  1. From what I recall, he was lauded as being a really good special teams guy coming out. Blocked a bunch of kicks and things in college. I like the upside and the price. I truly think he can provide everything Hollins did with shoes on.
  2. McDermott coached daddy Samuel in Philly yes?
  3. It’s a fun adventure to read this and read the post from when he signed last year. But like I said, his opportunities need to be going to Coleman and Palmer and Shakir and Samuel. We will be okay.
  4. well they both bring the lunchpail…high motors etc
  5. I still think he is a fit even with the Palmer add.
  6. I feel you. I’m not holding my breath for scheme type change, but certainly one can hope.
  7. Yeah I think he’s interesting. But this is not a chess piece type of defense. We are very traditional position roles. This is a 4-2-5 cover 2/3 with 4 down defense that is incredibly vanilla. If he just lines up at RDE it kinda seems like it takes away his value. This is the kind of guy the Ravens make a beast. But I guess we shall see. Zo Alexander was kinda the only guy who’s had success in a hybrid chess role here.
  8. I feel like Tyrell Shavers can do everything he can do at a fraction of the cost. I think he can take over that role, especially on special teams. The reality is Hollins played too much. Good role player who was asked to do too much. If we gave him 8 million I would be concerned.
  9. Brown going to Panthers makes me sad
  10. Is there like a Canadian conversion for speed?
  11. Hey no politics dammit! I kid I kid
  12. I tend to agree as I am happy with Dalton so far and if he stays healthy hopefully really breaks out. But Pat was a late 2nd round pick, and Dalton obviously a 1 we traded up for. Plus Pat has played with garbage QBs and Dalton is playing with the MVP. So point taken, but I do think that those differences are significant.
  13. And to me that’s what they want. Precision route running, catches everything, blocks. Team player. He will help.
  14. I just think he’s not their flavor of receiver. He doesn’t catch the football
  15. I’d give that to Benford
  16. perine is a third down guy, so if that’s what he is getting I am guessing Ty Johnson is a goner, which kinda sucks.
  17. Somebody on the board the other day said there will be some serious sticker shock. He was 100% right. Sorry u can’t give credit specifically. But these are some crazy numbers out there. I’m ok grabbing one big fish and waiting out the rest of this.
  18. Yeah but think of the fun there will be with a headcase like George Pickens and a diva like DK Metcalf. Especially when Rodgers throws every pass to the tight end Friermuth.
  19. I actaully like this for the Bears. Their achilles heel has been their O-line. Dalman is a pretty good, young, smart, ascending center. They traded for Jonah Jackson and Joe Thuney. They are trying!
  20. I guess it depends on what could be considered a big move...Hendrickson would be huge. Josh Sweat would be a huge get. Jevon Holland as well. I'd love a guy like Tre'von Moehrig or Andre Cisco. In terms of offense, I am not sure where they could go aside from a guy like Palmer. Maybe Kupp, which would be considered a big move.
  21. yeah I assume mostly bargain bin stuff with all the big extensions i would love Ward actually.
  22. My guesses of what could happen... Defense: DT - Bobby Brown III. Kinda feels like a guy who could be their big splash. Joe Marino talked about it a ton, but he is a perfect fit. CB - Eric Stokes. They had a bunch of interest in 2021 pre-draft. 4.29 40 with upside despite numerous injuries. DE - Payton Turner. Former Ryan Nielsen prodigee who has not put it together. But maybe interesting super buy low. Safety - Ifeatu Melifonwu. Another guy they liked pre-draft. He has some interesting traits and is a former corner. There is some Micah Hyde there, slower corner who moved to safety, plays some nickel and has made an impact at times. Offense: WR Josh Palmer...a ton of Joe Marino stuff on how well he fits. I'd be down with it. That's all I got
  23. With this regime? Not likely, but with JA I think you always have a chance!
  24. How funny would it be for them to go after Darnold again? Moving on from him destroyed their franchise. They forced the Zach Wilson pick, and some truly special players went early in that draft. They could have kept Darnold and drafted Jamar Chase or Micah Parsons, or Penei Sewell or Patrick Surtain and could have skipped this terrible Rodgers experience. Then they took Elijah Moore round 2 and passed on Landon Dickerson, Jevon Holland, Creed Humprhey...moving on from Darnold was an awful move for them. In theory they could have come away with Chase or Parsons or Sewell, plus Vera-Tucker and Dickerson or Humphrey.
