Should we have traded Shady back to Philly?
MrEpsYtown replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think his value to this team goes a bit deeper than the stats. He's been big pumping up Josh Allen, and he has the credibility to do so. I think it has a bit to do with Josh's swagger. I don't want to lose that for a 4th round pick.- 63 replies

Doug Marrone Not Getting Fired Per Ian Rapoport
MrEpsYtown replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Marrone wants to go coach the Jets with MacCagnan his boy. It's the job he wanted a few years ago, but Jets ownership wanted Bowles. I could see Marrone quitting, again, and taking the Jets job. -
I don't have a problem with hiring him as a QB coach or some sort of offensive assistant. He was drafted by the Patriots in 2003 so some of the concepts would mesh. Brian Daboll was the receivers coach on that Super Bowl winning staff in 2003 so there is a bit of a match there.

Chris Conley from KC completes the wide reciever group. Size, speed, and the pedigree. He is ready to step up and be a number 1, but he is still kind of buried in KC. He's a UFA with a relationship with David Culley. To me he is offseason target #1. Conley, Zay, McKenzie, Foster, Thompson if we bring him back...speed to burn. I don't need a #1 did name guy like Funchess. Give me Conley all day.

Hakeem Butler 6’6” 225 lbs WR ISU
MrEpsYtown replied to CEN-CAL17's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This guy is Ramses Barden. 6-6, 225 and jump balls all day. Go back and watch some Barden highlights from Clay Poly and they are the same player. Film is a bit grainy though. It didn't quite translate to the NFL. Butler is facing better competition, but the bottom line, everything will depend on his 40 time. -
Allen best Bills QB of 21st century?
MrEpsYtown replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Matt Barkley. Played probably the best game for a Bills quarterback I have seen in years. -
Aaron Maybin After Football - "Walking the Walk"
MrEpsYtown replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was a really nice story to see and I am glad he is making a difference. All the football highlights they showed were Jets highlights, inguessing becuase there were no Bills ones. He still sucked, but I like him a lot more now. -
Go with Zay. With Foster and Deonte Thompson on the outside with all of that speed, I think Zay will excel working the underneath stuff. I predict a huge breakout for Zay over the last few weeks.

I think that guy is Maxx Williams, and I think he will be cheap. He's just 24 years old, turns 25 in April. Baltimore's Nick Boyle is interesting as well. I also like Jesse James who got buried a bit behind Vance McDonald. I say we we get one of the Ravens and James, the former Penn Stater. Another guy who is sitting out there right now is Troy Niklas and I really don't understand why he is on the couch. He has athletic upside as both a blocker and receiver.

Preston Brown Lands on IR with the Bengals
MrEpsYtown replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is a large portion of the fan base, that, for some reason, disagrees with us. I'm really not sure why. -

Apparently Nathan Peterman is a really nice guy. And apparently Preston Brown is really tough and hard nosed and such. -
Yeah I think the position needs to be completely rebuilt and I would not be surprised if none of this editors guys are back. Thomas has definitely improved and I like what I saw in the Jets game. Croom is interesting, but he cannot block. The fact that a former QB blocks better, speaks volumes in my opinion.

His contract was so front loaded that he isn't making much next year. And I believe the dead cap and cap hit are the same. So it makes sense to just keep him. I like Maxx Williams and Jack Doyle in free agency. Tyler Krof and Jesse James are interesting as well.

Bills already behind in the NFL’s newest trend....
MrEpsYtown replied to Rebel101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Kansas City roster was already stacked when they traded up for Mahomes. He stepped into a real perfect situation. I hope Andy Reid doesn't screw him up and we are seeing some kinks in the armor. But he is very good. The Rams got the right coach and did a good job adding pieces for Goff. Perfect scheme for him and an amazing running back as well. -

He sucked. Slow as crap and big reason we lost the Jacksonville game. I don't know why he still has supporters. He held us back quite a bit and didn't fight for his teammates. And was excited to maybe become a Patriot. Anyone who would prefer to have him over Edmunds really doesn't understand projection and upside, or football for that matter. Many of the run fit issues Edmunds has, PB also had. Plus he sucked in coverage and was a poor fit for the defense. 3 things I will never understand: Why people thought PB was a good player. His super cold FA market proved otherwise. Why people thought Nathan Peterman had potential. I don't know what to say. Why Chris Trappaso thought Mason Rudolph was the best QB in the 2018 draft. The league decided he was a 3rd round pick and lost the #2 job to Josh Dobbs. Doesn't even dress. -
That thought actually crossed my mind as well, but he's under contract at a somewhat reasonable amount for a couple of more years. Not sure they would do it, unless there was something behind the scenes or they were up against a salary cap crunch.
