  1. I don't know what to believe because his grades on Matt Milano are really good. He looks very good to me, yet McDermott keeps pulling him out for Ramon freaking Humber. So yeah I don't know what to think.
  2. They did this on Sunday with Marshall Newhouse a bunch.
  3. Gentry is a footbll player through and through. Reilly is an athlete who did nearly nothing at Nebraska. I think they are completely differnt entities. Gentry is the guy making all those huge plays with Allen on those highlight films, while Reilly caught something like 67 balls during his entire college career. Gentry caught 72 passes 1,326 yards and 14 TDs his senior year.
  4. He's a 4.46 40 and a 38 inch vert. And he put up 19 reps on the bench so he is a strong guy. I know it is unrealistic, but everyone aside from Breeland would be minimum salary guys.
  5. Right now they should sign Gentry, Spencer Drango, Vince Biegel (to replace Deon Lacy), and Bashaud Breeland. Gentry and Biegel are on practice squads and Drango and Breeland are free to sign. Probably should sign Matt Moore too. That should all shake things up.
  6. It makes a ton of sense.Unfortunately, the fact that they showed no interest in him at cut time tells me they probably aren't interested. Makes sense though.
  7. I agree on the assessment of Groy. He just isn't a natural center. The guy is a guard. Everything he does look s stiff and unnatural. I wouldn't be against trying Bodine there with Groy at guard simply because Bodine has the experience. Is it going to better? Maybe, but to my eye Groy has not looked good. Bodine has natural center movements but is susceptible to the bull rush. Something has to give but I'd like to see what Dawkins-Teller-Bodine-Groy-Mills looks like.
  8. https://www.catscratchreader.com/2018/3/16/17129082/carolina-panthers-film-analysis-how-bashaud-breeland-improves-the-secondary I posted this in the other thread. It's a good read. This guy can help us. My guess is he is finally healthy but maybe asking for too much money.
  9. Unfortunately you are probably right.
  10. Yes actually. Here's a good breakdown on how he would have fit the Panthers when they originally signed him. https://www.catscratchreader.com/2018/3/16/17129082/carolina-panthers-film-analysis-how-bashaud-breeland-improves-the-secondary
  11. I really do hope this pushes them to go sign Basaud Breeland. It's been the most obvious fit for the longest time and I hope this pushes them to pursue him.
  12. Cheated on his super hot wife. It's over for him now.
  13. Why is Ramon Humber in there? He is awful. Did Milano get hurt?
  14. He has nothing better to do
  15. I'll always be loyal but there is no way releasing Kerley will in any way affect this franchise immediately or long term.
  16. They released a guy making no money who is least likely to sign with someone else. No salary implications and they will probably be able to sign him back. Cutting Holmes has cap implications and they must feel they would lose McCloud and Foster. This move makes sense.
  17. Fair points all around. I do think Vlad looks terrible at LG and is probably better served on the right side. I do hope that what we saw was more a result of the Ravens front and exotic looks more than anything. Groy still seems unatural at center. To me he is a guard. I do hope that rotate Teller in here or there so he can get some experince and eventually take over for somebody.
  18. That's pretty much what just happened with the quarterback and the stupid love for Tolbert and even Ramon Humber last year. All year it was clear Milano was better, yet they just kept sticking Humber in there. I'm not sure I understand what they are thinking in their evaluations. Im not sure if Teller or Boettger can do it. I do know that Vlad and Miller cannot. That has already been proven.
  19. Would anyone be mad if Teller and Boettger were the new starters at guard? I wouldn't. I don't care how raw they are. Ducasse and the other guy simply cannot play.
  20. Nick Bosa
  21. I agree with you 100%. However, he screwed up trading AJ McCarron, or not trying to sign a vet like Matt Moore. He had to have known that there was a good chance that Peterman would flop. And now he has no wiggle room and has the potential of losing the locker room, which would likely end his career. He almost lost them last year. He cannot take that chance again.
  22. There are a bunch of lineman on the FA market who are better than what we have. You mentioned Boone and Joeckel. Both would be huge upgrades. In terms o cheap adds, I really like Spencer Drango, formerly of the Browns. I think he is a guy that you can plug in at right guard right now and he'd be better than what we have...and would be a vet minimum guy. . The whole Breeland thing is confusing. He is way better than what we have outside of Tre'davious, yet there has been no mention of pursuing him. Hankins makes a ton of sense as a tackle and I think a Perriman addition is obvious. The Pats just cut Chad Hansen, who is interesting and you still have guys like Malcom Mitchell out there. I would have cut Lacey on Monday for going offisdes on punt return. Inexcusable. I would pluck Vince Biegel off the Saints practice squad to replace him. My whole thing with this team is the fact that it feels like I am watching a bunch of boyscouts. There is no edge or toughness. We don't feel like that gritty team that no one wants to play. I think we lost that with Richie's exit. And as much as I hated Preston Brown, I think he did bring a certain mentality to the defense. The team feels neutered, and maybe that is the coach's fault. With that in mind, I would bring in two people: Alex Boone and John Simon. Both of those guys play with an edge and a motor that sometimes rubs other teams the wrong way. That character and toughness is really what is missing here. This team looked liek they were okay with getting their asses kicked. Even a guy like Dez Bryant or a washed up Brian Cushing would bring that edge. This team looks soft.
  23. Orchard is a good solid player who won't change much. He does add depth. I like the signing, but like I said, it doesn't change much.
  24. He got that idiotic penalty for knocking the ball out of someone's hands after the play like a 5 year old. That's all I remember him for.
  25. No one should be surprised by any of this.
