Is there a rush to judgement on Peterman?
MrEpsYtown replied to Sky Diver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peterman is another example of why guys need to sit. Could he become a competent backup, average starter? Maybe. But he should not been playing in that Chargers game. The staff was stuck in a weird spot because their "quarterback" just threw for 52 yards in an actual NFL game. Regardless, whoever we draft, they need to sit for at least 6-8 games. Preferably the whole season like Carson Palmer. -
Star is!

Bills have private workout with Baker Mayfield
MrEpsYtown replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah not sure how he is going to outrun NFL defensive ends... -
I think there is some nice healthy debate on here, and some ridiculous hyperbole.

Deonte Thompson might be coming back
MrEpsYtown replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is definitely a #4. I think he is going to think he is a #2 and that’s why i don’t think he will be back. But we shall see. -
I hear you and it is a good point. But I think Brady is a once in a lifetime situation. Using him as the example doesn’t say a whole lot jmo.

Thanks for this guys. Didn't realize USC pro day was on TV.

We shall see what happens. I have to trust those in the know and my own eyes over some guys on a message board, you know what I'm saying?

Dont forget he is smart and has opinions! Rabble rabble rabble! And he's rich!

Terrible mock. He doesn't have Mason Rudolph in the first! He knows nothing. Anyway, I'm am starting to feel like the Giants could want Barkley. If he is there at two they won't trade out. If the Browns take him at one, they will trade out. Breer mentions that the Giants love Barkley and Nelson. This is all contingent on the Giants not wanting a quarterback, but I think we we could have standing offers for the 2 and 4 picks. If the Browns go QB and the Giants get Barkley, the Browns probably trade us 4. If the Browns take Barkley, the Giants maybe trade out with us, and the Browns get a quarterback at 4. I think it is all contingent on if Barkley is available. Either way we would be guaranteed 1 of Allen, Darnold, Rosen.

Jackson is a project who could one day be something like a Michael Vick, a true weapon as a runner and a passer. He needs to develop. I actually see a lot of Cunningham in his game. Rudolph is a project who could some day be something like Brandon Weeden. He has the potential to be an average to below average backup. I wouldn't take either in the first round, but Jackson at least has the potential to be something. Jackson round 2, Rudolph round 3.

But you have to take value into account. People are assuming this guy is a first round pick and he isn’t. Besides Chris Trappaso, Rudolph is not regarded as one of the top fifty picks in this draft. You just don’t draft a third round quarterback at 12 overall. You have to take rankings and values into account. You cannot simply draft for need. That is how you wind up with roster devoid of talent. They really liked Nate Peterman last year and they got him in the fifth. Imagine how we would feel if the took him in the second instead of Dion Dawkins or Zay Jones? That’s what all if these Rudolph fans are suggesting. So we are going to take the 65th best player at 12? Why? That’s just terrible process. I dont think 95 percent of the scouting communiy is wrong and Trappaso and a few people on a message board are right. That seems highly unlikely.

Rumor: Trade up discussion with Giants
MrEpsYtown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that is the huge question mark for them. If they aren't taking a QB and they aren't taking Barkley, there is absolutely no way they should not trade down. They only have something like 5 picks in this draft. The have issues with offensive line and are switching to a 3-4 defense so they can use the picks. -
Are going to sign any receivers
MrEpsYtown replied to kirkwoodus13's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good post. We are definitely not in a good position. The one thing that we can offer guys is playing time. Sometimes guys just want to have a chance to play. -
Good stuff. Well said. Eh, Mason Rudolph would have smashed that door with a sweet deep ball. Baker Mayfield. Tyrod Taylor. Is that everything?
-
Man should have drafted Cooper Kupp or JUJu. Seriously though I really home Zay is okay and this is just an isolated incident.

Greg Gabriel Short Article On The Bills Drafting a QB
MrEpsYtown replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I appreciate the feedback and your analysis. My philosophy is that you need to draft potential high in the draft. Your last paragraph is 100% correct. However, if you can’t physically do it you can’t make it. There are number of really smart quarterbacks with weak arms. They are backups. With defensive players as good and fast as they are, you get guys with weak arms who are very smart throwing 5 picks in one half. Plus, while hand size isnt gospel, it is important in placea like Buffalo. Im passing on this class if I can’t get Darnold Rosen or Allen. I just don’t see the point.
