  1. He is nothing special. Extremely ordinary. Read his and Nate Peterman’s draft profile on NFL.com and you will see that Nate got a slightly higher pre draft grade. They are the same level of prospects and we are looking for something special, not Bryce Petty.
  2. We traded down once last year and traded up twice. We came away from last year’s draft with 6 players. I expect something similar this year. I like that this fromt office goes and gets the players they have targeted.
  3. Mayock did say process like 5 times im his interview with Rosen...he must know something!!!!
  4. That’s where I am at. I like him too. He’s not my favorite but I don’t think there is anyway they draft him
  5. Can we all just come to terms with the fact that Brandon Beane is not going to draft Baker Mayfield? Then the debates can end. The dude is not going to hitch his reputation and his career on a small, unathletic quarterback who makes excuses and has trouble with the law. It just isn’t going to happen. He is going to draft Rosen, Darnold, or Allen. At least if it doesn’t work no one will blame him because he took a shot and trusted the process. Mayfield is the anti process. He’s the risky leap of faith. Not Beane’s style.
  6. Marquis Flowers is an interesting guy from the Patriots if you want a young guy with some upside. Browns just released Jeremy Cash who could be an intersting buy as a depth guy. Both are converted safeties. I like Flowers a lot and i bet he is a guy we are in on right now. If you want older guys Lawrence Timmons and Brian Cushing could be good depth adds who could start a year if needed.
  7. That won’t make him faster or help him cover toght ends. He’s terrible.
  8. EJ is a very specific scheme fit with injury issues. It’s in his best interests to come back to us and prove that this year wasn’t a fluke. Preston is slow and can’t cover. Not really coveted in today’s NFL. I could see him going somwhere like Green Bay to play inside in a 3-4. He’s a 2 down backer and he likes the Patriots so f him.
  9. Bucky is the worst
  10. I guess the idea that we lost 1 and signed 5 almost takes us out of the running. We would need Gaines, Brown, Thompson, Matthews to sign significant deals elsewehere and need guys like Leon Johnson, Tate or Humber to get deals as well
  11. I don’t understand how they have all of this cap space! Cut Allen Hurns already damn it. That’s the receiver we need.
  12. He might be working at Wal Mart
  13. Baker at Wyoming, nobody would even know who he is honestly.
  14. With what they were saying about Martin's mom and sister, i'm not sure I want to even fathom what they would be saying about McCarron's wife and mom.
  15. Bridge - Tyrod Bridge Quarterback - McCarron
  16. I don't like him, but this is a good fit. Good with Richie and played for Daboll in 2011, along with Charles Clay. And no comp pick. I wouldn't hate it. I'm guessing he goes to the Bucs and Ali Marpet moves back to guard. Could see the Giants too. I kind of hope this takes some suitors away from Ryan Jensen so we can swoop in.
  17. Agreed. A guy like Richardson or Dominique Easley,
  18. I would love for Crabtree to go to the Niners or Rams so he could play with Sherman or Talib
  19. You are probably right. I saw somewhere they might try to grab the Honey Badger and they need some edge help, so I was thinking cap space for them. Appreciate the feedback.
  20. Could be a nice gunner and catch an occasional deep ball. I think he would be a younger, cheaper, faster version of Holmes.
  21. I get that, but 4 out of the 5 years he wasn't looking for a back. So basically he did not take a running back until the third, the one time he actually needed one. Smaller sample than 5 out of 5 is all I'm saying.
  22. This is from the SI article: "He missed on a handful of deep outs—in an interview with NFL Network's Mike Mayock, he chalked up the gaffes to missing quality time with his receivers since the season ended." I don't know about you guys, but I really dislike this answer. Sounds like excuses.
  23. Patriots have been doing it for years! Nothing ever came out. We all kind of assumed. I thought his contract was way too rich, but compared to what guys are getting now, I would not mind it.
  24. I know he was their heart and soul and such, but his play was not good for them. My thinking was that we could offer them a chance to get out of the contract. I think he holds more value with us than other teams because of the history. Just a thought
  25. Klein was a McDermott guy in Carolina who filled in admirably for Keuchly he he was out. I thought he would be our first signing last year, but he signed with the Saints. He has proven to be a very poor fit for the Saints defense and got moved around all over the place and eventually to the bench. I think he has fallen out of favor in NO. After signing Demario Davis, I would think Klein would be available in a trade. The Saints would have to eat a lot of money if they cut him this year, but if they trade him, they only eat something like 2 million. It shouldn't cost much, something like a swap of picks or something. His stock is way down, but I think he has the potential to be much better for McDermott at the MIKE position. I don't love the linebackers on the open market and the Klein contract would be relatively cheap compared to some of the signings that are happening. If it doesn't work out, he can be easily cut after the 2018 season. Thoughts?
