  1. I hate it for a lot of reasons. First, if he's going to play right tackle, taking him in the top ten is not getting value. Having an elite right tackle is like putting lipstick on a pig. Second, a lot of people are advocating drafting him to be a left tackle and moving Dawkins to guard. I hate this as well. This feels like drafting a guard in the top ten. The difference between Dawkins and Williams is minimal if anything. I'm not going to replace a guy who has been solid for two years, not perfect, but solid, with a guy who might be solid. I am very much against top ten centers, guards or right tackles. Unless they are Quentin Nelson, Zach Martin, Alex Mack like elite players. Lane Johnson turned out to be elite, but was a risky pick in a crappy draft. Conklin has been very good, but has been hurt a ton and his team still hasn't gone anywhere. Lastly, drafting a left tackle in the top ten makes sense if the guy is elite. Williams really isn't. He projects to be very good, but if you really pay attention, he sounds an awful lot like Luke Joeckel. He's a technician, not a road grader, shorter arms, probably better at guard, struggles with speed rushers etc etc. Being a technician sounds good on paper, not so much when Aaron Donald or Jadeveon Clowney are smashing you in your chest. He's 6-5 301...that is long an lean and many analysts have mentioned that he's likely to weigh in at less than 300 at the draft. That's a problem. Again, I like Jonah Williams and I think he will be a good player, but I do not think he is an elite prospect. I think the idea of having him sounds good on paper, but he has some flaws in his game. This isn't a slam dunk and there is not huge upside here. He's a plug and play, might be solid guy. I want upside with my top 10 pick. Again thats me. I'm an o line guy through and through, but these are my beliefs when it come to the draft.
  2. Yep that's what I meant. I actually think there is a chance (albeit a small one) we could lose Leslie Frazier and Daboll. A team that might want an experienced coach to right the ship, Frazier makes some sense. He'd actually make some sense for Cincinnati, Tampa, Arizona. He's very well liked and respected around the league. There has been murmurs about Daboll, for a few years actually. I guess we shall see what happens.
  3. My true dream is that they hire Rex Ryan, and they are forced to trade Geno Atkins to us, becuase he doesn't fit the defense.
  4. That's why I love Ike Boettger for his reaction yesterday. He didn't hesitate at all to jump on Kiko. I think it's huge for a UDFA who is finally getting a chance to play to run in there and get on Kiko, no hesitation. Really cool to see that edge. Centers and guard need to be nasty in there. I love it.
  5. If Daboll gets a gig, I'd be all over Gase.
  6. I appreciate your ambition here, but Harrison did nothing this year. He looked small and overmatched. Neither he or Jordan Phillips are starters. I think a three Tech is a glaring need here. McCoy, Sheldon Richardson, Grady Jarrett, those types of guys should be on the radar for us imo.
  7. Made no sense from the beginning. I wonder if Kubiak steps back in.
  8. Josh Allen round one, Zach Allen round 2? Allen becomes he new Williams?
  9. I don't care about he Raiders. Does this mean Daniel Jeremiah becomes the main draft guy? I always liked him and his takes.
  10. Looks like a high motor,, high effort, lunchpail type guy. ?
  11. I know it's early in the process, but I do think Haskins goes top ten and I think one other guy depending on things like the senior bowl and combine. Probably Drew Lock.
  12. Fournette seems like an ass, but he isn't the problem down there. It's Doug Marrone. And Blake Bortles.
  13. I'm just watching Quinton Spain and Mark Glowinski. Both are nasty and would be huge upgrades in free agency.
  14. Agreed. I actually thought he held his own.
  15. His hiring made no sense in the first place.
  16. I thînk getting a young veteran is best for Josh Allen. I think we go all in on Mitch Morse. There is the Andy Reid connection and others in our front office connected to KC. He's the perfect fit. I also like the kid from Wisconsin, but a young veteran really takes the pressure off of Allen. I think Paradis goes to the Jets.
  17. The Jets fans will hate it. They absolutely hate him from his time there. Which would make it hilarious if the Johnsons go that way. It would be the most Jetsy thing.
  18. Hopefully the Giants and Jaguars reach on quarterbacks, dropping some talent down.
  19. Josh Allen territory. The really good defensive tackles and Jonah Williams probably gone at that point.
  20. Not the biggest Zay fan, but I like the way he played today. Made some catches in traffic and got some YAC. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come.
  21. I thought this was a big deal when I saw hit. Juxtaposed with Preston Brown standing around watching a cheap shot, this rookie UDFA went after Kiko and got some good shots in at the bottom of that pile. That was huge to me and show the character of the team, and how teammates battle for Josh. Bravo Ike Boettger. Little nasty streak in him and Teller that I like a lot.
  22. Man I forgot about Duke Williams. That guy sucked.
  23. Miami is dumb. They should be running the ball and giving it to Drake every play. I'll take it though.
  24. He's been a non factor. I think he's done here.
  25. Oh man this announcing is not good
