  1. Wow a Rudolph and Mayfield thread! Just needs a little Tyrod and we are all good
  2. He will likely be there in the 3rd and possibly fourth.
  3. I saw that Steve Keith guy say the visit is scheduled for Monday. I know we are all focus on other things today ?
  4. Its weird. I don't know if people are looking at his size and statistics and projecting something that isn't there. I don't get it.
  5. Go to NFL.com and draft ratings and compare their grade on Nate Peterman to their grade on Rudolph. They have Peterman with a slightly higher grade. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/nathan-peterman?id=2558191 http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/profiles/mason-rudolph?id=2559942 The Rudolph love is asinine. He's a future backup with little upside. AJ McCarron grade slightly higher than both. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/profiles/aj-mccarron?id=2543497
  6. It is possible that the Jets know the Bills are getting up there and they decided to jump the Broncos. Either that and they know that the Giants are taking a quarterback. Either way, something told them they need to get to three right now.
  7. He must want Darnold or Rosen. Allen fits the "Cam Newton" model, but I feel like they are all in on Rosen, knowing they can't get Darnold.
  8. I'm pretty sure they signed him without meeting with him. Beane talked a lot about all of the people he talked to before they made AJ the offer. AJ then talked about how cool it was to step off the plane and feeling like it was a college atmosphere. So I'm pretty sure it was the first time he was there. I do think there is a good chance the Bills are going to be pleasantly surprised with what they are getting and that may lead to them feeling a bit less pressure to move up in the draft.
  9. The Jets are going to take the guy none of their fans want. That's just teh way it goes...so they probably traded up for Allen
  10. I think we were going to have to overpay for pick #2 regardless of what happened today. We are competing with the Broncos, Dolphins, and Cardinals for that selection. We have prime draft capital to offer, so I don't think our situation changed all that much. If anything, the Jets are now removed as a competitor, as they dont have much to offer to jump up to 2. The issue really is if the Giants don't want to trade out and we get locked out. If that's the case it is what it is and you punt on a quarterback. Beane may also be patient. He said a bunch of times we are in "striking distance." We are in a good spot if a quarterback inevitably drops into that 7-10 range to jump the Dolphins and still keep 22. It's still so early, but I don't think much has changed at this point.
  11. Could always offer an edge guy to the Bears in a trade up. That gets you to 8.
  12. Just to add to this speculation, Bucs just cut Robert Ayers. They have very little in the way of edge defenders so perhaps we could use Hughes in a move up to seven?
  13. The Jets make incredibly stupid decisions, time and time again. I like Allen more than most, but for the Jets to take him would be idiotic. By the time he is ready in two years, MacCagnan and Bowles will be fired. That's why it is the most Jets decision possible and therefore the most likely outcome. I do think someone could drop a bit, could be Allen, Rosen or Mayfield and we may be able to get one in that 7-10 range.
  14. I actually like the potential of Jeff Driskel quite a bit more, but Barkley is a serviceable back up at this point.
  15. Any twitter heads have any updates here? Is it a foregone conclusion he signs?
  16. That is also possible. I do think it is possible that NFL people don't like some of these QB prospects as much as we do. Maybe we can can get Rosen with a trade up to 6 or 7? who knows?
  17. I think they want Allen. I think Darnold is going 1, Rosen is going 2, Allen 3, and Mayfield 5. The question for me is, who is actually going to take Rosen at 2?
  18. Jarius Wright released from the Vikings basically gives you what Deonte Thompson does. Another option
  19. This regime is not going to draft a quarterback, just to take one. If Rudolph is there in the third, he is worth a pick. I still like the upside of a guy like Lauletta or even White more than Rudolph. If we stay it's going to be Smith or Edmunds. I don't think Nelson is there.
  20. He doesn't have near the athletic ability of EJ. Rudolph is more like a Christian Ponder, Bryce Petty type with very little upside. Drafting him is spinning wheels and a waste of a pick. Not significantly better than McCarron or Peterman. Waste. I never say stuff like this, but honestly, I'm with you here.
  21. He can't be. If he is, the front office is incompetent. And they have shown that they are not incompetent.
