Matt araiza is a rookie punter, he is young and AT BEST put himself in a terrible position and made some dumb decisions that could have derailed his professional career With that said why are fans/people so upset he might get cut because of this? being cut might be the best out come for the guy

What if Matt Barkley is our punter full time? If you have him as punter how does the defense line up? If they play as a normal down no is back there to receive allowing him to get a punt off, if they drop a guy back to catch it, the offense should have a mis match

If you are a football team going into a brand new season and your thoughts on your punter are "he may cost us a game or 2" that guy needs to be cut I don't think our punter will have that amount of pull on this team to cost us anything

I still think blackshear is on the practice squad Every team has their own version of an undrafted or late round rookie like blackshear. If you are claiming a guy you are expecting that player to contribute and contribute quickly which is a tough task for anyone let alone a rookie Duke Johnson is much more likely to get claimed in my opinion
