  1. The bills will have a harder time grabbing undrafted free agents this season so I could see beane wanting more 6th or 7th round picks to stash on the practice squad rather than a 5th rounder who would have a higher chance of a team putting in a wavier claim
  2. Ok now that makes more sense in that context. Thanks
  3. Does this mean that other picks in this draft the player wasn't the best guy on their board? Because why mention it?
  4. In my opinion it should be a wake up call to Oliver. He obviously won't be cut but with back to back picks that can generate pressure from the 3 tech. Oliver isn't guaranteed his 5th year. Might be a 4 years then out
  5. Putting ed oliver on notice in my opinion He is more a 3 tech than outside rusher
  6. One player was drafted in the top 15, one was drafted at 30 One was needed to start and contribute right away, one is hopeful he develops into a starter If Rousseau was drafted as high as maybin I could see the comparison but expectations play a huge roll in being a bust
  7. If Rousseau is ready and shows well in camp, I could see the bills going leaner on defensive tackle Add in that the bills have been able to find production from practice squad and wavier wire pick ups at defensive tackle Kind of a lets keep the most talent and see how it goes, if it isn't working look to pick someone up
  8. He interviews very well Spots were you can tell he is repeating things he was coached to say but a lot of it is he is just personable and relatable Love how generally happy he appears
  9. Guy had a ton of sacks his last year he played. I like that aspect Wasn't a fan of the highlights ESPN showed Overall seems like a pick where if they hit on it could be a championship winning pick, if they miss its not the end of the world. Seems like a solid gamble to make
  10. Rodgers must have felt the 49ers offer was a fair price
  11. If the bills go running back in the first, I'm going to believe that the bills front office motto when it comes to the draft is speak the truth, why lie. The bills tell the truth who they like majority will think its a smoke screen anyways
  12. If there ever was a draft where you want immediate production and contributions. A draft where you draft more for the now rather than 3 years from now. Its this one, less in person scouting coupled with limited cap space. A team that has super bowl aspirations and little cap space could very well be looking at the draft as an extension of free agency To put it in perspective if a running back with etienne's abilities was a free agent what would his salary and cap hit be vs what it will be as a late first rounder?
  13. People saying smoke screen, haven't the players the bills were interested in the past few drafts all leaked the days leading up to the draft? Even mid round guys
  14. Its a creepy response. Like wtf you talking about bub
  15. Id the draft fell the way king has it, my first choice would be to trade down Not against drafting an rb but think the difference between him and an rb the bills could get say 10 spots lower is similar value. While picking up a mid round pick
  16. I always figured its because they are technically NFL employees not the individual franchise employee
  17. Might be the only guy I would agree an organization and staff ruined but it was an expansion team which is a unique situation He even was offered starting jobs after the Texans but always chose to sign with teams he would be a back up (believe there was a rumor the bills tried to sign him to be a starter) But yeah david Carr got royally screwed and put into a losing situation and probably was scared away from playing football
  18. Losman in todays nfl would be a lot better suited to succeed I don't believe that a coaching staff or organization can ruin a player but they sure as hell can set a player back a few years development wise. Example Ryan tannehill
  19. Good move by the NFL, encourages vaccination while not turning its back on those that are hesitant or don't want it currently
  20. Only skimmed the first couple pages but I wonder if dropped interceptions correlate with pass attempts? So 4 of the top 5 in dropped interceptions were in the top 6 in pass attempts (brees being the one that isn't in the top 6) Edit: The dropped interceptions stat would need to become a percentage of passes because its obvious that a QB who throws the ball more will have more Edit 2: looking at the Twitter looks like the non percentage tweets were to strictly drum up clicks/likes/retweets
  21. A friend in a group chat mentioned this, I felt it was necessary to check out all her social media and really get an understanding on her opinion and where its coming from
  22. Screams tactic to get more people vaccinated when demand is dropping, it should work or at least get people interested into it again. Which is a good thing With that said I do expect that you will need to show some proof to enter, how easy it will be to fake this proof is another question entirely
