  1. Lets get this thing moving guys. Virgil not here to move it along.
  2. He probably likes ranch too.
  3. Curious about the conditional 1st.
  4. It’s probably a lazy comparison by me, but I see some Diggs in Rakim Jarrett. Similar size, speed and profile and former 5 star guy.
  5. Yeah I get it…The original point was that some of these big time recruits suffered in their development because of covid, and my point was that in a very weak draft, it makes sense to play that upside. Mitch Mustain didn’t have to deal with covid, so the comparisons here are moot. Ofcourse there are misses every class.
  6. Honestly, in a draft like this, grabbing those former 5 star recruits isn't the worst way to do business. Play the risk reward game. Bryan Bresee, Drew Sanders, Gervon Dexter, Trenton Simpson, Wanya Morris, Zach Harrison, Justin Shorter... Anyway here is an article with all the 5 star guys in this draft: https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2023-nfl-draft-former-five-star-recruits-bryce-young-jalen-carter-will-anderson-jr
  7. Same as last year, it seems that no one knows what we are doing, which is a good thing. Mocks are all over the place.
  8. Not quite after the game...but that win against the Vikings, Peerless Price caught that pass from Drew Bledsoe in 2002, was the last game I did not "watch." Listening to that game on the radio inspired me to to get directv and Sunday ticket.
  9. Charlie Campbell updated his mock. I know I know...but he is a pretty accurate mocker. He has us going: 1 - Torrence 2 - Gervon Dexter 3 - Zach Pickens 4- Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson 5- OT Ryan Hayes 6 - Ivan Pace Jr. So he has us doubling up on o-line and d-line which does make some sense. Walter has us taking: 1 - Gibbs 2 - Musgrave 3 - Tippmann 4 - Pickens 5 - Jayden Reed 6 - Tank Dell
  10. He isn't my favorite prospect, but I feel like he catches the ball so well it isn't a concern. I am more concerned about size/speed/explosiveness.
  11. Fun article if you liek comps:
  12. https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/accuracy/mock-drafts.php King is 35th in accuracy
  13. It would be awesome to have a QB named Hooker playing in Vegas.
  14. Yeah don't love a slot guy there. Nice explosion and speed, but it's the definition of meh. For me, my "no's" in the first round are typically: RTs IOL - Zack Martin/Quentin Nelson level players are the exception Non elite slot WRs without standout traits blocking TEs Run defensing edge guys who don't get sacks Nose tackles RBs other than Saquon/Bijan level guys small/short QBs To me Downs is a non elite smaller slot with meh traits. If he's running in the 4.3s it's a different story at that size.
  15. With pick #2 of the mock draft 3.0, the Houston Texans select Will Anderson Jr., Edge, Alabama The rumor on the block is that the Texans may skip quarterback here. Now that might just mean they don't love CJ Stroud and are looking to trade down a spot of two. With rumors that Nick Caserio could be out, it could also be Bills circa 2017 who decided to punt QB to next year. It seems the Texans wanted Bryce Young, but with him gone, perhaps they wait on Caleb Williams, etc. For the purposes of making this draft different from the first two we completed here in which Young and Stroud went 1-2, I am going with the rumor. At any rate, I love Anderson and feel the Texans may be getting the best player in the draft. It came down to Anderson and Carter for me here, but I felt that Anderson could be a cornerstone piece for DeMeco Ryans and his defense. He brings a dangerous and rugged style to that attacking defense. While Anderson doesn't have an elite measurable physical trait, his elite trait is that he is a really good football player, who, though it feels like he has been around forever, at the age of 21, he has room to get better. He can play end or stand-up OLB in Ryans' hybrid defensive system. @NeverOutNick and the Cardinals are now on the clock @Virgil
  16. Texans, Eagles, Chargers
  17. Watching McDermott’s presser, when he describes what he is looking for in a mike, he described all the characteristics that Jack Campbell has. And Campbell is probably one of the only guys in the draft with those traits. He even made a mini joke about football instincts. Then he was asked about Campbell training with Kuechly and he smirked with a 💩 eating grin and said he hasn’t spoken to Luke. So either McDermott has suddenly become an amazing actor or he really likes Campbell. Now I am not necessarily saying they will target him in the first round or whatever. I just don’t see any scenario in which they don’t love that guy. He is exactly what they want, a guy who is in the right place, who gets everyone lined up, wears the dot, is a leader on the defense and communicates. Just my 2 cents. Not an actual rumor.
  18. I still think it’s going to be one of the four receivers or defense.
  19. I agree with this. Just to kind of put a bow on it, drafting a developmental RT prospect in the first round is insanity.
  20. Gaines is a tough call. He was good his first two years, not top 5 overall pick good, but decent sack production. Then he fell off and dies at 26.
  21. I remember Bills fans being obsessed with Darron Lee. Justin Hunter is another. I am shocked that Brady Quinn didn’t make it. I thought he was a sure thing. I also thought DeShone Kizer would be good. I wanted Joey Harrington bad. I still think he could have made it if he went to a better situation. I loved Jake Locker.
  22. I think it is a combination of both, its all about projection, but if a guy is too slow, he likely can’t hang. But I agree games take precedent.
