  1. The only thing that scares me is that he is saying Allen probably starts right away. This scares me because I think he could use at least 8 games on the bench. But he will look so much better than McCarron and Peterman in practice that the Bills are really going to have to practice some self control if they want him to develop.
  2. I really like Maddox too. He is small, but I think he could be a better version of Leon Johnson. Plus he used to play baseball so it's pretty much confirmed. I think they can get a guy that is cut after the draft. JMO
  3. This is very good. It means our staff uses common sense and rational thought and understands values and projection. Beane does not seem like the type of guy who will reach.
  4. It's obvious to pretty much everyone that this guy was a 3-4th round pick. All I kept hearing on this board was how the Steelers or Patriots were gonna go get him and I kept saying ...sure...maybe in the third. And here we are. The Steelers essentially replaced Landry Jones with a younger version of himself.
  5. Dorance Armstrong is basically a young Lorax. He's long and can rush the passer and could play some Sam in a 4-3 under. Ballage is also an obvious fit imo.
  6. Armstrong-Ballage-Crosby-McIntosh make the most sense at this point imo
  7. Hiding likely. People wanted to draft this guy at 12. Unbelieveable.
  8. Some options as Sam: Darius Leonard Nick DeLuca Lorenzo Carter Dorance Armstrong Uchenna Nwosu Ogbonnia Okoronkwo All pretty athletic guys who are very long. 34+ arms.
  9. To me the answer is Rob Chudzinski. He should be brought in as an offensive assistant just to work with Culley and work on Allen only.
  10. The Rudolph narrative on here is so illogical. He sucks. No one picked him, so we should have taken him at 22. Ok.
  11. Usually guys without talent have to have tremendous understanding of the game. It's why Kellen Moore and Ken Dorsey are QB coaches. Their lack of talent requires them to have a deep understanding of the game and have really good mechanics in order to stick around the league. It's why Jason Garrett is a head coach. It's why there are so many crappy backup catchers who are managers in baseball. Ken Griffey should never be a hitting coach. It was easy for him...what can he tell anybody?
  12. Receivers fell last night and there are a lot still on the board. I do think Chark is a possibility at 96 for sure. I think we see the BPAs go, then a run on corners, tackles, then wide receivers.
  13. I could see Chark, Pettis or Miller somewhere. Maybe Crosby the tackle somewhere. We have one...255 or something I think
  14. Yes I believe so. Jarrad Davis wore 40 in Detroit last year. Tanner Vallejo wears 40
  15. I didn't love it and it wasn't a good look, but I wish him all the best. We can't love Mayfield for his list and hate Rosen for this.
  16. I definitely don't know for sure. I think they really Groy, otherwise I'm not sure they would have matched that contract. I really like Groy as a guard, but I do think he played well at center as well. I also think that McDermott is likely pretty well liked because they kept him on the 53 man all year and he really did not play. McDermott was projected to go higher in the draft than he did and he has some potential. Most draft reports said he was going to need a year to gain strength, so I think he could be a sleeper at RT. Juan Castillo has typically had great success with projects like him. I don't know much about Wesley, but I think he followed Castillo from Baltimore to Buffalo. I love Hernandez as well, but I am not sure we can get up for him. I will say that the zone teams in the NFL are not going to like him, so that basically takes about half the teams out of the running for Hernandez. I could see him falling a bit more.
  17. Yep. About half the board swore Mason Rudolph would go in the first and that we should pick him at 12. All unsurprisingly silent today.
  18. I think It's O-line (C-G-RT) DT 3 tech WR TE CB RB
  19. I could see it. Last year they came away with what, 5 players? I could see them taking the same strategy. Honestly they filled the two biggest holes for the franchise so I think the rest of this draft is gravy at this point. I think they overpaid by a second round pick to TB, so I wish they could have kept that pick. Other than that I think they got good value and grabbing Edmunds is awesome.
  20. Oh nice! I actually didn't realize that. I would love it.
  21. I think he could definitely play either, but I think they will plug him in as a MIKE. Bob Babich seemed to be really excited about him in some of those war room videos. I know people wanted to paint LVE as the next Brian Urlacher because he is a white guy and is similar in size. If you look at the measurables, this guy Edmunds is basically Urlacher in terms of potential and athletic profile. I think that is what Babich and McDermott see. I know I am comparing him to a HOF player, but that is what he could be. Playing him at the SAM would be a waste of his talents and athleticism in my honest opinion. They could play him there early, ala Shaq Thompson to get him acclimated, put I think you plug him in at MIKE right now. Zone defenses require a lot of length. Quarterbacks try to find those holes between the Mike linebacker and the safety, or between the corners and the safeties. That's why Mcdermott values long corners and having a 6-5 MIKE with 35 inch arms and runs a 4.54 makes it more difficult for quarterbacks to fit the ball in those windows. It basically makes them tighter. Edmunds is a bit raw, but the signing of Star Lotulelei is going to protect him and allow him to make a million plays. I love this pick. I honestly hope the Bills still draft another backer like Fred Warner later in the draft as well to go along with Milano and Edmunds.
