  1. It is kind of messed up when consider his tenure with the team. That would be like us releasing Kyle in the same fashion. But im not surprised by Marrones lack of loyalty
  2. Thanks for that. It helps put things in perspective.
  3. That sounds good on paper but when all of the guys on defense are bigger and faster than you in the NFL you are likely to get yourself killed. Unless Preston Brown is the linebacker across from you. Then you are free to scramble all you want.
  4. Allen is also faster than Mayfield, which man people ignore. Small and slow combination no bueno unless you are a once in a lieftime Drew Brees. Allen is going to go very high.
  5. I agree with you. I still think Ducasse and Mills are terrible. The reason why the Patriots can throw together 5 undrafted or mid round pick guys and no one gets a sack is becuas Brady. Tyrod often scrambled into sacks and was generally really terrible in the pocket.
  6. McBeane is very loyal and like to stick with those they trust. unch is one of those guys. Glaring holes are QB, RG, RT, MIKE Milano is an undersized WILL. He is definitely too small to play the MIKE. I really like him, but I think he starts at WILL.
  7. 100% agreement. I always like to add this one as well: http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/nathan-peterman?id=2558191 Some people are in denial, but Rudolph is not the prospect they are dreaming up.
  8. The Steelers have the 28th pick. 12 and 28 are a big difference. Also they are not going to use that pick on Rudolph. I could see them taking him the 2nd, 60th overall. Would be a bit of an overdraft there, but not bad value wise. They also have a franchise quarterback, so they are in position to draft and develop guys. If it doesn't work, it doesn't matter. They also have only 5 picks. They aren't using their first round pick on Rudolph. NO way.
  9. I really am interested to see some comparison of Davis Webb to some of the guys in this draft. I know he feel to the third last year. If he were in this draft where would he rank? That should have some effect on the Giants thinking.
  10. Is it weird that the PED stuff doesn't really bother me in football but I absolutely hate it in baseball? I think most of it in football is guys trying to get back from injuries ala Andy Pettite. It is not straight cheating in my mind. I know i'm wrong but I just feel differently about it.
  11. They say this stuff every year and it never happens, but we shall see. That would be pretty crazy if it did.
  12. To me that is a good problem to have. You trade the young guy and get what you can.
  13. Gotcha. I think they will do their due diligence and vet these guys. My issue with Rudolph is teh lack of upside. I see very little difference between him, AJ McCarron, Nate Peterman...yet people want to use a 1st round pick. I just don't get it.
  14. Not sure they are going to SB Nation for their info. This guy is not a first round pick. 3-4 range who could turn out to be average. Has very little to no upside.
  15. I think judging centers is really hard. I don't know a whole lot about Bodine. To really understand a center's job you have to know which protection is called etc etc. What I do know is we only got one sack against the "terrible" Bengals O-line and just 2 sacks in two years. I know people who analyze these films and stuff for the internet are, for the most part, good at what they do. I don't put a lot of weight on their center grades just because the center has such a complicated job and you would have to know the game plan and protection scheme. Protections can be rather complicated depending on the front and who you are sliding to and such. I'm not sure some guy at PFF would be privy to that information. I suppose it is good competition for Groy. I still don't understand why they didn't try Groy at RG. Also Newhouse has some experience at guard as well. Could we see him kick into guard where his pass protection woes might not be as bad?
  16. He was on IR because of a bad concussion. He was recovered and then had a set back, so I figure it has something to do with that. But if he wants to play and is recovered we should give him a shot.
  17. Two guys I targeted as possible cuts this off season were Shea McClellin and Allen Hurns! Now they are available! I'm so excited and I am getting ready for a let down.
  18. We've talked about this before and some people agree with me, but I really think McDermott shelved the idea of taking a quarterback until he had his own GM and scouts etc in place. Why would he make such a huge decision with Whaley and his scouts when he knew Whaley was gone after the draft? This is the year for the quarterback.
  19. Dorsey owes us one. Maybe there is a wink wink nod nod there. Maybe that's why we got a third for Tyrod?
  20. There it is! That's my guy. Been harping on him for 2 months. He's the perfect #2. He's been inconsistent, but he's good.
  21. Jeremiah is an idiot. What a loser. He knows nothing. He forgot to put Mason Rudolph on there!!! Riot and rabble rabble rabble. Can't he see the noodle arm and the tiny hands makes him exactly like Tom Brady! Anyway this an interesting list. I am very surprised with Darnold at the top honestly, as well as the placement of Mayfield. This only fuels my passion to go and get Rosen!
  22. This is great analysis man. But you are comparing these guys to Preston Brown, which again makes sense. On paper, Minter and Brown are very similar, 2 down thumper linebackers. On paper Preston is very different from Compton. I don't understand what is wrong with comparing. Good work.
  23. As long as they are getting Rosen or Darnold in this draft, I don't care what they do.
