Hot Take: Does Bobby Babich Lose His Job?
Cheektowaga Chad replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
This was year one of building a more aggressive defense All year defenders gave up angles of sure or more sure tackles to get better angles on the ball. They were going for turnovers over tackles Get some talent where they can legitimately play man to man more often and an actual threat at edge -
Bishop looked solid Sunday but let's be honest if elam and Hamlin weren't on the field he would have gotten targeted Why target bishop when you got elam and Hamlin on the field. It made mahomes job incredibly easy

Next year's roster needs a starting safety, two corners, a pass rush and speed/separation at receiver Personally would love to create a trade package around Groot and picks for a Maxx Crosby or Myles Garrett

Is it time to move on from McDermott?
Cheektowaga Chad replied to Monty98's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've wanted to move on from McDermott since the Houston texan playoff game collapse This is the first year I don't want to A lot of previous year issues I've had with McDermott disappeared, the team played a complimentary football style where the defense and special teams complimented the offense for the first time in his tenure This was a reset year, a lot of the issues we saw last night were due to inexperienced coordinators and a general lack of actual talent on the team - 1 second team all pro and what 2 pro bowlers -
With the raiders hiring of Pete Carroll, I doubt they are looking at a multi year rebuild in Las Vegas In other words I doubt he is still considered available

The bills had the ball with the chance to win on the road with 3 minutes left and 3 time outs left I'll continue to take that situation in AFC championship games, that's a spot Allen and the bills will win the majority of times

Is it time to move on from McDermott?

This was googles ai response - just copy and pasted for you Mike McCarthy's tenure with the Dallas Cowboys, while marked by some success, was also criticized for lack of playoff success, particularly in crucial moments, and issues with team discipline and consistency. Specifically, some of the reasons cited for criticisms of McCarthy's coaching include: Lack of Playoff Success: Despite a winning record and multiple playoff appearances, McCarthy's Cowboys struggled to progress deep into the playoffs, failing to capitalize on their regular season success. Discipline and Penalties: The Cowboys consistently ranked among the most penalized teams in the league under McCarthy's leadership, highlighting a perceived lack of discipline and focus on the field. In-Game Decision-Making: Some questioned McCarthy's in-game adjustments and decision-making, particularly in critical situations, leading to losses and missed opportunities. Inability to Develop Young Talent: While the Cowboys had talent, some questioned McCarthy's ability to fully develop and utilize young players to their potential, leading to inconsistent performances. Lack of Consistency: The Cowboys often displayed inconsistency in their play, both within games and across seasons, contributing to a feeling of underachievement under McCarthy's guidance. Coaching Style: Some argued that McCarthy's coaching style wasn't conducive to maximizing the talent on the team or fostering a winning culture. In essence, while McCarthy led the Cowboys to a winning record and playoff appearances, the team's lack of deep playoff runs, persistent discipline issues, and overall inconsistency led to criticism and ultimately, a parting of ways. -
Is it time to move on from McDermott?

Who can you hire tomorrow that would be an improvement? Who tomorrow can guarantee a chance at the super bowl next season? People want to change a coach because McDermott is wasting Allen's career, but if you fire him and hire a brand new coach you likely set the franchise up to rebuild for two years to get that coaches players in The time to move on would have been last season when the bills entered this "rebuild", not now The bills NEED talent, they lack talent at nearly every position besides QB rb and offensive line -

I agree with that -

This isn't the year to move on from McDermott The bills were a young/ inexperienced team. Really weren't expected to be as good as they were. This was never supposed to be the Superbowl season (that's the next two seasons) Might have been his best coaching season Get some experience and more talent at the positions of need - safety, corner, pass rusher , and pass catcher -

I've heard the same Which means this would be considered reverse line movement, which is generally bad news for the bills fans/bills bettors -
Legitimate Concern With Officiating This Weekend?
Cheektowaga Chad replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just to play devil's advocate - I mean if the league needed a ref to change a game in the favor of the chiefs after all the talk this week Blakeman is the guy, no one will question it because of his history -
How aggressive do you want McDermott to be on Sunday?
Cheektowaga Chad replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm generally a go for the win, it's two yards. The team is built around the offense But really depends on the game script At 27-26, that means the bills were likely getting some stops, was it a complete comeback like the chiefs only scored 7 or less points in the second half, where it was punt after punt? Or was it turnovers that got the bills back Like I see both as reasonable But I would go for two either way, josh Allen is the best player on the field put it in his hands -
There was a point in the game against the lions where you could hear the confusion of the fans as to what was happening on the field Please give me that sound Sunday at roughly 7:05pm

Wouldn't worry too much about the flu, the drugs these teams can shoot players up with it won't even matter -
If the jags had done this three weeks ago, they would have gotten any coach they wanted
