  1. He doesn't have near the athletic ability of EJ. Rudolph is more like a Christian Ponder, Bryce Petty type with very little upside. Drafting him is spinning wheels and a waste of a pick. Not significantly better than McCarron or Peterman. Waste. I never say stuff like this, but honestly, I'm with you here.
  2. He can't be. If he is, the front office is incompetent. And they have shown that they are not incompetent.
  3. That's what teams do. They say that they are willing to trade down at a limit. They want Chubb. They can get him at 6 but not at 12. It happens all of the time.
  4. This idea makes sense if you can get to seven, then jump to 2. Giants can still get Nelson at 7. Tampa was probably hoping Chubb fell to them if the Colts traded back. Now that the Colts are at six, Tampa isn't getting Chubb. They could trade down to 12 and get Davenport.
  5. The consensus seems to be that the Colts were not willing to fall down to 12 no matter what.
  6. Seriously...where did that guy get his info lol
  7. I think it does make sense to trade down with #22. It is a good idea if we can't trade up. I want Darnold, Rosen, or Allen. Anybody outside of them aren't big time prospects in my mind. I know some people like Mayfield. I don't. Jackson has huge potential. Rudolph is teh same level prospect as Nate Peterman imo. Next year's class doesn't look great right now. Drew Lock from Mizzou is probably 1, Clayton Thorson from Northwestern and Jarrett Stidham from Auburn is probably the other guy. A lot of people like Shea Patterson of Michigan who transferred from Ole Miss. I like Lock a lot, but not 100% on the others. I prefer Rosen and Darnold to anybody next year.
  8. well it is intelligent conversation amongst some
  9. Good post and well thought out. The NY media would kill the Giants if they traded down with the Jets. Either we or someone like the Broncos have a deal in place with them or they are staying put.
  10. I think you only take that guy if he is significantly better than Peterman or McCarron. I don't think a guy like Rudolph is. I could see the upside of Jackson though.
  11. It would be so Jets if they are trading up for Barkley or Chubb.
  12. That's why I think a trade up with Tampa makes a ton of sense. They can't get Chubb now with Indy dropping to 6. Get to 7, then make it happen and the Giants can still draft Nelson.
  13. I think they like Allen as well. He is similar to Hackenberg. The funny thing is they epically failed at developing Hackenberg. Bowles and McCagnnan will be fired before Allen ever plays a down. I still think we want Darnold or Rosen.
  14. Don't do it. If you can't trade up in to the top 3, wait till next year. McCarron is essentially Andy Dalton imo and is better than anyone outside the top 3 in the draft.
  15. I think we can attempt to go ahead and trade up with Tampa, then jump up to 2 from 7. Now that Tamp knows there is no way they get Chubb, they may be willing to trade out. Tampa may have been waiting to see if INDy traded out to 12. If that were the case, they would have had a good shot at Chubb. Now they have no shot. You could try to get from 12-7, then up to 2. Who knows? I think Beane has a plan, now the market is set. Now we will see what he does from here.
  16. Visiting the Cards. Basically a team that runs our scheme with new head coach Steve Wilks. Should be a good fit there.
  17. One can't blame Beane. I think he is doing the right thing. If he traded to 3, what's stopping someone from jumping him at 2? Now he knows he has to get to 2 and is going to do anything in his power to get there. 1 - Darnold 2 - Rose 3 - Allen 4 - Barkley 5 - Mayfield 6 - Chubb
  18. At this rate, the Colts will probably still get Chubb at 6. It's a smart play for them. They likely didn't want to drop all the way down to 12. 1-Darnold 2-?????? 3-QB 4-Barkley 5-QB 6-Chubb The Giants pick at 2 is a huge ????? Do they go QB, do they go Barkley? But it is looking like Barkley, Darnold, Rosen, Allen, Mayfield all going top 5. Colts get a nice group of picks and still get Chubb in front of Tampa. Great work.
  19. I really think they want either Darnold or Rosen and are trying to determine what is going to happen at the top of the draft so they know how high they need to get. I think one of those two guys are the apple of their eye, unless Beane has been on Josh Allen for the last few years and is obsessed with him. I think they need to get into the top 3. If the Browns pass on quarterback they need to get to 3. If the Browns take a quarterback, they likely need to get to 2.
  20. I think the only way they take him is if they failed in their trade up attempt and he's sitting there at 12. Other than that I don't see it. But like you said we shall see. It's going to be a long month that's for sure.
  21. Agreed. He should really just be a special teams guy. I assume they value his leadership and such, but yes it is way too much money.
