It could be daboll didn't want to interview as well, which had been rumored. The team takes the bad publicity and keeps the head coaching candidates appearance clean Different sport but when the sabres interview gms a few years ago they wanted to interview chris drury but the Rangers declined, later was revealed that he didn't want to interview for the job -
Frazier a “Serious Candidate” for Texans HC gig.

This is why I think its perfect for Frazier Whats the downside for Frazier? Looking at a worst case scenario: He is probably looking at retirement in the next 5 years or so. Take a head coaching job get a contract for 4 or 5 years for a guaranteed 15 to 20 million. If it is utter disaster and is fired still gets paid a nice retirement income maybe a year or 2 earlier than expected. -

Another year with allen might propel him into head coaching discussions -
The headline is a lot worse than the article Its a bad look to answer the questions publicly but I'm sure these discussions have happened in buffalo in green Bay and in Tampa as well. With the pandemic its less of a story because no one really knows what will happen with a huge championship win Now if this was said in a normal year, yeah major bulletin board material
