He's much better than the rotating bodies of last year. Not the monster 1 the we all want, but there is no risk in these one-year deals, especially since he is a release and not a comp pick guy.

Someone mentioned Ryan Stonehouse. The Titans are not tendering him and he would be a great get. Nice competition between him and Camarda would be great, though I think if you add Stonehouse he becomes the instant starter.

As long as he adds defensive tackles and a legit starting corner, they can go into the draft and really go BPA. That would be refreshing.

Basically, there are three options... 1. He could be the missing piece who will make things better pass rush-wise and hopefully help make Greg better and put us over the top. 2. He's a washed-up steroid using guy whose probably going to get injured and he doesn't like the cold. 3. He's a JAG at this point, solid player but does not move the needle. Choose your destiny! Very good chance one of those is the outcome.

I am a fullback guy, but they don't use him and that's why I feel this contract is a little steep for a special teams player. I know its only 2 million, but its probably a million dollars too expensive. It's fine, and he is totally fine, but they give all of his offensive snaps to Alec Anderson. I'd like to see them use Gilliam more on offense.

Give me Samuel and Dalvin Tomlinson or Greg Gaines or Raekwon Davis and pack it in for the spring.

Zero risk here. Basically replacing Von. I do like that he chose to be here over playing with his brother. Perhaps he wants to win. McDermott rotation will help him.

Jonathan Jones or maybe Adoree Jackson as older stopgaps. Asante Samuel Jr, Jeff Okudah, Benjamin St Juste…young guys with upside. To me after those guys I don’t see a lot of true competition out there. They cannot roll with Elam

There are a number of 1 techs still out there and other depth guys who can help on defensive line. I could see Jones cut if they signed a guy like Dalvin Tomlinson. In terms of safety, I think they are going to roll with those guys. Not saying I agree with it, but it seems so. The position has dried up a bit so if they are going to bring in competition, I would hope it’s someone who could actually start. Justin Simmons, Reyshawn Jenkins, Marcus Epps, Julian Blackmon, Jordan Fuller…to me outside of those guys, there aren’t really anymore guys out there who would be true competition imo.
