  1. Even watching him at the combine throwing on air, many of his throws would have been picks in the NFL. This guy is a bigger Nate Peterman with tiny hands.
  2. Good points. The way I see it is that this is a good team. They have a quarterback and a game breaking player like OBJ. They were awful last year because they had no depth and OBJ got hurt. Their line was terrible and their coach was an idiot. They lost a number of very close games, plus they started Geno Smith!!! in an actual NFL game. They could have easily been 8-8 or 9-7. They aren't that far off and aren't your typical top five picking team. If Gettelman wants to take the opportunity to really build a skilled and deep team who can compete this year, he trades down. If he feels like he needs to take the opportunity to get the next franchise quarterback he stays at two, but he is punting the rest of Eli's career. I could see arguments for both sides for sure.
  3. Great points all the way around. It makes sense for him to stay put and take 1 of the blue chippers in Chubb or Barkley. I suppose the way I see it, he could get Davenport at 12, LVE at 22 to play inside with Ogeltree, and one those other backs Michel, Chubb or whomever in the second round, plus he would have one of our second rounders as well.
  4. Agreed. You don't use the #2 pick on a quarterback when you already have one and you and he expect him to play for 2-3 more years. I know people will say Aaron Rodgers blah blah, but the dude fell in their lap late in the first round. This situation is totally different and kind of unprecedented. I can't remember a time in which a team had a true franchise quarterback and drafted his replacement in the top five of a draft. You would be effectively folding on the Manning era, and that makes no sense to me. If the Giants don't use the pick to trade down or to get help for Manning in the form of Barkley, Nelson, or even Chubb, they are making a poor decision imo. With their 3-4 switch and holes on their roster, they should trade down.
  5. Boy I hope they don't feel forced to do anything. But you are probably right that they are going to get a quarterback here no matter what.
  6. I agree, but my only issue is that they won't be able to afford both of those guys when their rookie deals are up. That said, if they win a Super Bowl over the next four years, none of it matters.
  7. You forgot Mason Rudolph - GOAT
  8. Anyone have a guess on what type of 40 Jackson is expected to run? I mean if he runs like a 4.3 and throws the ball well, then what?
  9. I think Jackson is #3 on their board and if they can't get one of their top 2, they will take him. My best guess is they love Darnold. They like either Rosen or Allen, not both. #3 is Jackson. My completely made up Bills Board: 1. Darnold 2. Rosen or Allen...have no idea which one but guessing they love one and not the other 3. Jackson Being at 12 puts them in striking distance which allows them to trade up if their guy (Rosen or Allen either gets to 4, or is passed on by the Broncos). If quarterbacks go 1,2,3 and their guy is gone, then they can draft Jackson. I don't love him at 12 or 22 really, but 22 wouldn't bother me too much.
  10. Browns gotta take Barkley here
  11. Because Giants already have one. They could plug holes on their team and be in the Super Bowl next year. Drafting a quarterback is punting on Eli Mannings career. They could get the Bills pick next year, that is looking like it might be pretty high. But my biggest point is don't just take a guy to take a guy. Get the franchise changing player, otherwise it is a wasted draft pick. Gotta move the needle and neither of these guys do. They aren't better than what we already have.
  12. This. Neither of these guys move the needle and neither become your "franchise" quarterback. Could they be eventually? Sure. I don't think that is what Brandon Beane or ownership, or anyone else is looking for. Go get Darnold, Rosen, or if you can't then Allen.
  13. Leodis as a returner was pretty entertaining. He was either going get a nice return or fumble the ball. T-K-O was the man. He was my favorite player for a while.
  14. I'm guessing Allen since Woody Johnson is Donald Trump's neighbor. Plus, Allen is the player who is most similar to the last quarterback prospect they completely whiffed on. Allen is miles better though.
  15. Our mock draft should go our way!!! It's still great fun and good practice. Plus a lot of other mock drafts have us trading to #2.
  16. Just guessing and speculating, but I assume that Beane is hanging tight to that 2019 first. He might see this year as more of the rebuild "tank" type year and that 2019 pick could be a very high one. He clearly was not expecting us to play well this year and our playoff run affected our picks. I'm very happy with making the playoffs, but Beane has a little bit of an uphill battle to get to teh top. At the end of teh day, that 2019 pick is kind of expendable when we have like 90 million in cap. Gotta find a way to make it happen.
  17. I see Rosen as a "get the ball out quick" guy. He is likely going to take sacks, especially behind our line. My hope is that he is smart enough to read coverages and to know where to go with the football pre snap. Out of all the top guys, he will be the least creative in terms of improvising. I don't think improvising is going to be a requirement in the E-P system. I've had enough improv quarterbacking for a lifetime. I'd prefer the guy who hangs in the pocket and throws that wide open dig that we've been missing the last few years.
  18. He used to be more of an outlier, think outside the box guy. But now he gets wind of what scouts are thinking and magically changes his board up. He didn't do that before.
  19. I know I hear you. It is possible. It is just unlikely is all I'm saying. I'm not banking on those odds.
  20. I really think people need to stop using Dan Marino and Tom Brady as examples. These are outliers and one in a million. Using them as examples to back up a point of view doesn’t really say anything. It happened, but that doesn’t make it probable. It’s once in a lifetime stuff. Should the Bills sign the guy bagging my groceries because Kurt Warner? It makes no sense. Im not trying to be a jerk, but this drives me crazy.
  21. Welcome! Can't wait for this draft. It's going to be a long month. Have you heard of Mason Rudolph? If not you are about to, so enjoy. He's the next Tom Brady. Even looks like him.
  22. We have no idea what happened. Maybe the cost went up and Ballard asked us for more and it went over the amount Beane was willing to pay. I love the fact that Beane doesn't seem willing to overpay, but in this instance maybe he should have. At the end of the day, trading to 3 simply guarantees you the third best quarterback. But I do like that Beane seems to have brass balls and is going to stick to his guns. Bills fans, take solace in the fact that the Jets will 100% f this up. There is no way they get this right.
  23. 1. That we should have drafted Mason Rudolph at 12 to get in front of the Jaguars who draft him in the third. 2. That Tyrod is so much better than whoever we drafted. 3. Mason Rudolph blah blah Baker Mayfield blah blah
  24. Wait so are we going to call him rich spoiled brat who wants to pick and choose where he gets to go? The horror!
