11/14/21 Gameday Thread: Bills at Jets First Half

The offense is over rated -
My actual belief is I don't think this coaching staff is comfortable coaching a favorite and the game day decision-making shows that to me. Some of the game day roster decisions seem to be made according to the opponent (not playing epenesa against the titans) or the in game choices of kicking 20 yard fgs in the first quarter give the opponents little victories and give them confidence especially against a weaker team like the jags on the road.
-
I still think the bills should beat the Titans and I will admit I am biased against the titans as I will always think they are a trash team with a trash head coach a trash qb, trash offensive linemen, and trash defense. Nothing will ever change my mind The Miami game was won based on pure talent level The jags game was very similar to the phins game. Except instead of hitting on the individual plays that would have won us the game like we did against Miami, we didn't against the jags I have no reason not to believe they will correct and fix the issues currently plaguing the team but it is becoming a trend and that should start to raise some flags

are the bills just trying to get to the playoffs to open up the play book a bit more/ keep guys as healthy as possible? This season has seen a drop in pre snap motions and any sort of slant passes/crossing routes over the middle
-
The team kind of reminds me of the 06-07 sabres team. Super talented but if you watched them all season something was just off. Turns out that team lacked the physicality and toughness needed for playoff hockey This bills team is super talented but something has been off all year

My conspiracy is that the league has directed the refs to call the better teams tighter in the 1st quarter/1st half in games where its projected to be a blow out in order to keep the games as close and entertaining as long as possible. It's been 2 games in a row where in the first half the bills a double digit favorite seem to get called for just about everything early but then the second half gets called a bit more evenly Great example is the tre white flag on the opening drive, no idea how you single one guy out in that situation

It hasn't been just one game though We have been out played and out coached the last 3 games

Bills Classless Again [Edit: FinHeaven message board]
Cheektowaga Chad replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I bet if you asked a number of bills fans who they were rooting for in that 2001 super bowl between the rams and pats you'll find a solid number say pats Lesson, everyone loves an underdog. In the beginning when a new team starts winning everyone loves them. Its the constant winning that turns a team into the villain -
The “math” of going for 2 makes no sense

Original poster generally seemed curious as to the base thought process, I tried my best to just deliver the base ideas -

Your last line is what my last line is Yes each individual event is a 50/50, but as you add events probabilities/odds/chances do change The odds of flipping a coin 5 times and getting heads each time is something like 3%. I was trying to simplify a mathematical conversation on a football message board -
Trubisky is honestly the perfect back up for this team but if he is traded cam isn't a terrible option If your back up has to play the rest of the season/playoffs your season is over with anyway no matter who your back up is The bills are near the point where to win a super bowl you want a back up QB to be able to win 1.5 playoff games (my opinion). I think Newton is a good option for that, not because he is good or will win us the games but because he can play a style and have a set game plan ready to go mid game. He gets into the game you go ball control, power sets QB run runs, short passes and you try to win the game by 3pts. Like the style of play fits the rest of the team(defense&special teams) I would much rather keep trubisky but I see the reasoning behind newton being a solid option

Trade allen for a boat load, build up the lines even more and really become a super bowl contender -

His name is Nick W. Bills fans do not like Nick W's -
Is that all they save on the cap by trading him? Thought he was like an 8-10 mil cap hit Not my first choice either but if I had to pick a qb between Webb/fromm/newton to win a playoff game playing 3.5 quarters because your starting QB is out for the rest of the game, I don't have much faith in scoring any points with a webb or fromm led offense

Mahomes doesn't look good Way too much talk about needing to go through all the reads. Thats not something you hear about from a rodgers or Brady

Is it still a hot take that mahomes has been figured out?
