I think this draft is showing a commitment to improving their red zone offense. Between Kincaid, a monster sized guard and a monster sized wideout? That plays imo.

Who knows what a reach is really? A lot of people here were mocking antonio johnson in the first round and he’s still there. So none of us have any idea what teams boards look like. I thought he’d go later based on what the reports were saying, but the reports were wrong I guess.

I like Kiper, just some of his evaluations feel like he got them from the guy’s agent.

Yeah DJ is the guy I trust the most. His evaluations never seem to be connected to any bias, which you see with McShay and Kiper.

I don’t think anyone should voluntarily go back and watch that game.

If Spector gets a little thicker, I like his chances. I don’t see why Williams can’t play there. McDermott’s word kind of imply that Dodson is the guy. He and Klein have the most experience in the defense.

I am guessing Justin Shorter is on their list somewhere. They seem super interesting...maybe he is an UDFA. Former 5 star recruit. 6-4, 229. Long arms, huge hands. 4.55 forty.

I like the pick. I just don’t like what Beane said about his usage, but there is huge upside there. I love what Riddick was saying about the kid. I know we will never know, but I am super curious what their linebacker rankings looked like.

He basically said “we will keep him where he is at.” I think we will see some Rapp in nickel/dime but Milano is going to stay in the spot he has been in imo. Everyone else will move around him. It doesn’t make sense to move him from where he has excelled to accommodate lesser players….downgrading two spots in the process.

Beane emphatically stated about a month ago that Matt Milano will not be moved. That is just a made up message board thing.

I think there is a better chance that Spector is that guy who bulked up as he apparently spent the entire offseason at the facility. We will see how it shakes out. Maybe they truly think Dodson can step up.

Yeah I agree l. And I do like Williams. What sours things for me is that Beane already basically said he won’t be the mike. So I don’t understand the why part of this deal and why there are baically writing him off as Milano’s backup and a special teams guy. Say “we believe he can play mike and we will give him a shot in camp.” Then I can buy this.

This feels a little bit like a forced pick. Maybe they were hoping to grab on of those other linebackers and then there was that mini run and they locked into taking a linebacker. There is zero chance he was BPA, whereas the other two picks felt like BPA. I don’t hate the pick…I hate the idea that they have already decided he’s really not going to be in the mix to play next to Milano. What’s the point? I’m actually hoping the come away with Noah Sewell later who can actually slot in at Mike.

Yeah he isn’t my favorite. But I get why they like him and he will push to start. In the first round I would have hated it. Here it is totally worth the risk. To me he has quiet feet, his pass pro is very patient and I think that is why he looks slow.

In the second round I love it. I was thinking Sanders/Simpson/Hyatt but clearly they had their choice and they wanted Torrence, and those guys are still available. It’s a different look, but if Beane wants to make the line bigger and more nasty, this works.

Aside from the fact that they had to jump Dallas, who knows if a team like Cincinnati or something may have been able to jump Dallas as well. A very late 4th is bot a big deal to give up. They also have a pick at 137, so they had two picks in a cluster. They still have a pick in that area.

Dont hate it. Perry is interesting.

I think we have a good chance of getting two solid players. Maybe I’m too optimistic.

Add Nick Broeker, OT/G, Ole Miss to the list in the third. Seems like the kind of guy they would like. LT convert who can play guard or center.
