He’s a diva but he outworks everyone in the building. Who cares about twitter and stuff? This is the guy if you want to take this offense to another level.

Drue Tranquill, Anthony Walker Jr., Devin Bush, and Rashaan Evans are the only sub-age 30 guys left who fit with legit starter upside. I like Tranquill or Walker best. Otherwise, you are probably looking at the draft.

Now does Poyer reach out to his old Oregon State teammates Brandin Cooks and Issac Seumalo and do some recruiting?
-
I'm guessing maybe there were hints they were into him, until they trade for Ramsey and they changed course.

It was always a great fit and a no-brainer for him to come back. I'm glad it worked out.

Jake is actually younger than Bennett.

I think they aren't quite available, and I would add that we have no draft capital and there are other teams with needs at WR who have like 12 picks. Unless those guys force their way to Buffalo or we give up Rd1, I just don't think it is likely. I have zero evidence or anything. Just my gut on it.

Gotcha. There isn't much point drafting really anybody at WR at that point in that case. Maybe middle rounds. I know some people hate it, but I really feel like the only avenue is OBJ. I think the Evans, Hopkins, and Juedy stuff just aren't happening.

This is what a lot of people were talking about in terms of the window. Next offseason Tee Higgins, Logan Wilson, Tyler Boyd and DJ Reader are free agents, then in 2025 Trey Hendrickson, Joe Mixon, BJ Hill, Mike Hilton, and of course Burrow become free agents as well. They haven't paid Burrow yet. They are in some trouble imo.

Their WR 5 is going to be a gunner. Is that Justin Watson or Mack Hollins or something? Maybe. But I think they have to add 1 more legit receiver, and that's would have to be via draft or OBJ or Hopkins and then they will add a WR5 who plays special teams imo. McKenzie would basically be scratched on game day in this scenario. That's why he is gone imo.

People wanted offensive weapons. This guy has upside and instantly becomes the fastest player on the team. I still think they need to add an OBJ type of guy, but no one should be upset at this. If KC really was bidding on him, that's a great sign. Cut McKenzie and you subtract like 3 million off this in my mind.

Let me just add, with the run-blocking stuff. McGovern's footwork looks a little sloppy to me, but I think that is something that Kromer can definitely fix. If you watch his Penn State highlights, he is crushing people and run blocking was his strength. I know college vs the NFL, but it passes the eye test for me.
