  1. Am I the only person that thinks he looks like the guy from "I Love you Beth Cooper"?
  2. Baker won 62-52. He threw for nearly 600 yards. Rudolph threw for 450. Nobody played any defense.
  3. Not yet but he is still a free agent. I think they are replacing him with Gaines, but if he's willing to take a minimum salary it makes sense to have him back to compete. I think was okay, but definitely got exposed in certain situations. Wright went to the Raiders I believe.
  4. The key thing that stands out to me there is the idea that Rosen is the most "schematically diverse" quarterback in the draft. That is huge. I believe Brandon Beane said something along the lines of coordinators come and go so you have to have a quarterback that can fit any offensive scheme. That is Rosen. People may not like his attitude and all that stuff, but he fits everything that Beane has said he wants in a quarterback to an tee. Give me Rosen and we are set for a long time.
  5. Allen has projectable talent in terms of potential success in the NFL. Their physical ability isn't even on the same stratosphere. Allen has the potential to be ridiculously good whereas Rudolph has the upside of back up/mediocre starter. That's why Allen is a first round pick and Rudolph is not. The top of the draft is about upside and projection. It isn't even close.
  6. So if we don't spend our first round pick on Mason Rudolph, we will be able to acquire Rudolph in three years for a swap of 6th rounders. That's not a bad going rate for middling quarterback prospects.
  7. That's that 4.84 right there. He's fine against Preston Brown though. So we are good if we play the Bengals.
  8. Fair enough. I definitely think we draft someone, but I don't think it makes any sense to reach on this guy. I feel like there is a huge drop off between the top 4 (I know you don't like Allen) and Jackson and Rudolph. Then there is another drop off in that next tier. My question is, is the drop off between, say Rosen, Darnold to Rudolph bigger than the drop off between Rudolph and guys like Falk, White, Lauletta. To me it is. Rudolph is much closer to that lower tier. I just can't take Rudolph in the first. I think it is terrible process and an awful use of assets.
  9. I agree as well. The problem is that Rudolph, to me, doesn't fix anything. It just adds a guy. If you are just adding a guy, why do it in the first round? I think the position only gets fixed if we get one of those top guys, otherwise we are just spinning wheels.
  10. I know you do a significant amount of study so I value your feedback. So I'll ask, how much better is he in your estimation? Does he move the needle? Is he that significant of an upgrade that we need to go and draft him the first round. To me these guys are both middle pack, possibly average to below average starters. He is not a first round talent.
  11. I understand inflation and overpaying for upside. All of those guys are clearly top 15 picks, so drafting them in the top ten is not a huge reach. Taking a 3-4th round pick at 12 is what gets people fired. Its drafting EJ Manuel in the first, its drafting Cody Kessler in the third. Its lunacy.
  12. Here is the issue....This guy is not better than AJ McCarron and his upside is pretty much the same as Nathan Peterman. He does not move the needle, so it makes no sense. His ceiling is probably something slightly below Andy Dalton and his floor is Bryce Petty. His most likely outcome is Brandon Weeden/Landry Jones. That just isn't getting it done guys. If he is there in the third, fine. This franchise needs a true, high ceiling, franchise quarterback, not some middle of the pack guy. We just got rid of one of those and have two on the roster. Darnold or Rosen. Even Allen or Mayfield. Not this guy. Even Jackson has a huge upside in comparison to Rudolph. If you aren't getting one of the top guys, don't bother. Beane strikes me as a guy who is not going to draft a quarterback just to draft one. He is not likely to overdraft a 4th round pick either.
  13. It does really suck. I'm not sure what the answer is. It seems like there is quite a bit of emphasis put on the private workouts.
  14. This. He is terrible and just leads to the same quarterback purgatory. The fit makes no sense either. The only thing he does well is he throws a great deep ball and we have no speed. Sounds like a great match. Bad footwork, weak arm, pee wee offense and the smallest hands of all the quarterbacks in the draft. Sign me up for mediocrity. He's a nice guy and a leader. So was Kellen Moore. So was Christian Ponder. So was Kevin Hogan, who everyone was making fun of yesterday. He simply does not have he physical ability. Besides being tall, he does not fit anything that Beane has said he wants in the quarterback. I predict that whoever drafts him him will allow him to seek a trade in 3 years and we will all laugh at it ala Kevin Hogan. We will be talking about all the people who wanted him so bad, and no one will step up to say that they were wrong.
  15. Paup is the man I would hope LVE becomes our poor man's Urlacher...Bob Babich is doing his intro speech for the HOF. Since we are o close with the Bengals, here is a pretty good breakdown of LVE: https://www.cincyjungle.com/2018/3/26/17083828/nfl-draft-2018-are-the-brian-urlacher-comparisons-too-much-for-leighton-vander-esch
  16. Agreed. The guy can play. He is definitely better than Gaines to this point. He also allows us to do some more things, maybe some more man and press and things of that nature. I really like the look of our secondary on paper, but injuries be damned!
  17. Strahan is pretty good. I'd actually really love to hear Chris Canty do some color commentating. I love his stuff on the radio and could see him being the MNF color guy. He has a good voice, fresh analysis, and isn't a homer.
  18. Now if they could remove him from IR in Madden, I can actually use him.
  19. Those Hawaii jerseys are pretty flava though. And "Salas" looks cooler than "Chang."
  20. Grabbing his crotch for the Cowboys fans who boo the **** out of him, probably not a great look. Better to stay home.
