little. Then i told her to look around at all the Bills fans and soak in this moment because this is what it b felt like in 1989 before we were thr real deal... Still smiling today..... GO BILLS!
