Teams and agents are going to have to get creative with their deals. I can see lots of teams signing players to two year deals as opposed to 1 year contracts. Year 1 has a small hit with more bonus money then year two the hit goes up.

Jefferson and Butler look obvious with their low dead number. I’d add a year to Browns deal lowering his 2021 hit. Addison is a possibility but the 4 million dead money might keep him here another season.

I can’t argue with people that want to cut him. He’s extremely replaceable. Either way i don’t care what they do with him.

I’d take a flyer in John Ross. We can’t afford big names this off-season most likely so Beane will have to get creative.

Obviously could release some guys like Addison, Jefferson, Butler etc. They can also add a year on to some players deals like Brown, Diggs and move some bonus money around to lesson the hit for 2021. Either way it’s going to be a challenging off season for Beane.

It’s going to be very hard for Buffalo to sign any of their own guys unless they release a slew of players like Brown, Butler, Addison, Jefferson, maybe even Morse and restructure Diggs again to lesson his hit in 2021. Very challenging off season coming up for Beane. FYI Spotrac has Buffalo projected at -5 million cap space right now but that could change once the official number comes out.
