  1. None of those guys have the talent that Josh does. Tyrod has some skills, but he's not a quarterback. Allen has got the ability and is going to work hard.
  2. I saw a similar chop block, Bears receiver went low on engaged DL on a split zone play. It was clearly a mistake like Dawkins. Rams guy didn't act like a maniac and call people out saying they are dirty. Jenkins is a biotch.
  3. I think Stanford can play will. Technically, Corey Thompson is the next Will backer up. We likely see a lot more Lorax off the ball and lot of Raphael Bush as well. Richard Jarvis is on our practice squad. The best free agent is probably Marquis Flowers, former Bengal and Patriot. You've former Dolphin and Falcon Jordan Tripp as a FA. Practice squad wise, there are some interesting guys on other teams- Xavier Woodson Luster - (knows the system) Browns Brandon Chubb (Bradley's brother) - Panthers Josh Woods - Bears Chris Worley former OSU - Bengals Brady Sheldon (interesting guy from Ferris State) - Packers Kyle Wilson - Chargers James Burgess - Dolphins Matthew Thomas (FSU)- Steelers Josh Carraway (TCU) - Redskins That's all I got.
  4. You can't have it both ways at this point in his career. If you want a guy who is going to make a ton of plays and take risks, there will be wow plays and there will be mistakes. But at least we got a guy with some stones as opposed to watching Tyrod and EJ Manuel and Trent Edwards being afraid to pull the trigger.
  5. As an Andy Reid disciple, I don't think his game management skills will get better. Hopefully, we can have a ridiculous offense like theirs, so it doesn't matter.
  6. Good stuff in here. I don't think it was a dirty play. https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2016/3/23/11288894/nfl-rules-changes-chop-blocks-cut-blocks-legal-illegal-explanation
  7. From my experience, and I might be wrong, that was a botched backside scoop zone block. I teach my linemen to high low like that, but its all about timing. You want to cut the guy on the combo block once the other lineman is disengaged. I don't think it was a dirty play, I actually think it was John Miller's fault for not working to the next man. Him staying on Jenkins left Dawkins out to dry. I think it was more timing than anything.
  8. Yep its this 100%. Losing to some guy named Brian St. Pierre and a backup running back Willie Parker. Heartbreaker.
  9. That's all you had to type. We having been saying for years that once you get the quarterback straight everything else kind of works it self out. We have our guy. Yes he has some things to work on, but he's going to work his ass off his entire career. He's guy. We need some o-linemen in free agency, we need a reciever, and a tight end. We need a defensive tackle as well, and perhaps a defensive end. But we have that cornerstone piece...now we can really build a team.
  10. Agreed (I think OL is fixed in FA and defense is drafted early). I'm just saying this two Noah Fant threads so far and we are months away from the draft. My fear is that there will be many, many, many more threads advocating picking the dude in the top ten.
  11. I think the run game needs to be revamped more than anything. I thought that we were supposed to return to a more power game under Daboll, none of that has happened. There has been no pulling and power plays. Just a lot of inside and outside zone.
  12. Looks like Noah Fant is going to the Mason Rudolph of this year. The guy people want us to draft in the top ten, who goes significantly lower than that on draft day.
  13. I definitely think a reciever, tight end, center, and right tackle come in free agency. I think the draft should, and will be mostly defensive players. Kyle had a chance on the big touchdown through to Anderson and for some reason dove at Darnold's legs. If he just kept running, we would be talking about a Bills win today.
  14. I know there isn't a ton of love for Bodine, but he's a natural center. There has been a huge drop off since he left the lineup. Ryan Groy is just so stiff. He doesn't work there. They are probably better off signing a street free agent like Dillon Day and just throwing him in there. Groy lacks the athletic ability and foot quickness to play the position. I think the pass protection has gotten noticeably worse since he has been in there and it was way worse in the beginning of the season until he lost his job to Bodine. Sign Sean Harlow off the Falcons practice squad, Jake Eldrenkamp off the Browns, JJ Dielman off the Rams, Anthony Fabiano off the Eagles. My point is that all of these guys are natural centers, who are better fits at the position than Ryan Groy.
  15. I think they need a penetrating three technique. A Geno Atkins-Aaron Donald type. I know those guys don't grow on trees, but that's what the defense is missing. I love Kyle, but he isn't that anymore. He's a nice rotational player who looks gassed at times. Harrison Phillips or Jordan Phillips....neither fits the bill. People have mentioned Sheldon Richardson in free agency and that's the kind of player this defense needs. Maybe that's Quinnen Williams or Ed Oliver. They also need more pass rush and improvement from Tremaine. I think there is a chance we go after Richardson. Our draft board is going to be, imo: Bosa Q. Williams, Ed Oliver, J. Simmons, Brown Josh Allen That's where the value is going to be in the draft. Forget about top ten wide receivers, guards and right tackles. Those will all be reaches we will regret. A defensive front seven player is probably our first pick. I think offensive lineman come in free agency.
  16. I think we beat the Dolphins and spoil their playoff chances. I think we have a chance against the Lions. I think we match up well there. I am so curious how Allen will play against the Patriots. But I'm guessing we finish 5-11.
  17. Josh Allen is my guy. Love the way he plays and is a very versatile piece on defense. I wish we could have Bosa, but it seems unlikely.
  18. Agreed 100%. These games are all about learning and development of our quarterback and I think there is a lot to be learned about this loss. He's a one man wrecking crew and his teammates need to step up. Sure he made some mistakes, two very bad throws, but again he can learn from those. I'm not a tanking guy, but I have no problem losing competitive games down the stretch, where we wind up with better draft position.
  19. They haven't put Taron Johnson on IR?
  20. You know it's going to be a defensive tackle or Josh Allen. Id love to have Enron sure. What I don't want is a projection tight end that I pick in the top ten who is non existent for four years, so I reject his 5th year option and he goes on to a new team where he actually makes an impact. Id rather be the team who signs Fant in 4 years as a FA.
  21. My problem with him is that he wasn't even the best tight end on his team. He's all projection, a guy like Eric Ebron. I can't see picking a tight end in the top ten, but makes sense in a trade down scenario.
  22. I think Martin Nance takes that legendary status. Followed closely by Da'Rick Rogers.
  23. I think the Jets will only hire a guy with previous head coaching experience and Marrone still has a positive reputation in terms of offense because he was Sean Payton's offensive coordinator that one time. I don't think his reputation has taken a hit at all because Bortles is the scapegoat. They will not hire another nice guy players' coach like Bowles. They will hire an ***** like Marrone.
  24. Because they are cheap and they have Isaiah Wynn on IR. It's how they do things. They just don't pay very many people.
  25. The Colts just randomly added Daurice Fountain onto their main roster from the practice squad. Maybe we were sniffing around. I still think we should add Troy Niklas as we are short on tight ends. Perhaps we can unlock some of that potential.
