Shady throwing shade at Bills O lineman
MrEpsYtown replied to Don't stop billievein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And that's why you don't draft Jonah Williams in the top ten. He did not look good against NFL quality defenders like Ferrell. I myself thing that Williams could be an all pro at center. He is not an NFL quality left tackle and I think he would struggle on the right as well. I believe his skills translate best to center. -

The best part about this thread is that our Bills are not any part of the discussion. -
The Quarterback Shuffle 2019
MrEpsYtown replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because if their quarterback didn't blow, then they have a shot at competing. That is not a bad roster. They also have Marquise Lee coming back. They should not tear it down yet. But Bortles has to go one way or another. -
The Quarterback Shuffle 2019

See i think Bridgewater to Jacksonville makes teh most sense. He can dink and dunk and has short and medium range accuracy that allows you to play conservative Marrone-ball. He is the anti-Bortles. Jacksonville is in a bad way. Even if they cut Bortles, Malik Jackson, and Calais Campbell, they would only have 19 million in cap. Jacksonville's situation is a great lesson for why Brandon Beane tore it down and ate all of that dead cap. Jacksonville should be adding to their team and trying to compete, but it's going to be all patchwork going forward. If I am a team like teh Bills, I take advantage of them and pilfer their roster, maybe trade for a guy like Brandon Lindner. -
Packers to hire Titans OC Matt LeFleur
MrEpsYtown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wonder if he will keep Mike Pettine's defense in place and just focus on offense. -
Is Malik Jackson worth a look?
MrEpsYtown replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah Jackson is gone. He was getting phased out near the end of the season. -
Thats fine, but he's still going to go in the top 10-15 and is still better than Mason Rudolph. I think Haskins goes to the Giants for sure.

Ah I got made fun of a bit on here for suggesting he was going to be a really hot coaching candidate a couple of months ago ?♀️ -
Arians expected to be TB HC tomorrow

So the only reason this is interesting to me is if he bring Todd Bowles with him, or like Chucka Pagano. Either way they would be making the switch to a 3-4, making a lot of their personnel like Gerald McCoy and even Kwon Alexander pretty poor fits and likely available. Even guys like Lavonte David and Jake Cichy would no longer fit that well, though I doubt they would move David. -
I agree, but I think you have to willing to overpay in a trade or in free agency, especially while your quarterback is on a rookie deal. There is no reason not to. Overpaying in the draft is bad business as you pass on possible elite talent to fill a need.

Difficult to find that information, but he's coached under Steve Mariucci, Steve Fairlchild, Bruce Arians, and Bill Musgrave, who all run very different schemes. When he was head coach at UTEP, it seems like he ran a lot of power run. Watch some Will Hernandez highlights to get an idea. I do think we need to get back to power and gap scheme running.

WR Duke Williams of CFL’s Eskimos Signs with Bills

Allen is one of those "plays way faster than times" guys. But it did make him drop in the draft a bit. -
Wild Card Sunday: More FA targets to watch
MrEpsYtown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was a terrible situation. It was one of those drunken rages, and the guy he assaulted opened to be a cadet. Bug I think Beane and McDermott are willing to take chances on guys with this type of sitauation. It happened a long time ago. They just signed Duke Williams, and Dion Dawkins had so sort of testsorone rage arrest as well. Anyways I was saying the Alex Lewis could be a guy available for trade this offseason, and he's played well when healthy. I think our front office will be open to being creative to improve the line....it doesn't just have to be through free agency and the draft. -

I'm hoping Joey Bosa or Melvin Ingram take Tom Tom's head off. -

In terms of speed, ran the same forty as Anquan Boldin and Keenan Allen. Obviously it doesn't mean anything, but trying to give a comparative for people. -

Guy showed some big time skills at Auburn and was a 5 star recruit guy. Got kicked out fo Auburn beating up some guys or something. But this I like. Interesting add to the 90 man roster. actually I love this -
Look at the Chargers....it's a scrap heap. Okung and Pouncey former high draft picks by other teams. Pouncey a cap casualty, and #15 overall. Okung was a top ten pick signed as a free agent but an all pro left tackle. Feeney a third rounder. Sam Tevi a 6th rounder. Schofield a former third rounder claimed off waivers. Again, you just have to find the pieces that fit.

The big thing though is that Quenton Nelson is an elite can't miss prospect. The guys going to be in the hall of fame if he stays healthy. What they did do is draft guys at non premium positions when the value was there. Ryan Kelly, #18 overall. Costanzo #22 overall. Glowinski was a former 4th rounder. They cut Austin Blythe, a former seventh rounder who is a really good starter for the Rams. There is value for offensive line picks mid to late first round. Also, as with Blythe and Glowinski, it's just about finding the right guys. Using a top ten pick on guy guards, centers, right tackles, only makes sense if they are Nelson level players. And I can assure you there are no players like that in the 2019 draft. Thats the difference. You can't reach on a non premium positions in the top ten unless they are elite can't miss prospects.

Wild Card Sunday: More FA targets to watch
MrEpsYtown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Another guy not playing is Alex Lewis of Baltimore. He's being replaced by James Hurst who is among some pretty good guaranteed money and Orlando Brown is at right tackle. They also have Bozeman. Lewis has been hurt quite a bit, but good when he is in there. He's got one year left on his rookie deal, I'd call the Ravens and see is he is available, as he doesn't really have a spot anymore. Could play either guard and could probably play center as well. Worth a late round pick for sure. -

Maxx Williams is a nice fit as a tight end as he can play fullback as well. 86 Nick Boyle is actually very similar and also set to be a UFA. They both block well and are underrated recievers. Grabbing one of them and say Jesse James instantly fixes the tight end position. My real offseason target is Forrest Lamp of the Chargers. He's healthy but inactive. I think they will be willing to move him for very little. The guy has big time potential as a guard, got hurt, and is now blocked. Perfect buy low in my opinion.
