  1. I hear you guys, I’m all for opportunity, but its gonna have be enough magic to wash away the festering spreading cancerous sore left by Marrone and Hackett.
  2. Please let's not reminisce about those EJ/Thad/Tuel days.
  3. Unfortunately, he's a Doug Marrone/Nate Hackett guy. I tend to give LaFluer all the credit for the success in Green Bay.
  4. One of the issues with slip screens to backs is Josh Allen, and not in a negative way. A lot of times there is a spy on Josh, so some guy just hanging around the line of scrimmage waiting and spying. That takes away the slip-screen game as well, even in blitzing scenarios. Just my 2 cents on it.
  5. This is truth. Getting a foot in the door in the NFL is completely about who you know. That is how most guys who are not ex pros get a shot.
  6. I 100% agree. McDermott excels at some of the stuff that Kliff seems to lack. This situation allows Kliff to just deal with the offense and let McDermott continue to handle all the big stuff.
  7. So they have Rob Boras as TE coach who has been around a while and spent some time as an interim head coach for the Rams. Mike Shula is on staff who is a former OC, QB coach, and head coach in college as a consultant. They also have Adam Henry, who I am not sure did a very good job, but he has been around while and got his start under Lane Kiffin with the Raiders. Plus Aaron Kromer has been an OC and run game coordinator and interim head coach in the league before in multiple schemes. So experience on the offensive staff isn't the issue imo. Hopefully whoever they hire finds guys who will help implement their vision for the offense.
  8. There were a lot of people on here who were very high on him as well. IIRC some people wanted him in the second round.
  9. I'd be good with it. I thought BB was going to get that Atlanta job and take McDaniels with him, but I'd do it.
  10. Such garbage wrasslin!
  11. Norman Smiley vs Terry Funk. The truly dark days of WCW before they went the way of the Dodo
  12. Lombardi is a BB homer. He is basically complaining that Bill isn’t getting a job. Vrabel as well.
  13. Yeah I could see Pete Carmichael Jr. coming over, among some others. And I really like Brady, but it is certainly feels like the path of least resistance.
  14. Morris is a great dude. His success is going to come down to who the QB is and who the OC is. I’m guessing he brings Zac Robinson or something. I also think they trade for Justin Fields
  15. Now that the Morris news is out, I think it’s obvious Lombardi is talking about Atlanta.
  16. I like Morris, but I am definitely surprised. I am not shocked that it wasn’t BB. To me this is what Lombardi is talking about in that article.
  17. I would not wish Mahomes’ wife on my worst enemy, but if I were Josh I would take the Joe Namath/Wilt Chamberlain approach to that side of life.
  18. I’m quoting just to spam the photo again… But Josh is good. Hailee ain’t no Mrs. Wilfork
  19. I’ve been highly critical of the braintrust here, but I would never say they are content. I would say stubborn. McDermott had flaws, and coaching is sometimes instinctual. I would never say he isn’t trying to get better, but it does feel like they don’t want to rock the boat. But they work their butts off, no doubt.
  20. I know this isn’t directed to me, and again I am not trying to argumentative, just kind of presenting my thought process on this, knowing full well it isn’t going to happen. So are you talking win/loss record here? If so you are 100% correct, he has a losing record as HC in both the pros and college. But he’d be coming as an OC, so to me his overall record isn’t significant in this case. I look at it has he coached guys like Case Keenum, Johnny Football, obviously Mahomes, Davis Webb, Baker Mayfield and they all put up some ridiculous numbers in his system. The guy can coach offense and that is what I would want him to do here. Let McDermott coach the defense. Based on what I just watched, I think it’s clear you have to try to outscore KC, and if that’s the goal, Kliff is the guy imo. Our Jedi knight QB could use a little slice of the dark side of the force. Forget about complimentary football, let’s beat everyone by 70 with our unicorn.
  21. I mean I will say this, I am not sure he is a good head coach, but he certainly knows the offense side of the game he took the Cardinals to the playoffs in 2021 despite Murray and Hopkins being in and out of the lineup, no weapons, no offensive line. And I've said, I am happy he is a douchebag. That is what this team needs. A little shot of that attitude to make things happen and get results. Not feel-good growth mindset and empathy garbage. And it isn't worth arguing about because it isn't going to happen. But that's what I would do if I had the choice.
  22. To me, that guy is Zac Robinson. Played in the league and is coming from the Rams staff. My issue is with a defensive head coach coach, the guy they hire becomes the CEO of the offense. I'd want a guy with more experience in that role and that's why I like Kingsbury or Arthur Smith even though their recent work has been less than stellar.
  23. I don't see how. But McDermott was very complimentary of Smiley. He seems to love the yes men and scapegoats.
  24. I did think he was out, but I've kind of changed my mind. I do not think they are going to be willing to let him go until they know for sure that he can't play anymore. So I think they take the hit in 2024 and then if he's bad they cut him with a minimum dead cap in 2025.
