  1. I imagine every indoor/dome stadium will be at the top of the list then it would go to warm weather cities Is it possible to run games at a stadium on back to back nights? Would the field be too beat up? Say nfc championship Sunday/Monday then the afc championship the other day? With a week off between championship games and super bowl the day difference wouldn't be the biggest deal
  2. Actually surprised by how fair the outcome of this is for a league that constantly puts it's self first and in the lime light Only thing that sucks is the Bengals coin flip scenario but then again if you get swept by a division opponent then maybe it is deserved
  3. Both games would be in buffalo Canceling the week 17 game has the bills and bengals both at 16 games played and no need to adjust or work anything out
  4. So to summarize Chiefs benefit with best chance at a bye and not having to go on the road Bills don't get help but also not completely screwed over Bengals get screwed over completely - chance they have to coin flip for chance at home field in the wild card round as a division winner, likely have to go on the road in the divisional round and then at best get a neutral site afc championship game lol
  5. Maybe I'm too much of a conspiracy theorist but moving the conference championship game to a neutral site opens up the league to always have it at a neutral site Imagine having a final four type situation for the NFL, both conference championship games in the same location and then the super bowl the following weekend That is straight money for the league
  6. I really hope they announce the medical and training staff and have them run out of the tunnel before sunday's game
  7. What would the league do/ how would they handle it if they knew this would happen before week 1? With the knowledge you couldn't reschedule or want to reschedule There is potential a solution when you look strictly how the league makes the schedule Teams play 1 cross conference division in full, 1 in conference division in full and then the corresponding finishing positions of the other 2 in conference division to go along with 2 games against your own division So my proposal would be to eliminate the corresponding games for the chiefs and ravens that resulted the Bills Bengals game was The bills Bengals was the 1st place vs 1st place game against the divisions set to play each other So the Chiefs would eliminate the Titans game (1st place vs in conference division the afc west was playing) and the ravens would eliminate their game against the jets (4th place vs the in conference division the afc north played )
  8. Yeah bye all day Plus there's only one team you would have to go on the road to play out of 6 possibilities
  9. Took me a minute but at first I thought you meant Chris Kelsey and was like when did he ever play in the playoffs for the bills, didn't think he was on that 1999 squad
  10. I'm sure both McDermott and Taylor will win some Espy this summer
  11. I fully expect a handful of players not to nor want to play this weekend
  12. Heavy dislike if this is what happens So buffalo gets to play for a chance at a bye mean while every other team has a bye Just give me the 3rd seed at that point and we will go scorched earth in the playoffs
  13. If the league goes that route, the game that everyone was excited to watch Monday and the game that would be played will look vastly different In my opinion it would look a lot more like a pre season game combined with the pro bowl When it comes to the playoffs every team wants home field but home field takes a back seat to health
  14. If the NFL scheduled it that way and put the bills in primetime, I hope both teams just take turns kneeling the entire game
  15. Question for the playoffs what is the most important thing to get to the super bowl? Is it home field? Is it a healthy roster? Is it something else? I happen to believe it's a healthy roster - having to play 3 games in 10 to 12 days doesn't lead to a healthy roster
  16. "Canceling" or simply not counting the chiefs raiders game is an easy way to even the playing field for bills chiefs but doesn't do much for Bengals ravens who the division is still potentially up for grabs
  17. I could have sworn they came up for COVID rules for this season as well but I can't find them And one of the rules was that they would go by win percentage or they would dump the 17th game (extra inter conference game) of teams involved in tie breaks
  18. Both teams had 16 weeks to gain home field to say they never had a shot isn't right Moving the game to the week after week 18 gives the 5 other playoff teams a direct advantage over the Bills and Bengals
  19. Personally rather just forfeit if the choice is between pushing the game 2 weeks and forfeit So potentially the Bills and Bengals are the only teams not to get a bye week heading round 1? Seems like a disadvantage
  20. I mean the chiefs raiders in a vacuum really only matters for draft position for the raiders Why not just tell the chiefs that week 18 won't matter for them in regards to seeding so that they can have a off week/bye heading into the playoffs but also allows the bills to try and get the one seed without having to make up the Bengals game
  21. That means this is probably the worst case scenario
  22. They got a hold of the bills old Joe webb package and want to use it
