This is pretty cool! Allen shirts!

I'm surprised the No Fun League didn't try to shut this down -
Dont forget about the Wang.

Agreed. I think that is the problem with some of the dinosaur coaches. The ones who don't adapt to their players really can't function anymore. Tom Coughlin had to change his ways to be affective. As much as I hate BB, he does put his players in the best position to be effective.

So from everything I read, young players seem to love him and he is a great teacher. He is able develop linemen. But he wants things done in very specific ways. Therefore, veterans who work with him ussually dislike hime, because he forces them to do it his way. The best example I could find was Eugene Monroe. This is what he said about Castillo: "Juan likes to develop young players, because that's what he did in Philly," McKinnie said. "He is a good coach and he does help you with your technique, but he wants it done a certain way. My thing is everybody doesn't have the exact same talent or learn things the same way. I don't feel like you can coach everybody exactly the same, not everyone is going to react the same. "Five individuals can't do the same thing instead of trying to make everybody a robot. You need to learn about your players and know their strengths and weaknesses and coach them that way. Juan is highly rated, but it takes time to adjust to what he's looking for." http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2014-08-15/sports/bs-sp-ravens-juan-castillo-0815-20140814_1_andy-moeller-juan-castillo-bernard-pierce

I'm really happy to see Shady in there. That means alot imo...that he is a good teammate and leader. It's so true. We know nothing. The fact that DiMarco and Jones, two people 50% of Bills fans thought should be cut are named captains, goes to show you how very little we actually know as fans. We simply have no idea on any of the intangible stuff.

I've heard a few different things. Multiple OCs is one thing. The pressure Elway brings. Sanders said on NFL network that he really liked Lynch, but Lynch didnt command the huddle and the fans booed the crap out of him, which makes it difficult to play. This is one of those guys who was a huge project, and projects just cant suceed without full devotion to their success. Its almost like immediately after drafting him, Kubiak and Elway already hated him. Multiple head coaches, multiple OCs and QB coachs and there is never any consistency. He just could not suceed in the environemnt the Broncos put him in. It is kind of what happened to Blaine Gabbert, who had something like 7-8 differnt OCs in 8 years. I have also read that Lynch is lazy, doesnt put in the time, and loves sitting around playing video games. But he is still big, young, has ahuge arm and such and maybe he can put it all together someday.
-
Yep this. He was really flashing as a gunner before he got hurt last year and he has the speed to make a ridiculous play from time to time.
-
And just to make an excuse or two for this guy...look at who his OC was early in his career when he looked terrible...that's right Rick Dennison. His coach was Kubiak who never did anything without Peyton Manning, same with his other OC Mike McCoy and then there is Bill Musgrave. I also believe that Vance Joseph is the worst head coach in football and it must also be very difficult to have John Elway of all people breathing down your neck. This guy is is the definition of a guy who needs a change of scenery.

Allen is the guy. If they can develop Peterman, and heck maybe Lynch on the practice squad or something, they have trade chips. Just like AJ McCarron, I think this is a case of collecting assests to maybe make some sort of trade in the future. Tyrod fetched a third. So did Bridgewater. McCarron got a fifth. I think this idea makes sense. Lynch needs to be rehabbed and has to put down the PlayStation controller. But there is still potential there, so I am okay with it. It's about collecting assets.

The Punter Situation/New Punter
MrEpsYtown replied to BillsFan692's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Specialists became true specialists somewhere along the way to today. There used to be a time when things like is were an afterthought. Now every little thing is timed and such. The long snapper, kicker, and punter have nothing to do in practice besides their specialty. So having a punter spending a ton of time with the kicker holding is good, and it becomes almost automatic. Having a quarterback doing it gives him less time to practice quarterback things. Its all about reps and time. -
Breshad Perriman to visit Bills
MrEpsYtown replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Graham was an over drafted tiny receiver who ran a 4.41. Perriman is a physical specimen who runs a 4.24. He has been inconsistent and dealt with injuries. Im taking a chance on a guy like Perriman. -

Yep definitely. I have no problem with the thought process of giving these guys a shot. The one big difference is that Perriman is huge and faster than Coleman. But they have similar issues. Now that Perriman has cleared waivers, he shouldn't be expensive. The issue with Coleman is that we took on his contract to see if we can make something of him. Perriman is the better and cheaper bet imo. -

That 4.24 forty is going to get him a second chance. He could still become Josh Gordon without all the weed. A bust yes, but definitely worth a look and maybe a change of scenery will do him good. -
Zay Jones is the key here. If he's is healthy and fulfills his potential then the receiving corps should be very good. If he still sucks and we have Andre Holmes as our #2, then it is very bad. Its all about Zay in my opinion.

Will the Bills grab a PS Quarterback?
MrEpsYtown replied to Punt75's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe that Alex McGough guy they were interested in pre-draft. -
Pre Season's Over, Post Your W/L Prediction
MrEpsYtown replied to RevWarRifleman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
5-11. I think this is more the tank year. I also hope that I am wrong. I do think that 0-8 is a very real possibility and then they make the switch to Allen. -
The Punter Situation/New Punter
MrEpsYtown replied to BillsFan692's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it's a very fair point. If they really disliked Schmidt they could have drafted Dickson or Scott or Townsend...maybe signed Marquette King when he was cut. That said I am ok with it. My guess is they had some agreement with this new punter, so they went ahead and drafted Austin Proehl...NE came calling and the punter screwed them and signed with NE instead. I think it happens a lot with UDFA. Bills were patient and got their guy. They must really like this guy, otherwise the move is questionable. -

Teams do this all of the time. They cut and bring in new kickers all of the the time. The Adam Vinatieries and Shane Lechlers of the world are outliers. As Bills fans we have not had a lot of turnover in the kicking game for awhile because we had Moorman and Lindell all that time. It's standard operating procedure in the NFL. Remember before Lindell there was guys like Mike Hollis, Jake Arians etc etc. it happens. -
This is clearly a situation where they really like this guy and his upside and they must know that either someone will claim or that they won't be able to get him on the practice squad. Keeping him on the roster must have been their only avenue to keep him. He was a very high priority UDFA.

"Big Name" cuts around the league...
MrEpsYtown replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nassib makes sense on a few levels. He's a Penn State guy, high motor, former walk on. He's also a bigger defensive end that fits the McDermott mold.
