  1. Probably taking Darnold in this scenario. Browns with Allen at 1, with the Jets taking Mayfield, the Browns could get Barkley at 4. I doubt hey trade out if Barkley and Chubb are there. Then we need to hope the Broncos pass on Rosen. I'm guessing they take Chubb or Nelson if they are there. 1-Allen 2-Darnold 3-Mayfield 4-Barkley 5-Nelson or Chubb 6-Chubb if he is there 7- This is probably the trade up spot. 5-7. I don't think the Browns trade out if Barkley is there. I don't think the Broncos trade out if Chubb and Nelson are there. I don't think the Colts trade out if Chubb is there, I think they do it if he is gone. I think they want Roquan Smith or Chubb. At at the end of the day I think we get ahold of Rosen or Darnold somehow.
  2. Ragland is a two down backer. He's a good one, but he was not on the field for any nickel or dime. He has a very limited skill set. He is still better than Preston Brown.
  3. So now that there are these rumors, we are all going to start hating Sam Darnold now? Ginger USC quarterbacks never succeed! But he does believe in Jesus...how much money did his parents make last year? Some fans have a distinct fear of success...I guess they don't want to be let down?
  4. I hope it backfires on the Pats! But they are probably trying to cash in on the last of Brady.
  5. My only issue with Darnold is the lack of experience at quarterback. He started 1 year in high school and two at USC. He is really young (hasn't turned 21) but a lot of draft people see a guy who could be Andrew Luck. Again, I'd be ecstatic with Darnold or Rosen.
  6. I've been a Rosen guy through and through, but have always been cool with Darnold as well. He is growing on me as a prospect and if that is their guy, and they are going to make it happen, I love it.
  7. Yuk. That's a huge overpay, especially a week before the draft and at this point in free agency. Good for him.
  8. The changes to his list usually reflect a lot of the chatter about guys at this time and where they slot in. I think last year he had Kizer as the #1 quarterback, then at like 4-5 a week before the draft. I remember EJ Manuel artificially moving up his list as well.
  9. I'm going Rosen, but I think Darnold is the other possibility. I think we could trade up for either and I still cling to those really early reports that the Bills loved Darnold or Rosen. One of those reports I think has to be true. Again the Darnold report was in December...not a smokescreen...it could be wrong, but it is not a smokescreen. Even the Rosen report was pre-combine and such. News at that time is usually closest to the truth.
  10. I'm all about reading coverages and passing into windows with anticipation. Going through progressions, processing information. I want the ball out, before receivers come out of breaks. Then you have to have the arm strength to drive the ball in there. If you can do those two things, you will be a successful quarterback. A guy who can do those things can beat any defense. I guess it really isn't a metric, but that's what I want.
  11. I think it's likely. Gettleman may have told Beane that if he could get to six, then they have a deal. It guarantees the Giants one of Barkley, Chubb, or Nelson.
  12. No pants immediately changes the context of the picture. Quite significantly actually.
  13. I lick the twinkie package, the tops of a protein shake, the cheese that gets stuck on the inside of my cheeseburger wrappers. I lick the lid of my baby's formula package. Such a bad habit.
  14. I know people don't like Walter Football, but he has the Browns taking Allen, Jets passing on Darnold for Mayfield, us trading to 4 for Darnold and Rosen sliding all the way to 23, to the Patriots.
  15. If so, Baker is the true millennial jackass here. Despite what people perceive, the idea of putting yourself out there and being honest and open, not trying to be fake, ala Josh Rosen, that is quite the opposite of a spoiled millennial child. Most of those people learn, from their parents, to try and manipulate the system in some way. Lie, deceive, present yourself as something you're not. Apparently there was a little of that with Mayfield and his dad, and probably more of that here. I'm a teacher...I deal with it every day. I have faith that someone like Kim Pegula would be smart enough to see what a loser this guy is. It makes sense that the Jets would like him.
  16. Ok I don't like this obviously, but I'm trying to stay positive. The Pats liking him probably means that Daboll is banging the table for him, so that gives me some hope that he is indeed our target. We have way more ammo than any team behind us to try to grab him. I think we have an agreement in place with the Giants based on who is there and if that falls through, probably the Broncos, Colts, or Bucs. Jason Licht at Tampa is a former NE crony, so that is not great obviously.
  17. I still think he's better than Mason Rudolph. I believe they brought in Peterman last year. To me though, what happened last year is irrelevant because Beane was not here.
  18. How dare he speak so confidently...what a stupid liberal millennial. Who does he think he is? ?
  19. Is this different than his "trade blueprint" report?
  20. 90% of the appeal of Nate Peterman is that he wasn't Tyrod Taylor. Now we have AJ and another shiny new toy coming next week.
  21. Lance does a good job with his evaluations. People say he sucks when his evaluations doesn't match up with their illogical man crushes.
  22. Anyone who likes Mason Rudolph, this is a warning. This is what you are signing up for.
  23. Technically speaking, he threw it about 45 yards. Was a nice throw though. Good touch on it.
