Have to outscore them. Defense doesn’t matter. Draft speed skill players

I’m ok with it. As others have said, I wish they had a real search and interviewed Kellen Moore, Kingsbury etc. but here we are. If we didn’t hire Brady as the OC someone else would have, so I’m fine with it. I like Brady and hopefully he dusts off some of that LSU magic.

I told you guys Brown was gonna be good! I’m wrong a lot so I will take this slight victory! Much improved this year.

I found this quote by McDermott interesting when talking about Babich: “Good coach. He’s developed players and I think when you evaluate a coach it’s ‘are you taking what you have and making it better.’ And I think it doesn’t need to get any more complex than that, and Bobby’s done that.” So did Washington take what he was handed and make it better? I would say absolutely not. To me this is not a loss but has the potential to be a chance to add something new.

Maybe I am giving McDermott too much credit, but perhaps a Babich was the plan. Maybe he wanted to model how he wants things done for Babich, who had never seen Sean call plays. Maybe it was a 1 year idea to reset expectations of the defensive staff to what the HC truly wants and kind of wipe away the Frazier influence.

I’m calling Ryan Kerrigan right now. He’s in limbo in Washington as the assistant DL coach and he obviously is familiar with the system having worked for Ron Rivera. He’d be the fresh bright mind who had success as a player.

2024 concerns at Saftey and Defensive Gloom and Doom

Bernard is going to be the mike for a while. They went out of their way to praise him. Linebacker is the last place they will look to upgrade, aside from depth adds. -
2024 concerns at Saftey and Defensive Gloom and Doom

I think the doom and gloom is over McDermott’s return. At least for me. In terms of defensive holes, they will figure it out. -
Desai was scapegoated in Philly, but doesn’t have an extensive body of work. He has however worked under some interesting guys including John Fox, Vic Fangio, Mike Pettine etc. The one thing I will say is he is an interesting guy you can freely add to the staff if he doesn’t become the DC. Others have mentioned, what is most significant here is that they are doing DC interviews. I hope that means they promote Babich.

People donating to charity TBass has worked with

Soooooo start donating in 9 dollar increments to Thad Lewis’ charity after he loses out on the OC job? -
I just don’t think they will keep both. If Tre’s rehab is going well, I think the would move on from Douglas, maybe a trade, but he has no dead money on his deal. It’s like 9 million in savings. I think he was a rental to try to get to the super bowl this year. They should extend him 100%. I loved the trade and the fit, I just would be shocked if they keep both guys. That is a lot of money poured into a position where they still have a competent starter in Benford. It would be awesome to see White-Douglas on the field together.

While I mostly agree with you guys, I just don’t see a world where McDermott is gonna put a rookie at that position. I know he’s been a bit better at playing the young guys lately, but safety is whole another ball game in this defense. I like Rapp and he did some good things so that is definitely a possibility and I wouldn’t hate it.

My only couple of things with Dugger, kind of studying him a bit is that he is older, he turns 28 this March. Also, he really has not been used the way the Bills used Hyde. Not really a true safety, perhaps he can be projected to that the same way Hyde was coming over from GB where he was mostly a nickel. That’s why I like Xavier McKinney, he’s a true FS who plays a ton of single high and 2 high, he’s also 3 years younger.

Greg Cosell - “I don’t think they have a number 1 WR”
MrEpsYtown replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. And I think that’s where the Bills should be headed. Kincaid should become the #1 receiver and Josh is focal point of the offense, and surround them with receivers who run really fast.
