  1. Just guessing and speculating, but I assume that Beane is hanging tight to that 2019 first. He might see this year as more of the rebuild "tank" type year and that 2019 pick could be a very high one. He clearly was not expecting us to play well this year and our playoff run affected our picks. I'm very happy with making the playoffs, but Beane has a little bit of an uphill battle to get to teh top. At the end of teh day, that 2019 pick is kind of expendable when we have like 90 million in cap. Gotta find a way to make it happen.
  2. I see Rosen as a "get the ball out quick" guy. He is likely going to take sacks, especially behind our line. My hope is that he is smart enough to read coverages and to know where to go with the football pre snap. Out of all the top guys, he will be the least creative in terms of improvising. I don't think improvising is going to be a requirement in the E-P system. I've had enough improv quarterbacking for a lifetime. I'd prefer the guy who hangs in the pocket and throws that wide open dig that we've been missing the last few years.
  3. He used to be more of an outlier, think outside the box guy. But now he gets wind of what scouts are thinking and magically changes his board up. He didn't do that before.
  4. I know I hear you. It is possible. It is just unlikely is all I'm saying. I'm not banking on those odds.
  5. I really think people need to stop using Dan Marino and Tom Brady as examples. These are outliers and one in a million. Using them as examples to back up a point of view doesn’t really say anything. It happened, but that doesn’t make it probable. It’s once in a lifetime stuff. Should the Bills sign the guy bagging my groceries because Kurt Warner? It makes no sense. Im not trying to be a jerk, but this drives me crazy.
  6. Welcome! Can't wait for this draft. It's going to be a long month. Have you heard of Mason Rudolph? If not you are about to, so enjoy. He's the next Tom Brady. Even looks like him.
  7. We have no idea what happened. Maybe the cost went up and Ballard asked us for more and it went over the amount Beane was willing to pay. I love the fact that Beane doesn't seem willing to overpay, but in this instance maybe he should have. At the end of the day, trading to 3 simply guarantees you the third best quarterback. But I do like that Beane seems to have brass balls and is going to stick to his guns. Bills fans, take solace in the fact that the Jets will 100% f this up. There is no way they get this right.
  8. 1. That we should have drafted Mason Rudolph at 12 to get in front of the Jaguars who draft him in the third. 2. That Tyrod is so much better than whoever we drafted. 3. Mason Rudolph blah blah Baker Mayfield blah blah
  9. Wait so are we going to call him rich spoiled brat who wants to pick and choose where he gets to go? The horror!
  10. Patriots are the biggest scam of our generation. Right up there with health insurance companies, lobbyists, and high fructose corn syrup. F them. Their eventual fall from grace will be so pleasing.
  11. One of the guys are going to get past the Broncos. Probably Mayfield or maybe Rosen. For Beane, this is the striking distance scenario. While I would prefer a trade up and guarantee, if he is ready to move to 6-10 to get the sliding quarterback and can still keep 22, that would be best. If you can come out of this first round with a high end quarterback prospect (Iḿ talking Darnold, Rosen, Allen, Mayfield) and a MIKE like LVE or Evans or whomever, it is a huge win.
  12. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/profiles/phillip-gaines?id=2543851 Draft profile makes him sound like a guy with some length and athleticism to be a zone corner. When it comes to defensive backs, I have to trust McDermott.
  13. They must want Darnold if this is the case. Reports of their love of Darnold came out in December, well before smokescreen season.
  14. I like Lock, but the 2020 class is shaping up to be the next 2018 class
  15. Taking the seventh or eight best player at 1-2 is really not an overdraft. It's very slight, but you are talking about a likely franchise quarterback. An overdraft is taking the 30th best player in the top 3. An overdraft is drafting the 75th best player at 12. That is a colossal reach and a huge mistake that sets your franchise back because you are passing on 60 some odd players that are better and can likely get that QB later.
  16. Not a fan of a guy throwing to wide open recievers?
  17. It wouldn’t surprise me at all.
  18. If Beane wants Mayfield he is a badass because everything he has said he looks for in a quarterback do not really fit Mayfield. If he wants him he started his smokescreen a while go. Its defintely possible. They met with him at the Senior Bowl, Combine, and private workout. I still dont think he is the target, but could be. I still think the early pre combine rumors anout Darnold and Rosen are closest to the truth. Doesnt mean he can get them, but we shall see.
  19. He probably priced himself out. That is why Beane made the move for Davis. We probably moved on at that point. The fact that his price was so low says nothing about Beane missing out. We probably gave him an offer he thought was low and he likely got less on the market.
  20. Haha lol no this here’s a one way street
  21. For the most part they let the corners play, just not against the Patriots.
  22. Maybe they just needed that tiny bit of cap for an LB signing. But yeah i kinda liked what he brought
  23. Weird timing but defintely expendable. Made a few nice plays rushing as a defensive tackle, which I think they will do with Lawson on passing downs.
  24. As long as it is not in the first 2 rounds I’m good.
