  1. I think they will because ownership is going to be all over the pick as well. Terry will have a say in this whole situation and will likely endorse the choice. That said, I really think they need to come away with Darnold or Rosen.
  2. F him. He doesn't deserve another chance. Why would anyone want him in their building?
  3. Mayfield also had two concussions, threw a ball at TCU players head, crotch grab, throat slash against Georgia mouthing "its over" in a game they lost and chased by the cops. He keeps a list and went nuts over being called pudgy and things of that nature. He's thinned skinned and clearly insecure with a napoleon complex. This guy is a trashy POS and anyone who likes his antics and thinks Rosen is a self centered ego maniac needs to have their head examined.
  4. The X factor here is Terry Robiskie. He is such a respected receiver coach and he is the type of tough love coach who could get the most out of Dez. DeMarco Murray loved Robiskie and he and Dez are very close. I could see it happeneing for that reason alone.
  5. McDermott is massive, very athletic and long. He needed to add strength going in to the draft last year. So essentially it was expected that his rookie year would be essentially a redshirt year. Also spending camp and the preseason with NE he is probably quite versed in some of the terminology that Daboll will likely install. Lastly, he is very good friends with our, hopefully, future QB1 Josh Rosen, so it could be a nice transition.
  6. Miller was technically a left guard, but Louisville flipped their guards a lot, so he has significant experience at both. His problem essentially boils down to the fact that he isn't very good at football. Shaq will be fine. I want to see him fully healthy and working his butt off.
  7. Remember that Matt Miller wrote this in December: With two first-round selections thanks to the 2017 draft-day trade with the Kansas City Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills are perfectly positioned to move up and select a quarterback. And they would have to, based on the most recent draft order that has them selecting No. 16 and No. 19 overall. All the way back in August, I started hearing from rival scouts that folks in Buffalo loved Sam Darnold. When rumors circulated that Darnold wouldn't want to go to Cleveland (which he squashed), a source connected to the Bills front office texted me to ask if the USC passer would rebuff the Bills. Darnold won't be on the board for long--in fact he might be the first pick, if he declares--but there is serious smoke connecting the Bills to him. And Eric Galko reported this in February: They have aggressively scouting quarterbacks all year long. I think Josh Rosen is the apple of their eye. It'll be hard to go up and get him, but I think the tie between Buffalo and Giants GM David Gettleman kind of paints a picture of where they both might be thinking to go. They've traveled to see him multiple times. I've been told by people around the league that a lot of teams feel Buffalo covets Josh Rosen.... People consider that Buffalo and Josh Rosen are a match. It'll be difficult to get him, they'll need to get into the top two picks. Both of these reports came out pre combine and really early in the process, which makes me believe them. Typically teams have a board set and then the combine and workouts and things of that nature kind of check boxes and confirm "they are you thought they were." Ownership gets a chance to meet these guys as well. Rumors like this are always the ones that are closest to the truth. To me, they are getting one of these two guys some way, which will make me happy. I think everyone knows we are getting a quarterback and so the smokescreen is to bring every single one of them in so we can sort of hide which guy we really want.
  8. Hmmm give lots of money to reciever who excels at working the middle and intermediate level of the field....have quarterback who never throws there. Browns logic.
  9. 100% correct. But that is part of why quarterbacks are not prepared. I think the bigger issue is the lack of development in their mechanics and things if that nature. Also the fact that they are so young these days. Darnold, Rosen, Jackson are all 21 when the season starts. Back in the day, pretty much everybody took a redshirt and stayed in college for 5 years making them 23-24 year old rookies. That is such a big difference.
  10. I feel like any team that gets a call for a trade up will call the Bills to see if they can beat the deal before agreeing. For instance, say Rosen drops to seven and the Cradinals call the Bucs to trade up and make an offer. Im assumming the Cards will put them on hold and call the Bills to see what they will offer. I get the feeling Beane has the frame of a trade scenario worked out for most teams in the top 10.
  11. McDermott is way too boring to be a manager. Just sign them up with Paul Heyman and all will be right in the world.
  12. I think it's interesting and makes sense. At the end of the day you have The Browns, Bills, and Giants working together to move around the draft board. They essentially F over the Jets, which the Bills and Giants would both want to do. The Browns and Giants still get the guy they want, and pick up extra picks. I'll consider anything that gets me Darnold or Rosen, though I do really like Rosen.
  13. They just got rid of all of those "character" guys, so I don't Gase wants any ego types on his team.
  14. Colts are probably the best fit. Fun fact: Patriots had a chance to draft him and traded down with Dallas.
  15. Jets...so they can have 18 recievers on the roster
  16. I read that article a while back. It really is how my crush started. I don't know how a person could read that and not like Rosen.
  17. I am a little surprised no one is talking about Litton. I could see a situation like Jacoby Brissett where he goes before bunch of guys that were talked about more in the media.
  18. I really do think that having Conor McDermott here is pretty significant. I mean he was in the huddle with Rosen for two years. He knows how Rosen carried himself on and off the field, what type of teammate he was etc. Conor can fill in all of the blanks and speak in context about Josh. All the rumors about his teammates not loving home etc etc can all be clarified by a guy on our team. It really is a unique position because there are not too many UCLA offensive lineman in the league with this much time playing with Rosen. The team doesn't have to hire private investigators and stuff to find out the truth. The answer to these questions is in our building.
  19. Max Tuerk waived by the Cardinals. I liked him coming out of USC, potential center guard. At 6-5, 298 he is a little slender and hasn't really been able to add bulk. But has potential and might be worth a look. Went in the third round in 2016. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/11387/max-tuerk
  20. This definitely means they are talking Rudolph at 12. Definitely a third round pick at 12.
  21. I think they are trying to appeal to the style of today's youth, which is awful. Just terrible.
